For Question #2 My good friend @Łukasz Mielech down here, reminded me that if you're working with Cubase Pro, you can always go on the Automation Panel (F6) then "Settings" then check ON "Reveal Parameter on Write" then Cubase will automatically show your automate moves automatically. And I completely forgot about that one 🤦♂️

I wonder if it is possible to link the automations for two different plugins together, such as pitch modulation & tremolo, on one track so that they both get the same automation profile when only one is adjusted. That would be a time saver.

Hey Chris - about the first question - WHY would you want to phase reverse? While I understood how to do it, I don't get when in the real world you would need to do this?
I never had to this myself to be honest, however, in a situation where you have to mix live drums and the L/R Overheads and Rooms where each recorded on stereo tracks and that are out of phase. In that case, that can be useful...My answer to the question was more about the Cubase feature to process a stereo channel in dual mono more than the phase thing. That will not work, you will end up with phase shifting all over the place. pre-mix your 2 tracks on a stereo track and audio warp this new track instead
When I first upgraded to 10.5 I also updated my elicenser (from within elicenser as it suggested an update was available). Cubase 10.5 occasionally crashed on opening and so I asked Steinberg for advice. Before I received a reply I had noticed that somehow I had upgraded the elicenser to a higher version than was required for Cubase 10.5. I removed the elicenser and reinstalled the previous version that I had already had from the Steinberg site and all has been well since. Hope this helps.
I have a question Chris. I have saved some money (about 1000$ +) and i want to upgrade/change my vocal chain at my place(hardware). Today i have an Steinberg ur242 and Lewitt 540 nothing else. The options i looked at is to buy another mic or a mic pre but then i remember that you did an review of the new steinberg UR with Rupert neve inside. Choose steinberg URs mic pres or an stand alone mic pre? Or mic? so hard to choose :) Thank for the channel Chris, have learn so much for you! :)

@@Galaxisweden if it has rupert neve designed pres, it means they are not actually neve pres. Make sure rupert neve has 'certified' them and then they will be very similar to the real deal. That unit sounds good. Also i researched mics and instead of a u87 i would reccommend the m147. They are in the same price bracket.

Hi Chris or anyone who can answer my question. I can't seem to figure this out.... When working on project and writing automation sometimes I want to keep my eye on the track I am automating. I have all automation hidden but as soon as I make an automation move (Let's say on a group channel, ) the view changes and the automation lane opens for the group channel and I lose sight of track I am looking at... in other words the view changes to bottom of window. How do I keep automation hidden? I have tried hide all automation but as soon as I wrote any automation the lane opens. I am on cubase 9.5. Very frustrated
cubase sucks once it starts adding latency and that is very quick......it can barely handle plugins, not like reaper, as soon as I add IK TR5 ONE....the latency is impossible, it also exports with latency....ridiculous

How many inputs do you need?

Click on F6 to get to the Automation Panel, then SETTINGS and UNCHECK "Reveal Parameter on Write" That will fix it :-)
