It's lovely to see the openness in Ralph Fiennes in the press for this film. Whatever place he and Binoche have gotten to in their lives, it's perfect for this film. One of my top 3 "books" of all time. So looking forward to seeing this film on the big screen!
Both are very gifted actors. Often debated, but I have always loved rewatching (over and over) the Binoche/Fienes version of Wuthering Heights.H The cinema the cinematography and supporting role casting was phenomenal but it was the chemistry between the two that won me over!
Lord... Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche talking about acting is absolutely amazing. What two legendary talents. Ralph remains one of my favorite actors and directors of all time.
Fiennes is epic in this film. His physique, his emotion, his performance! They make you truly believe that this is what Odysseus must have looked and acted on his return to Ithaca and yet it is Binoche that makes you say "wow" with the her final words in the film.
I wish this was given more marketing it was really so good, the acting, the dialogue without dialogue, the potrayal of the period as it would have looked. Solid solid performance and movie.
It's much more than a coincidence of having them both creating the art of acting in such a way years later once again and raising the bar for our expectation👏🏽👌🏽
Because most regular viewers will probably associate him with thst very commercial average movie, not his best performances. It's to establish a conection with the audience. Same reason they brought up Voldemort.
Wuthering Heights - The English Patient - The United States Blues - Maid in Manhattan - Schindler's List - Parent Trap 2 - Here Comes the Sun - December 22, 2024.
Juliette Binoche has been in so many amazing movies but she blows me away in “Bleu” every time. Ralph Fiennes’ Heathcliff is to me the definitive film Heathcliff.
The end of the Odyssey is the one 'realistic' part of the tale: no monsters, whirlpools, witches or cyclops. These two, Fiennes and Binoche, lend it an elemental grandeur. The setting is Corfu (as a stand-in for Ithaca,) and the primitive fortress, the dirt and poverty - even of a royal house fallen on hard times - keeps everything very lean. The script and acting are left to carry the day. The best treatment of these iconic tales. It shows what can be done with a low budget, as opposed to the insipid 'Troy' with Brad Pitt.
Hope they include the total eclipse when he "takes care" of the suitors. The astronomical references in the text with planets, constellations and that eclipse matches one date for the region around Ithaca, 16 April 1178 BC. Maybe it is more than a myth...
The difference between serious French acting (not speaking about the average French movie) and US acting, is that you do not need to speak to transmit a message or an emotion. Everything goes through facial expressions. I am not saying the Americans actors do not do it, but they tend to speak a lot, too much sometimes, whereas good French actors rely a lot on facial expressions.
I'm grateful for listening to both of them, magnificent actors, but this guy interviewing them is such an idiot, why was he pronouncing almost Julia ? Instead of Juliette?
What an amazing, wonderful and great actors!!!. The so expressive Juliett and Ralph are so powerful, beautiful and a really true actors, two of my favorites withouh any doubt. When I watched "Wuthering Heights" in 1992, I was mesmerized for the talent of both. ❤🤍💙💋💋💋
Americans don’t know who Homer was and what is Odyssey. They think Odyssey is a car. And those anchors just proved it. Binoche mentioned Homer but they didn’t pick up on it, they preferred to talk about Fiennes diet.
Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche together in a movie, again. How exciting!
For me, they each embody some of the most classy aspects of their respective home countries and cultures.
Yes! Very well put.
These two the best… Fiennes should be acknowledged for The Dig. Brilliant

They are my favorite actors, it is a great pleasure that they work together again!..
They are what we call artists, just the way they talk about acting , it moves you, by far the best artists in the acting world!
Perfect roles for them two. A genuine friendship comes across in this interview I bet they are not only incredible actors but great people too.
Both are very gifted actors.
Often debated, but I have always loved rewatching (over and over) the Binoche/Fienes version of Wuthering Heights.H

True. I love that movie so much❤❤
The Odyssey with these two should be great!
My favorite artists, Ralph Fiennes, and Juliette Binoche! I will watch them again soon. Ralph is due for Best Actor in Conclave.
Long overdue.
She to me is the epitome of a brilliant actress with endless variations of the characters she can not just play, but own, she owns her roles
The aura around her just incredible, the true artist.
Love them both, it is gonna be good!

Incredible artists, true acting souls, listening to them gives me goosebumps.

This was a wonderful interview with intelligent questions about their acting. Far above the average superficial interviews. Thank you, CBS Mornings.

I loved The English Patient.
It's much more than a coincidence of having them both creating the art of acting in such a way years later once again and raising the bar for our expectation👏🏽👌🏽
The energy, they align, the best artists out there!
Their performances in this movie were incredible ! A real acting class. I hope they get tons of awards for this.
They are THE CLASS in the acting world.
These two are probably the best actors alive at the moment.
They ARE by far the best, real, true actors out there.
Two Great Beautiful Actor 🎉
I just love Ralph..such an intense actor
I loved Juliette in 'Chocolat'. Both so convincing.
can't wait to see the Odyssey with these two great actors! Thanks
Love them both! The Wuthering heights with them is the best version ever.
Two brilliant actors ! i can´t wait to see the movie ! I love Juliette Binoche !
Also outstanding English from French native speaker Juliette.
WTF With this anchor bringing up "maid in Manhattan" when interviewing these two phenomenal actors!?!
It's just a way to describe Ralph's great range as an actor. Even if I felt the writing let him down in MIM.
Because most regular viewers will probably associate him with thst very commercial average movie, not his best performances. It's to establish a conection with the audience. Same reason they brought up Voldemort.
What i love about Juliette is also that she still lookes like herself, not too much cosmetic procedures as the others at her age take
Головокружительный РЭЙФ ФАНС И НЕОТРАЗИМАЯ Ж. БИНОШ❤❤❤❤
Wuthering Heights - The English Patient - The United States Blues - Maid in Manhattan - Schindler's List - Parent Trap 2 - Here Comes the Sun - December 22, 2024.
Fiennes in Schindler's list and Binoche in Three colours blue. Marvellous!
Did he say, "Withering Heights?" Lol
Juliette Binoche has been in so many amazing movies but she blows me away in “Bleu” every time.
Ralph Fiennes’ Heathcliff is to me the definitive film Heathcliff.
I agree he's the best ever, I did enjoy Tom Hardys version too but Ralph has un unmatched intensity in the role.
@ 100%. It was this performance that caught Steven Spielberg’s attention when casting for “Schindler’s List.”
@jendesimone9053 I didn't know that :) that's a great fact
It gets slammed but their Wuthering Heights is my favourite adaptation, he's the best Heathcliff ever. I fell in love with Juliette in the film too.
excited O has made it to the big screen!!🎉🎉🎉
amazing performances
Brilliant work.
What excites u most in your acting an Indian thought❤🎉
Why conduct an interview when the anchors love their own voices and opinions so much?
Je suis amoureux de Juliette Binoche depuis que je l'ai vue dans Mauvais sang quand j'avais 15 ans...
Do see the film - the best of 2024 in my book.

Such talented and inspiring actors. The interviewers are beyond cringeworthy.

Such poor journalism

Not'withering'...not ' weathering'.....???
This woman brings up Maid in Manhattan? Yikes.. Why not The English Patient
the girl that said "9/11 was a conspirancy" the woke Binoche is back??
These two are the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore of literature.

Wuthering
The questions are truly idiotic.
What would you have expected ?
Both haven't Aged Much.
