    Beautiful results Stella!
Aka Aislinn has a lot of videos of this kind of treatment. (I think it’s her favorite color removal method.) She doesn’t go deep into the science of it like Stella did in this video, but for anyone interested she has done this treatment in so many different ways and different colors, it’s worth a look. It’s always nice to see how different creators implement the same techniques.

Usually there is also vitamin c powder available at drugstores or pharmacies. It makes the whole process much simpler and less messy. I used this method to remove black arctic fox from my light brown hair and it worked wonders!

This even works on black box dyed hair. It will make it have a nice red tone in the light or sunlight and makes it slightly lighter. Not a drastic change but it passes more to dark brown instead of black. Did it 2 years ago and last summer before i color removed it in late September of last year and bleached it.

This method is also amazing for situations when your toner didn't turn out the way you wanted to. I once bought my regular toner but it all of a sudden turned out way darker AND a weird violet shade instead of beige blonde. I don't know what happened, but this mixture saved the day for me. It took out most of the pigment and gave me a chance to apply a fresh mixture and I didn't need to bleach my hair in order to get the desired color. But be careful, if your mixture is too acidic it might lead to chemical burns. I probably didn't add enough shampoo and my neck got a few slight burns in several places (not my scalp though). I also use this vitamin c mixture every time I wanna switch from a darker color to a lighter color before I use any bleach. That's the main reason I always got vitamin c powder at home. But keep in mind: Yes it's not as harmful as the bleach based color removers and not as stinky as these sulfur based color removers but also not as powerful.

I do this too. One time I didn't have vitamin C so I mixed lemon juice and dawn dish soap and used that. Kept a shower cap on for 1 hour this took permanent black box dye down to a dark brown with slight copper tones "Tip" when you mix Vitamin C powder with shampoo add shampoo and mix until it's like a thick heavy cream it's easier to work with I also wear a shower cap to prevent drying. Your hair looks fabulous

Guys, if you want to use ZERO chemicals, you can also try it with white clay and coconut cream. I use white powdered clay, you mix it all together until you get a creamy consistency. then apply to your dry hair; You have to leave it a few hours though, but it totally works; White clay absorbs color; It worked really well on my red box dye; Totally recommend. Just make sure you condition your hair a ton after that.
Let me know if somebody tries it out!

    • @Lisa-nm8ij

Yeah I also wonder what the ascorbic acid is for (besides making the paste rougher?).
If it's not for a redox reaction, than couldn't you use any other weak acid, or better only shampoo/soap and afterwards an acid rinse to neutralise?
      As an antioxidant
(reduces others, likes to be oxidized itself aka grabs the bad reactive radicals away xD) what does it do for the hair?

What I'd like to know is what's the best way to repair damaged hair from anesthesia. I've had a few surgeries and after being put under, my hair is noticeably dry and damaged. I've tried Olaplex No3 and it helps a little but my hair is slightly thick and wavy/curly and it just feels like straw sometimes. I'm at a stand-still as to what to use or what I can do to help control the damage. I do dye my hair with Matrix SoColor (a mix of 3Vr and 504 RB with Matrix 20 developer...my hair goes rusty nail in heartbeat) and it helps but I'm also post menopausal so I'm not sure how much that plays into this damage. I'd love to hear what products you have worked with to do some serious damage control.

That can dry out hair only shampoo the top of your hair and let it rinse through the ends and mids that should help in the long run also don't condition the top of your hair because it makes your hair greasy. Your scalp should have enough sebum to keep the top moisturized enough! I hope that help a little
