HI Dave great video, quick question regarding the v6 layshaft did you machine the lavgear to fit the front bearing or just used the original needle bearing in the lavgear to fit the layshaft?
Hi could you upload at real time, or advise how to view in real time. There is so many folk around the country building gearbox but don't know the Tracsport variant! and invariably with make mistakes. I realise not not everyone watching will be capable irrespective, but Please give some of us a chance
Hello have you got a parts list? , as I've got a type 9 from a 2.8 Capri mated to a rover k series 1.8 engine I'm planning to turbo the car and run it around 280 hp, however, I dont think the gearbox will last unless its rebuilt with stronger internals.
No press necessary in assembly or disassembly of the type 9? I’m having a little trouble selecting 2nd in high rpm, considering rebuilding it myself after som research. Any links to a manual on assembling type 9? Great video btw this will be helpful.
I did use a press but didn’t film it as it wasn’t really convenient at the time. I don’t have any links to any rebuild documentation but I’m sure there must be some online somewhere.
It would be usefull if possible to upload the original assembly video at normal speed.
