We don’t have a large Chinese population, stop lying. We have Chinese but they ain’t more than 3% of the country’s population
They do however helped to influence the culture and contribute to the economy. The Jamaican ones that is.

Bro Jamaicans don’t lie on Food, quick fun fact. Caribbean warm water lobster tastes different vs Cold America cold water lobster.
Warm water lobster is not as sweet and have more of a shrimp type texture.
Cold water lobster is more sweet and have a softer texture.

Hello young man 👊🏾 FYI, it’s not a green banana, it’s Plantain. My friend is Jamaican, and I have never had any good plantain. She just cooked it for me in a little olive oil thinly sliced. The green Plantain when cooked for a few minutes is savory, and the yellow is sweet like banana foster… It was really really good. It’s never cooked in fish oil at all.

I’ve been to Negril several times over the years… and always stopped by Sonia’s Patties off the beach. Best Lobster Patties ever! I wonder if it’s still there. You haven’t lived until you tried a Sonia”s Lobster Pattie fresh out of the ocean then cooked on an outside grill.

I can’t believe they put 1 lonely green banana on the plate. Where’s the yellow yam and dumplings. I don’t understand why the green banana taste like fish because it’s only boiled in water.
They said they boiled the salt fish in the same water as the hard food. That way it'll salt water for the food & desalt the fish. Side effect, a slight fish taste to food.
@@poexv2535 never heard anybody do it like that. Food ( banana yellow yam dumplings) is always in a separate pot. You boil the salt fish at least 2-3 times to get rid of salt so why would you let the food absorb that salt🤷🏽♀️
@@MarieA1 yes it's normally done separately but I guess it's a short cut two in one job & save on salt.
I suppose if doing ackee n saltfish with hard food it won't matter but I get your point. It's a choice, people chose what's best for them.

Sonia’s still exists? The food used to be good back in the day but the service IS poor! Bought chicken a few years ago and it tasted touched, the vegetables were wrapped in foil which made it soggy. Never went back.
The prices were right .aNo way they could jack the price on you in an establishment.
