Love the cost comparisons at the end. I recently flew to Medellín and planned to stay in Rionegro. The yellow taxi from the airport to Rionegro was COP$28,000 (about USD$5.50). I caught a local bus for COP$2,800 (about USD sixty cents). It was early evening so airport employees had just gotten off work. The local bus was full of happy airport security employees. Colombians are great people!
It's a big city. Lodging ranges from $ 11 a night and up. Depends on what you want and location. I recommend searching airbnb and booking. Com sites for the best deal.
