hi i'm confused whether or not i should get an ipad for med school cuz you mentioned that you think passive note-taking is a waste of time and i was thinking of getting one solely for taking digital notes. do you guys still think i should get an ipad? cuz i don't understand why an ipad would be necessary if you don't think notes should be taken at med school.
Hey Pratiksha, I'm not sure how far through the video you made it. Lydie stated using iPad with Notability was excellent for her first 2 years as the info taught was foundational & needed to b memorized. Where as yrs 3-5 was clinical which was hands-on application of prior yrs. During that time online references were more valuable. I suggest you not buy an iPad just for med school if you're in your clinicals otherwise, save money and buy one used as you probably will only use it for 1-2 yrs.
I don’t recommend IN DEPTH notes for clinical years but its super important to learn the base knowledge for pre-clinical years (year1-2 at Barts) so if notes helps you learn 100% feel free to get an Ipad of you want. Ill STILL be making notes it just want be as neat, time-consuming and detailed
