I wrote to ALF (Paul Fusco) and Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton). About a month after the letters were sent we all began getting response letters and in my ALF response i received an autographed picture, stickers a few ALF comic books and a thank you letter.
Just read the news Benji Gregory has passed away. Such sad news knowing he suffered from depression and insomnia. I wished him better being part of my favourite show in my childhood and bringing joy to a lot of families back then. Thank you Benji Gregory, rip.
We all know that ALF was done both through human in costume and an animatronic puppet. It is often very easy to tell which is which by several factors. Number one, animatronic puppet didn't have any legs as it was put on hidraulics with just its chest and head seen on screen. So, every time ALF's body is seen in its entirety, it is actually a human, Hungarian actor Michu Meszaros in ALF costume. Besides that, the heads of puppet and costume are very noticably different. For example, puppet's head is noticably alot bigger than that of the costume. Not to mention that the shade of brown fure on ALF changes very often since puppet and costume did not have same color. And other such small details.
Also there were at least two known ALF puppets that were used, which were not exactly identical and it was often very easy to tell them apart even in the same scene.

@@StarCrossedLines The DVDs are edited in parts for some unknown reason. I think the overseas version doesn't have that problem. Hopefully SF put out a physical collection.

This is the syndicated version. It's missing footage. I ran my old ALF eps through an AI video enhancer to nice results using the uncut eps. Still, thanks for the share
Just jokes, no woke garbage, no pc police, simply funny and that's how I remember the shows I grew up with. I'm glad I had the chance to experience that.
Classic TV 1980s sitcom. I remember watching this series as a young man. Anyone interested in seeing ALF in a cameo watch an episode of Mister Robot when Eliot hallucinates that he is back in the 1980s. The episode is a parody of all sitcoms from the 1980s. Alf is driving a car and runs down someone.
I used to have the VHS of this episode and the one where they all go camping, and it rained all the time…. I adored these episode, but living in England - I don’t remember ever watching any other episode…?! Absolute classic though. Incredible to see again.

Great innocent memories...was in JHS an thought this was the best show ever...miss innocent corny shows of the 80s simpler times
I do hope they get the original broadcast masters onto DVD. I can understand them using the syndicated masters for RUclips and some streaming sites. But I do hope this leads to bigger things.
My family got the DVDs when I was a kid. The pilot episode was the original voice actor. I can't speak to whatever DVDs are being released now or if there are any being released; meaning its all just old stock. See if Ebay has what you're asking for.
@@StarCrossedLines I'm covered for now thanks to the Region 2 French DVDs. But I'm curious to see what SF will do. Either way, thank you.
@@StarCrossedLines The DVDs are edited in parts for some unknown reason. I think the overseas version doesn't have that problem. Hopefully SF put out a physical collection.
Especially the season 1 episode where Skip & Rhonda was going to pick up Alf. The original NBC broadcast actually showed Skip & Rhonda while the Syndicated version edit them out!
@@primekiller5729 Ok, wow, didn't see that. At least if you're talking about in the ship. There was a bar scene once, I think. Why would they even cut that kind of thing out?
I loved that show when i was a kid even my mother liked it just great momories from that time.
Yes I would love to have Re watch show again yes before and after 80s I’m born In the 80s I would like rewatch this sitcom
*RIP Benji Gregory* 🌹
Way to young to left the world
Thank you for this video, ALF is a good clean comedy, no foul words or violence or sexual references.
12:07 alf looks so cute getting up lmao
those happy days for all of us who are in our middle 40's are gone, for good.
I really dont know why every single time I watch this vids, tears come to my eyes...
:/
This show was big, even here in England at the time. I think what made it so popular was that it was a show the whole family could appreciate. Seems almost unbelievable it's been 35 years. I hope to God they don't reboot this for the woke generation. If they are going to bring it back then just bring the original back on DVD/streaming services
They Have On DVD 📀 😀 😄 😊 😁 ☺ At Walmart And TARGET Stores!
@@jeanbaumgartner4052 Thx I'll check it out. I am from England so I'd have to ship it in I think. I am sure it's not officially on DVD here
Can catch it on Tubi as well.

Very Elegant, Inteligent, Super Friend ALF.
I miss this show so much I'm glad I got to watch the first episode again😁
It’s hilarious that Alf looks like something out of a horror movie.
This takes me back. I miss the 80's.
LOVED Alf. Thank you for uploading this.
ALF the best series ever!!
I agree. Every episode was laugh out loud funny. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Alf
loved alf! someone in my life had the costume, it was epic....so much to miss as the world continues to degrade. love this, thanks!
Loved This Show, The First Time I Saw It. Never Laughed So Hard Before. ALF Can Crack Me Up, In So Many Ways. He's Adorable.
Me too I wish we had more tv shows like this on TV now
I d't know why, but I love this.
It's makes me calm and reminds mr about family that I never had.
Alf is a national treasure
My God watching that intro catapulted me 35 years 😌
Alf, thank you for a wonderful childhood.
One of the shows a person with a dog/wolf mix could relate to, the taste for cats. If we didn’t already name him he would have been called Alf.
The person who created this program was or crazy or a genius this show was really the best
He was obsessed with the Graham's number.
That brings back some memories. Used to love that show.
This is the syndicated version. It's missing footage. I ran my old ALF eps through an AI video enhancer to nice results using the uncut eps. Still, thanks for the share
Back to my childhood. We loved alf in germany
Is a very nice show. We need more tv shows like this
So innocent, inventive and creative - they can't do this anymore nowadays.
Love ALF!!! ❤
Alf Is One Of Favorite Shows 😍 ❤ 💕 💓 ♥ 💖!
The scene at the end with ALF using Willie's ham radio is one of the saddest scenes...
Just jokes, no woke garbage, no pc police, simply funny and that's how I remember the shows I grew up with. I'm glad I had the chance to experience that.
I miss Gordon but I'd hate for anyone to try to remake this series.
RIP Benji Gregory
I forgot the Seinfeld’s lived next door.
6:28 “He’s quick, I’ll give him that.”
I used to have the VHS of this episode and the one where they all go camping, and it rained all the time…. I adored these episode, but living in England - I don’t remember ever watching any other episode…?!
Absolute classic though. Incredible to see again.
