Hello Lizzie , I am new to your channel and subscribed. So many years i am taking wrong way of notes. In just 9 mins video i learned how to actually take notes from you . Million thanks to you for sharing 🙏. Its a Gods blessing i found such a great video on notes today ❤
Hi Lizzie, I love your videos so much and you really have the talent of organizing and sharing! Please keeping going and I really look forward to your new ones!
Hey Molly great question! I take notes on the lectures slides themselves when I'm in the lecture, but then I go through it a second time later at home and make my summary notes then.
Hi Lizzie, can you please explain how you opened the PowerPoint within goodnotes and were able to drag and drop pictures from the PowerPoint into your notes? Can't find a way to do this 😩
I've just bought the ipad pro 128gb and im still hesitating if I should return it and buy the ipad air 4 256gb... I'm in med school so i will use it just for note taking, lectures, lots of books and pdfs... Should i stay with the pro 128gb (is enough?) or should I buy the Ipad air 4 256 gb?? The only thing that concerns me is the storage. Is 128gb enough for just medical school stuff or do I need more than that??
I have 128GB of storage in mine and I find that's it's enough for my notes, apps, and books I have in my iPad. Additionally, my notes on the Goodnotes 5 app is store on my iCloud (so saves room on my iPad) and I can view my notes on my MacBook and phone, as the Goodnotes 5 app is also available for MacBooks and iPhone.
For the use you described 128gb are more than enough. Consider also that you can connect an external storage to the iPad (a pen drive for example) but most importantly you can use cloud storages like icloud, google drive, Dropbox etc.
Good question! I find it pretty comfortable to write on the iPad without any screen protectors but l have also used it with a Paperlike screen protector :)
@@Navjotkaur-oh2fg Because the Paperlike screen protector provides more friction it can wear out the pencil tip a little bit more quickly- I didn't notice a difference until after a year of using though. But it will depend how hard you press down when writing and how often you write.
03:00 why not to use keyboard, in case you want to transform to editable in any word processing software? another question... is there any way to transform from handwriting to typing?
I wonder does every doctor (lecturer) uses the same template fkr their lecture slide. I mean is there any international conference for this bcs bruh...... my lecturers also used that blue boring template 😂
Danii Nolte great question! I personally got the 12.9” size because I use my iPad Pro for everything, even as a computer now that I have the keyboard for it. I also use the split screen functionality a lot so the 12.9” size allows me to maintain good visibility of both screens. However, if you’re looking for an iPad that’s mostly for on-the-go and to fit into small backpacks etc. then the 11” may be better for you. I do not find either size heavy, but the 11” fits more easily and is easier to hold if you’re using the iPad as a notebook while standing for example. Hope that helps!
What pen size do you use and how do you accommodate the paper so your letters don’t look either too small or to big? That’s my biggest problem when using the iPad hence why I don’t use is as much as I should to take notes
Hey Sofi, I use the standard apple ipencil 2 (8mm) with my ipad! It can definitely be tough to write in the right size sometimes, but switching to a small pen setting on the Goodnotes app and using the zoom function when writing helps so much in writing neatly and in the right size.

Thank you 😊
I have 2 questions; How do you get your power point into woodnotes? and can I print my notes from good notes? Your videos are so helpful
Your handwriting is so neat! What pen settings do you use for your main body text?
Hi Jillian! I use the ball point pen in the 0.25mm size and write out my notes using the zoom function (top left on the toolbar) :)
Do you write any notes when actually sat in the lecture? Or do you just listen and then go through it a 2nd time to write notes when you’re home?

@@LizzieMed thanks! I’ve applied to start med school in 2021 so getting as many tips as possible aha!
when you said the first step is the priciest step I thought you meant buying the ipad (not goodnotes) lol. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing :)
Haha very true! 😂
Amazing I love your video
This method is amazing
Great video! Thank you!
Cool video I use notability for my lecture taking and then Goodnotes to also take separate notes for studying to :)
Both are great apps for school!

Hi! How do you choose what is most important?
Amazing content! I'm going spread the word about your channel to my fellow pre-meds at my university!
Hello, may i ask what are your pen choices and sizes, please?
❤❤ hi, great channel you have here! striving my best to create good revision videos for medical students as well 😄

128 is surely enough! Plus you don’t always have to keep everything in it, you can upload old books and notebooks to a cloud or a hard drive.

I'm not able to find new window option
Is it comfortable to write on glass or you use any screen protector for your iPad?

@@LizzieMed but I have heard that screen protectors wear off the Apple Pencil tip ? Is that true ?

I love this, good luck
Can I please have the parkinsons disease file? I am very interested in it, i have finals soon 😂
How were you able to have a continuous flow in your separate pages? I have to “flip” the page on my goodnotes which gets tiring about a while.
Same problem here! Did you find a solution?
Not sure if you guys ever got the answer, but if you go into goodnotes>three dots on top right>scrolling direction>vertical
Hi can you plz! make video on how to you study for exams, your study methods. This video was great!
Absolutely! Check out my Top 10 Resources for medical students video :)
Do u offer tutoring?
where the hell was this video 1 year ago ,, dude my life would be soo f__king easy mannnnnnnnnnnn
03:00 why not to use keyboard, in case you want to transform to editable in any word processing software?
another question... is there any way to transform from handwriting to typing?
Yes you just select the handwriting with the lasso tool, click on it and select convert
Are the PowerPoints saved on your iPad or is it a computer?

Hi there I need some help how is the 12.9 when taking notes is it too big ? Heavy ? When carrying to class? Would u choose the 11 inch

Do you do your notes before the lecture or after
I do my notes after lecture so that I already have a sense of what were the key topics/concepts I need to focus on for my notes :)
what pen size do you use for ur notes?
I don’t know if I missed what you said but what notes do you take during the class?
Great Q! I download my lecture slides for the class and annotate/write over those slides directly. After class, I then make my own condensed notes :)

How much storage do you have in your IPad ?
I have 128GB and I find that's sufficient for my notes/books on my ipad

Notes are beautiful, mine look horrible.
It is waste of time taking so many linear notes. Better to take smart notes instead - short and simple .
My professor has 100 plus slides...bruh
