They better have the scene from the book/poem where his dog Argos is the only one that recognizes him... and then dies. (Also this is a great reminder why Ralph Fiennes used to be a heartthrob back in the day!)
His nanny recognises him by the scar on his inner thing from when he was attacked as a youth by a boar while on a hunt on the slopes of mount Parnassus
ah, we finally got that feature length film adaptation of the TSG Entertainment logo, starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche no less film company logo adaptations ... hmm, gotta be my favorite cinematic universe
A literal classic depiction of one of the most classic narrative plots in all of media history. The Hero's Journey. And what better way to exemplify it with a journey, the Return, the gaddamn ODYSSEY!!!
You know what the ancients Greeks said while being crammed inside of the wooden horse? "Well, it's either love this, or Hades." The joke also doubles as a Ralph Fiennes reference
So they made last part of epic Odyssey to look like Greek Drama, the whole tone of movie is set perfectly like Greek play. And great reunion of English Patient.
@@Laughter12370 that's just a language tradition stemming from how Shakespeare dominated the global image of theatre - yes it is anachronistic and doesn't make sense, but there's a reason for it. By your logic if everything is permitted, we should have a Greek story except nobody is a person - they're all giraffes in spaceships.
@gforce9596 curious how you are okay with accents but you draw the line at skin color of a semi fictional story you would be okay with assassin's creed but suddenly a real life black dude gets a bigger part and now it's being historically inaccurate
@@Laughter12370 He was making a point explaining why the Greeks in this film have British accents. Honestly, that's quite alright in my personal opinion. Used to have an issue with this, though there's other things to worry about. You want a proper interpretation? Read the book or watch a film created in Greece by Greeks about Homer's Iliad & Odyssey.

Nobody cares that he was on that island, everyone famous was at some point in time or another. Fiennes and his acting is a gift to this world. It honestly would be difficult for him to make people hate him even though he mostly plays a villain.
A story about a greek legend which looks to be actually filmed in Greece for once? Finally^^
But they are speaking in English
@Weeefh13 well, would you want the main cast consisting of mostly non greeks speak in bad greek?^^
@@Weeefh13 well technically they’d have to speak a dead form of Greek if we want to be that pissy about it
@@qliphalpuzzle5453 "If we want to be THAT pissy about it!!" has been added to my list of responses to dumb comments. Thank you!
Yeah with some greeks that look like Bantú people

it ill befits an idle youtube commenter ...
Used to be??? Back in the day??? 🥵
Hear, hear!! 💯
STILL a heartthrob
Ralph Fiennes is ripped

👏👏
looks more like trt entertainment
Everyone is gangsta until odysseus says avada kedavra
An entire movie shown in a trailer, well done.
Bro doesn't want Homer's Odyssey to be spoiled. 😂
U dont read in scool ? Well done :D
You’ve had 2700 years to read the book.
have you ever read the myth?
Just watched the whole movie😂
Wait until the book comes out
@@stepanserdyuk4589 Bahahahaha
to be honest is not like people dont know every single detail of the story already,
People will still complain about spoilers for a 3000 Year old poem 😄😄
Wait until they release the prequel!
Looking forward to seeing it. The reunion between Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche after The English Patient.
I've just seen the whole show thanks to this trailer.
Only on RUclips can we find people complaining that a 3000-year-old story was spoiled to them 😆
@@beckerqueiroz Not everyone has heard that 3000-year old story, just like not everyone has heard of Harry Potter even in the modern times.
So...Who else is going to listen to EPIC before watching this?

Ralph looking jacked af . And im here for it !!!!!
So they made last part of epic Odyssey to look like Greek Drama, the whole tone of movie is set perfectly like Greek play. And great reunion of English Patient.
Ralph looks like Hades from the titans movies lol
Yeah he def looks similar to how he looked as Hades in those films.
He is hades in the Titan movie 😅😅.. I kinda miss those films despite them flopping
"And Ithaca is waaitiiiiiing" 🎶
"12 long yearsssssss"
CAPTIAN, LOOK!
“EPIC FANS! RISE UUUUUUUP!”
*megatron voice*
"...I'm juuuuuust a maaaaaan...."
I`m 100% here for it
Who needs a director of photography, amiright?
Not this movie, as it looks great.
why does this look like a ultra low budget part of a documentary?
Because your brain has rotted from social media consumption.
It doesn’t
@@buttmunchstudios6293it does
You are so right😂!
@ you don’t think so? Maybe you should see an eye doctor 🤦🏻
As we know there were black greeks, don't we?
But greeks did have British accents didn't they?

