They think switching their name back to Kentucky Fried Chicken recently with the same lower quality food is doing something. 🤦🏾♂️ That OG Kentucky Fried Chicken was crispy, well seasoned skin. Now the skin is soggy and not as well seasoned. Wendy’s used to be straight fire before the late 80s too. 3:00 I miss eating KFC coleslaw. I refused to pay extra for something that should not be extra. I know there was a cabbage crisis back in late 2021, but it's over now and the corporate heads over here in Hawaii want to keep coleslaw extra in cost if you want it as a side order. Even with a meal you have to pay that extra cost, it's unavoidable!! It's $1 extra for the small and $3 extra for the large. The regular price for both small and large is $2.99 and $5.99. So why would I want to pay basically $4 for a small or $9 for a large? That's just not right!! So, I absolutely refused to purchase coleslaw from KFC.

the real question is: who be eating KFC fried chicken stateside these days? KFC lost its luster in the fried chicken game probably about 15-20 years ago stateside just my two cents.
I agree that overall KFC isn't what it used to be decades ago. But nowadays for quality KFC it depends on where you go. Just like all fast food establishments each one is different.
I went on a cruise. We stopped in Ocho Rios and we’re hungry. I saw a KFC and the bell went off. I remember my coworker always hyping up KFC in Jamaica. It definitely wasn’t worth that long azz wait in my opinion, but I got the experience 🤦🏾♂️. I think because I went to a small KFC in Grand Cayman with no line and the chicken tasted about the same as Jamaica at the previous cruise stop, it was kinda of a let down. I’ll have try Trinidad, if I ever get there. This Ocho Rios KFC was straight packed Friday afternoon. Maybe places like Kingston or Montego Bay may be more have even better KFC 🤷🏾♂️. It was just as expensive as the NYC KFC’s I go to. Yet it was packed with locals and school kids. I thought “locals aren’t as broke as US media makes them out to be” to be spending what amounts to $9-10US on lunch. That joint was packed, that’s why it took so long for us to get our food. I ain’t never spend 40 mins in a KFC in the US, to order and get my food.

I've been at that same KFC a couple times while on vacation in Jamaica. I taste no difference in the chicken then in the US. And also they got rid of potato wedges at all KFC's about 3 years ago. Chef😂
As a Jamaican subscriber I’m disappointed, kfc in Jamaica and world are pretty similar when it comes to the original chicken recipe, what makes Jamaica kfc stands apart is our bbq and spicy chicken and our spicy zinger sandwich….none of which was tried in this video
Yo JL .... What other side dishes do they offer @Jamaica KFC? Any regional specialties? I remember KFC used to have red beans & rice in Southern states, and collard greens, corn bread in some US locations.
I miss the crazy neon green coleslaw lol
From the thumbnail I knew he messed up not getting bbq or spicy 🤦🏾♀️
!!!!!!!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Exactly he got regular Chiccen 😂
I was looking for this comment. He flew allll the way there and didn’t even order the right thing. If he wanted regular Popeyes in Jamaica is insanely good.
What part of Jamaica yall in?!💪🏾🙏🏾🇯🇲💯
Spanish town. It was mentioned in the video
My mother is from Spanish town! It was nice to see a bit of it in the video. 😊
KFC in Jamaica is a big deal. Especially on a Friday night. Parking lot fully packed. Music blasting. It's a vibe . I see JL international now. But also go to one of the street vendors while you are there
i BEEN TELLING AMERICANS FOR YEEEARS OUR KFC in the BAHAMAS is THE BEST IN THE WORLD!! i dont even eat KFC here in america!...GO TO THE BAHAMAS BRO!! TRUST I!
kfc tastes good in Trinidad as well..
When you coming to Boston my guy?
They dont sell potatoe wedges in philly anymore
Glad to see u in my home town big up!!
Don’t know what your boy was talking about?? KFC taste different in the islands and in Miami it’s more seasoned.
If you are trying KFC, you should try all 3 chicken spicy, original, and barbecue
From Venezuela to India, all the YT vid creators say that pretty much all the KFC's generally taste the same.
I think sugar in the slaw in usa. good. lol.
It’s good & fresh. I had it in savanna La Mar Jamaica.
Real talk I’m American and the KFC in Ghana SLAMIN frfr. And all of it got spice on it, they killin us
I think all these franchises try to adapt to the cuisine of the locals. I saw a video on McDonald’s in India from Davidsbeenhere and they actually had Indian wraps and things that we don’t have here. It was quite interesting. Thanks for sharing.🙏🏽
Yes KFC McDonald's in Africa, add local mixes to the standards
@@mrb2643 I’m not supposed !
I think it all depends on food regulations. Everywhere else fast food chain look cleaner/healthier whereas America has convince thats it.
Had KFC once when I was in Germany US Army and it was great tasting but this was many years ago.
Wow I haven’t had a zinger since high school I graduated 2002,
Did they order the BBQ version?
One thing about the chicken all across Jamaica is that it is FRESH!!!! I LOVE any chicken I have had in Jamaica and that;s A LOT of chicken. I gag at some of the chicken in the U. S. and it's lack of freshness. Funny I still never tried the KFC there. I will next time.
My first time eating KFC in the Us i vomit smh
First thing I noticed it's not greasy
Jamaican background here, I will always be biased and say that KFC in Jamaica is the BESTES!!!
Also Salute and bless to your homie solid genuine reviews from both of yall
KFC in NY is better period! Way better than Colorado for sure!! I know because I miss it living in Colorado. When I go visit NY I make a point to go eat at 🍗 KFC
Gotta get the BBQ chicken, which we don’t have in the U.S.
Bra, your boy just so happy to be on line I don't think he really cares about the food just long as he can see his self on the phone..lmfao
The first time i tried KFC in Jamaica was the summer of 1996. I was 10. I've been hooked ever since. But i must admit it was waaaaay better back then. They had a honey bbq that was so damn good. States had it to, but it was better in Jamaica. Thanks for the review
Another banger 💯 I decided to drop my first food review video Thursday even though it sucks lol. I have been inspired by many other RUclipsrs including yourself. I aspire to be on y'all's level one day. I'll never forget you coming to my state (Delaware) and trying Mike's . I knew you had tried Helen's and Akhibachi's but I had already tried them before...you put me on to Mike's cheesesteaks.
Keep going. It will get better
I am thinking about visiting Wilmington. Any suggestions for restaurants?
Blessings ❤ I can tell by this comment you're going to make it in the RUclips world. You have to keep uploading no matter if it sucks to you somebody else might love it. Keep going never give up and I promise you'll see the progress also remember it doesn't happen over night it takes time and dedication. I pray you go as far as your heart desires be blessed ❤
@@ebonidennis6483 thank you so much 🙏 peace and blessings always
@@whyulook424 hope I'm not too late but definitely check that place out (mikes famous steaks in Newark), check out riviera pizza in bear, lunas Italian in middletown, over the border tacos in wilmington,
KFC in Jamaica hits different because the Caribbean is not afraid of seasoning.
I live in California, and we haven't had wedges in years.
Brp next time going Jamaica let me know. I'll show you all the spots bruv
I notice the KFC’s I’ve been to here in New York, nobody is dining inside anymore. Pick strictly pick up and go or do drive thru. They fell off big time
New Zealand KFC, hands down #1🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!! Your friend was bugging!!! Definitely different lol
