We always a real tree, but I'm from the 60's fake trees didn't catch on for awhile, I loved that smell. My grandmother's tree had ornaments with our names in glitter, I felt famous, my name up in lights. Thank you for memories.

I've always used an artificial tree. They last a long time and plus, they're less messy than real trees. These days they make artificial trees that come in only 3 sections and the branches fold right out and back in.