Just in time for the final EPIC saga to drop! 🌊
"you sack of wine"
This looks like those 1950s Panavision AI trailers
Hope they include the encounter with his dog, that once he recognized him, he just move his tail and died 😢
I'll have the cheeseburger sir...

Nice of them to show the end of the movie in there, or at least the second to last scene anyway...
Awesome !
A history written 8th century B.C. still is told in 2024...
This looks great!
It has long been my wish that we got a Greek mythology cinematic universe. Doubt we'll ever get it, but at least there's stuff like this.
Wh- why are those Sub-Saharan Africans dressed in Greek noble garb in BC Ithaca?
If it's released in any theaters it won't be for very long.
4th or 5th remake?
Exciting!
Cool. Can't wait!
"The Odyssey" meets "John Wick"!
If y’all are gonna adapt the Odyssey, it’s gonna need a bigger budget than this 😅
It's just the final part of the Odyssey.
You obviously haven't read Odyssey.
Heathcliff and Cathy in a Homeric Greek odyssey... yes, all in tyvm!
Is that Grandelf?

Daaamn, my guy is ripped!
Awesome looking film, but them giving everything away in the trailer is so ridiculous.
The origins of TSG Entertainment logo/splash screen.. (the movie) 🤣
This looks dope
WOAH, hell ya!
Upon hearing the opening line.. "oh, different story"
*TRIUMPHANT CHAMPION OF ITHICA!*
After becoming a cardinal, he turned himself into Odysseus
damn we getting the ithaca saga early.
Looks like a straight to Videocassette release
Looks slower than a week in the jail being forced to watch "The Lighthouse" on repeat 🙄
Getting the labrys right wouldn't have been very hard.
Where’s his dog?
This screams "Straight to VHS"-quality
Wow.
Οδυσσέας 💪🏻🇬🇷❤️
Thumbnail made me think this was a movie about Jesus' second coming! Funny because Ralph Fiennes played Jesus in an animated movie years ago..
* Does not hold a candle to the made-for-TV Jim Henson's The Odyssey!
The Greek Patient
Of course they had to include a black one. DEI in ancient Greece **sigh**
you clearly know nothing about ancient greece if you think it was all white
What did they do to Hades from Clash of the Titans!?!
Exposition much?
When does a man become a monster......
Waiting
The Sequel to Troy!
No monsters or magic in this version?
There are none in this part of the book.
This Harry Potter prequel looks intense!!!
Well hell yeah!
Ah yes the payoff to the journey without the actual journey. Surely the boring part should have it's own movie.
Have you read the book? This part is fantastic!
So who is this movie about? "No one"
Hell yeah!
strong return
Why not the return of Hades? After wrath of titans
The Return of the King?
Ain't there a massacre in the end? Odysseus slaughters all the dudes thirsting for his wife?
Looks like half the movie is going to be about just the wife
Ralph unusually jacked
Lots of Africans in Ancient Greece?
once the king of the gods, now a mortal
He was Hades now Theseus
The production values of "Hercules: the Legendary Journeys" but without the fun.
About as exciting as conclave.
That's not a bad thing 👍
Sold.
Where's the cyclop?
The encounter with Polyphemus is much earlier in the story.
It's just adaptation of last part of Odyssey. If you read it you would know it.
Looks older than the 1968 miniseries with Bekim Fehmiu and Irene Papas.
Ok so Ralph decided to not eat carbs.
RIPPED FIENNES!
Armand Assante is the only real king of Ithaca.
That clickbaity title and thumbnail though...
How is it clickbate?
@Creative_At14 Jesus
(Btw Passion sequel is planned, so...)
Why didn’t they ask Zach Snyder to direct this?
Because they didn't want a bad movie with great visuals then there's the budget then there's the fact that only Netflix is hiring him after bvs
He would for sure made a better movie
Where is the story Greek John w😢 wick.
Literally No one knows eaxct History
because its just the depiction and someone else's His-story
So THATS what happened to Voldemort.
