My list of what I liked about my month long road trip across Turkey, and what I did not enjoy. True that it's a beautiful country but not everything is instagram perfect. Know before you go. From Istanbul to Olympus and back. I drove the west coast and lived in the neighborhoods not the hotels. Used the markets not McDonalds, and stoped to enjoy the things that the tours skip.

Can someone in the local area recommend a reputable agent to find long-term rentals?
You said Alto and .....? The valley part.

Hello Bryan and Michele it’s Casey if you remember me.Era and Casey.I’m very happy that you like Albania especially Vlora.😃I’m very happy that Albania is such a likely place for tourists❤️😊
Yes we remember you, good to hear from you. We will return to Vlora in October and would love to spend some time with you. When we say how wonderful the people of Albania are you are exactly what we mean. Tell your mother and father hello for us. See you soon.
@@MeandShell We are looking forward to meet you too and😊we really appreciate your words. Thank you. We will stay in touch.😇😊
T 2:13 his is where two young innocent dutch girls were found in pieces_rather in parts.
That happens everyday in the USA and Europe too, so Whatever!
I’d love to hear more specifics like what you did in specific areas of Turkey and specific cities/towns. I’s love to know what you ate, where you shopped, and what activities you did. You could also use an outro. Loved seeing the visuals-especially of people not just the architecture or things.
We spent a month long road trip last year that was mostly centered on history and food. Our travels took us from Istanbul to Antalya along the western coast of Turkey. Troy was a must see for Michele along with Ephesus. We explored numerous other sites along the way. Pamukkale is a do not miss for everyone. For me I loved Kos and Marmaris along the coast as they are breathtaking. Olympus near Antalya is one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to over 60 countries around the world. For food…everything I tried was great but I could eat Iskender kabap everyday for the rest of my life and not get tired of it. Shopping..every town has a bazaar but watch out for the rug shops. Hope that helps. We are returning to Turkey next month for another 30 days, that’s how much we like it.
Good to see you guys. Have fun!
Great information and video. Curious if there are any bays or areas where you can snorkel or swim that has clear water rather than the murky surf break along most of Panama Beaches?
The beaches keep getting better. The last one is perfect.
Thank you!
The negative comments expressed in this video makes it less appealing and boring ! Blessings !
It's good to hear from you, that you enjoy your trip, keep enjoying retirement.
Gracias por su cariño hacia mi pais😊
Hello, BRYAN AND MICHELE you are welcome here in Guatemala in the cradle of the Mayan Empire, I hope you enjoy your stay, I was looking for some information when I found your video and I liked 👌💪 where you are exploring your adventures, well, what else can I tell you, you have gained one more subscriber and I give you a super Like to continue with more content, I'm starting my channel 🚀🚀
cheap travelers 🤣
Instead of trying to be funny you need to travel more. They are right when they say that the country is expensive. Even countries in Europe are cheaper than GT in some cases.
Such as?
Albania, Turkey, Czech Republic Romania to start are all less expensive
@@MeandShell Thank you for your reply, just wanted to know.
So interesting .... good presentation. Thanks and keep enjoying your travels.
Doesn’t seem pretty, no golf course, no pickleball, It seems boring. I’d rather be here in Bucaramanga haciendo amor con mis novias.
This place is such amazing ❤I will like to visit it someday.
ALL ONE NEEDS TO KNOW ITS GORGEOUS YEAR AROUND / PANAMA IS THE NEW COSTA RICA /DESPITE THE PROBLEMS IT IS THE BEST PLACE TO RETIRE
Great video. Thank you. Any wild animals in the Boquete forests that would be of any concern during a hike? I do a lot of hiking in the hills of western New Jersey. Up here, lots of black bears to worry about.
There are medium size felines roaming around, called tigrillos
@@al1665 An oversized cat. No problema. Thanks.
Does anyone know if there is an active tennis community in Boquete?
Amazing! omg i love your voices you sounds like reporter ;)
Really good to see you all together again!
It was a little of fun
Thank you for this video 😊
Thank you for watching and please follow along on our travels
Even though tourist are welcome to visit or retired in Nicaragua (because that means more Dollars for the government) don't you guys are worried about the fate of the country in the hands of a regimen that constantly is talking bad about your very own country? I mean, if I want it to retire to live the rest of my life peacefully, I would think twice choosing Nicaragua, it is affordable, nice and beautiful but very problematic. My uncle had to move back to USA (even when he was born in Nicaragua and don't like talk politics), because some of his neighbors started to harassed him, they thought that maybe he was a gringo spy just because he looks like an american man (white with green eyes)... incredible!
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately not all experiences are good but we enjoyed our time there and would not hesitate to return.
@@MeandShell ... Just keep in mind, the country problem is boiling like a volcano and that the first people who will have to fly out of the country are the foreigners, leaving behind their assets just like what happened back in 80's under the same government. Good luck to both of you.
Love the way you summed it up at the end.. great job
Thanks Jeff, appreciate it
These kinds of expat lives are great for people who want a detached life, but aren't useful for older people who want easy access to infrastructure they are used to.
Thanks for watching. Luckily there are options for everyone. We enjoyed our time here and wanted to share our experiences. Hope you keep watching
Beautiful video.
Thank you and please keep watching
Thank you for this video. We feel the beaches in the Cucuy area are the most beautiful in Panama and love it here. It is a drier climate than the Las Lajas area. The ocean is warm, and surfing, swimming and stand up paddle boarding are all possible here. Puerto needs to be on more people's radar. That being said, our oceanfront home is for sale, and we'd be glad to show people around the area if they are in our neck of the woods.
Thank you. We think Panama has so much to offer
Why are you selling by the way? We are looking in the area for a house but slightly concerned about the heat, we currently live in Volcan
@@damianwadsworth7603 we have a son in Boulder, and other family in the states. We are moving to Oaxaca to be that much closer. Also the arts, food and culture there. Only you can answer the heat question. Being right on the ocean we are cooler than a house even one or two lots from the water. The raised construction also helps and the insulating attributes of Quadlock. So air conditioning actually keeps the house cool rather than dissipating. But it is warmer and much sunnier than volcan for sure.
@@OceanfrontPuertoArmuelles Do you have a link to the house? We may be interested if you are still selling😊
@@damianwadsworth7603 sure thing. Take a look at the website and let us know if you have questions or want to set up a viewing. Here is the link: web.panamaramas.com/14-surfside-panama.
Yes, Sugar & Spice is definitely the best place for breakfast. And lunch!
Thanks for watching. I sure miss the food there.
Love the food reviews! Made me hungry! Beautiful!
thank you. we will try to do more food related stuff in the future
Love the cost comparisons at the end. I recently flew to Medellín and planned to stay in Rionegro. The yellow taxi from the airport to Rionegro was COP$28,000 (about USD$5.50). I caught a local bus for COP$2,800 (about USD sixty cents). It was early evening so airport employees had just gotten off work. The local bus was full of happy airport security employees. Colombians are great people!
thank you for watching

Thank you! Very informative!😊
Glad it was helpful! And thanks for subscribing
Let me guess - if we have to ask - ' how much it costs ' - then - ' we can't afford it ' ? -- No mention of prices I suspect for a reason ?
Sorry…I don’t follow. I’ll answer any questions I can.
@@MeandShell You left us all wondering the costs of being there doing what you were doing ? - - - Most or many will talk about the prices and the quality/value of said purchases and experiences of that particular destination of travel ???
Prices vary and fluctuate. Putting home prices here would be useless. There are sources online which will help. Other prices, like food, vary as much as they do any other place. (The best tacos I had last week were $2 each.) I've lived here for 17 years.

There is a seafood market in town.
