  • It remains one of the most shocking crimes in British history. Just a month before his third birthday, James Bulger was abducted and killed by 10-year-old boys Robert Thompson and Jon Venables - making them Britain’s youngest murderers. Now almost exactly thirty years on, James Bulger’s mother Denise Fergus joins us to share her continued fight to keep Venables behind bars, and share the new information which has brought her peace decades on from her son’s death.

      @KanyeBreast4 11 месяцев назад +4

      @corroded67 Exactly. Everyone forgets about his dad. Denise immediately got pregnant after losing James and has remarried and had more kids with no issues. She didn't attend court and doesnt know the details of what happened to James She seems to have coped very well. Where as Ralph self medicated with alcohol for years, spent all his life since as a very angry and bitter man, feels he's had no closure and cannot move on from it. He attended court and knows exactly what happened to his son. We should consider his father more.

    • @Boilingfrogg
      @Boilingfrogg 11 месяцев назад

      @@KanyeBreast4 I'm sure she's had her moments of grief but like you said James dad seems to be constantly out the picture and the focus seems to be more on the mother and even her new husband. It's very rare you see Ralph buldger on TV. The poor guy I can't imagine the constant pain he must feel in his life.

    • @KanyeBreast4
      @KanyeBreast4 11 месяцев назад +3

      @@Boilingfrogg Yep. She seems to enjoy the TV appearances and shows no signs of upset at all when talking about James. I've never seen her get tearful or emotional while talking about James. Never. And I've seen a lot of interviews and documentaries about her. I've seen Ralph do the occasional interview and you can FEEL his anger, he gets upset and I've seen him cry in one documentary I saw him in. He had to walk away from the camera because he can't talk about James without getting upset. His brother who identified James' body has also suffered greatly. Everyone has, even the lads who found James' body have not coped with what they saw and self medicated and one of them is dead now from an overdose I believe. Everyone struggles with the loss other than Denise it seems.

    So Roberty thompson, the leader and mastermind, was allowed to escape with a new anonymous identity, but Venables was not? Is it because he reoffended?

      @@GregorSamsa000 It was definitely classism. I don't think youtube will alow me to link anything but you should look into it.
      Venables by all, reports was very proud for having killed James, he would constantly reveal his identity and get beaten up for it and still does so to this day.
      Look at their backgrounds, Thompson came from a violently unstable home, well known to the police and social workers, a child raised on violence if you will. Venables' parents were divorced but spent equal time with him. Jon was also jealous that his parents spent more time on his disabled siblings than him.
      Venables was very violent at school and while Thompson was cheeky, he was mostly a truant (with some petty crimes like stealing).
      Listen to their voice recordings, Venables goes straight for the waterworks to manipulate while Thompson has flat affect (from being raised in an abusive home) and it takes a little while for him to break down crying. He also comes off as a bit intellectually disabled as he thought that Bulger could be brought back after what they did.
      It was Venables idea to get a child lost, to kidnap James and lead him away, it was he who went back for James when they released him and also he who refused to give up James when an adult wanted to take him.
      Look how they turned out, Venables to this day remains proud of killing James and is an abusive, predatory man who keeps getting arrested. Thompson has been successfully rehabilitated and leads a quiet life with his husband and also suffers from ptsd from the event.

Mi dispiace dirlo, ma anche se avevano solo 10 anni dovevano avere pene più severe, perché quello che hanno fatto a quel bambino nemmeno gli animali. R i p piccolo. Non hai avuto nemmeno giustizia.
