If I saw it, I would've thought the child fell over and the boys were rushing him home to his mother or something. You'd feel prtty guity. Still, does not one of the thirty adults who sighted them have any sense of responsibility?
You shouldn't blame the witnesses. Even Ralph Bulger in his book states that they probably hold a huge amount of guilt for not interfering but they shouldn't at all. There could be a million reasons why the child was bloody and walking with two older boys. Not everybody would assume they were about to murder him or he was in any danger being with them.
it was literally mentioned in this video he was being walked through the streets with the boys whilst crying and having visible blood on his head...... so yes he was bloodied.

John Venables has been sent back to prison TWICE since his release, once for violating the terms of his parole, then again for possessing child abuse pictures on his computer. This, plus his background of abusing other children, he should have been in prison for life.
@SqueakerPlays well I kind of disagree , I agree there was definitely something wrong with them especially jon But both of them were very eager to lie near their parents , and exclaimed that they hadn’t done anything They hadn’t killed the boy So clearly they did know what they did was wrong , and also knew their parents would disprove Otherwise there would be no reason to lie

Shame on the people who saw a bleeding baby being dragged around and did nothing. Even if this was a different situation, it was three very young boys and one was bleeding and crying. It's shocking no one did anything. Not even a call to the police.
@@jamiejosh96 I agree, hindsight is always 20/20 - but even if they said they were brothers, that means there's three underage children without an adult wondering alone while one is bleeding and hurt, in another world if they were normal older boys and he really was their brother then they would need help as well to find their way home or to a hospital to help their "brother", ya know? @P1Certi Yt A life, no matter what is still a life. Their point is it's absolutely devastating to parents to see their child die even though they still have a future. Saying that just makes you sound ignorant and emotionless.

This is the biggest proof that evil is born not raised as the psychologists want us to believe...humans are not born Good, many are born evil...we have a choice
It’s Merseyside in the 80’s. There wasn’t really anything suspicious about a kid having a few bruises on him people would have assumed it was just three brothers and that one got hurt so they decided to carry him home.
I think what’s also disturbing is that one of the killers got caught multiple times possessing CP and his identity is still being protected. They are both free men at this point. It really makes me think about how much the legal system failed the victim’s families.
I personally hope these two cross the wrong person(s) soon and it isn’t an easy suffer for them. Eye for an eye, no moral compass, but complete self gratitude knowing disturbed, sick humans like this were eliminated right on site.
Jon was denied parole in 2020. He's not free. He was. He was making and sending out CP. He got 2 years for that. Then in 2017 he got caught with child abuse material and was going online pretending to be a mother offering up her child for abuse. In 2020 he was denied parole.
💯 ! However, i feel like there is something wrong here... how can some 10 years old even think about doing something like this? On the other hand.. children in general have raw emotions and they are likely to harm without thinking much because they dont understand their actions , but I thnk these two did
Two 10 year olds throw bricks at a 2 year old and "he kept getting back up" the 2 year old was more tough than they could ever be and at only 2 years old. Shame.
I have a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy right now, I was a teenager when this happened and I thought I was hurt by it then, but now that I watched this and it all came back, I'm crying. "He kept getting back up" made me turn it off and just cry for a bit. I hugged my kids as soon as I got home, held them close, kissed them and told them how much I love them.
And for the record, then 10-year-olds committing murder doesn't blow my mind; it's the fact that no less than 30 GROWN ADULTS saw a toddler hysterically crying for his mother and bleeding from a head wound FAILED to intervene and save James. The anger toward the killers is deserved, but the anger needs to be directed at the irresponsible adults who turned a blind eye and decided not to get involved.
I think the ignorance stems from psychological and contextual reasons. People don't like to get involved in business that isn't theirs, there were many people in the area and they thought that they would help instead, and of course the public wasn't privy to children being brutal murderers. Also, because these boys were 10, people probably assumed that they were helping James or that one of them was a bigger brother trying to get him to safety.
I hear you but when it's happening in the moment most people tend to rationalize it away or think someone else will call for help or intervene. It happens quite alot. Idk if you are from the states or not but there was a string of murders called the alphabet murders in New York state. And one of the first killings involved a young girl running down the road naked from the waist down with her pants in her hand waving and yelling for help while a car was backing up chasing her down and no passing cars stopped to help. They all thought the next person would or that it was a child acting up while using the bathroom. The case remains unsolved to this day
Looked up what venables has been doing since and it’s horrifying. He was released then sent back to jail after they found “indecent” images of children downloaded to his computer. He was released and got warnings for possession of cocaine and drunk brawls. Then got arrested again for 40 months for having over one thousand “indecent” images or videos of children downloaded. He’s clearly a psychopath that should be locked up forever.
@@B-Real-Pshh Let's carry out a thought experiment. His name and identity doesn't get changed. People turn up to his house and they actually kill him. You'll have the people that kill him in court. They're going to jail for murder. That what you want? Should the people that killed him be excused and pardoned because "they did a great thing for society?" Does that mean other people can go around killing previously convicted people? Will all of them be pardoned for being a good part of society? Would that make people prone to being accused, falsely convicted and getting killed? Total anarchy ensues. Someone kills their neighbour because they wanted to but at court they'll claim "No, Sir. i think what it mean, that the cruelty of these two kids came from somewhere. Kids reflect out to the world that what they receive. These kids were not taken care properly, neglected, did not receive proper care, love and nurture. And we can see where this brought them to. Very sad
@dr103 do you know where information on them can be found. I watched another vid that said they were in the witness protection program. Really just want to know how both turned out.
That I also think all the time. This murder boys were still children. Maybe at one point they was overwhelmed from their own action, but adult people should have seen, that there was a very bad action going on. They had can ask what’s going on and the little boy had can taken away from the scene. And by the way, why was a two years old boy at this time on the streets, was really nobody wondering?!?
That's what makes me suspect that there has been some misinformation spread in this case. There's no way that many people would do that let alone one person.
Yes, because the law in many cases protects children. I imagine if these two 10 year olds were selling weed they'd get no jail time at all. But it's possible that an adult may get a more severe punishment for selling weed, than a kid gets for murder, it depends on many factors such as: kid's age, method of murder and also whether you're selling 5 grams or 5 tonnes of weed.
No jail time whatsoever for these two. They spent eight years in a children's home with locked doors (that I was at myself two years prior) laughingly called a secure unit
More like protecting the public from them, albeit poorly. Veterans are adults. They should be able to take care of themselves. Being stupid enough to sign up for the war machine doesn’t grant special privileges

@@kyaos_Meteor because for one thing, privacy is an extremely important human survival tool - a defence mechanism against harm and cumulative stress caused by "exposure" (which is consistently touted as a "good" thing, in spite of the undeniable, and pure negativity it brings with it). Civilization fought for centuries for the right to have its privacy - it wasn't striven for by accident, it was done to protect people from unfair preconceptions (and therefore unexpected harmful consequences), from others. Nobody ever *needs* to reveal anything about their lives to anyone else - under any circumstances. The responsibility for potential spouses etc. to ensure their own wellbeing, is their own, their family's, the community's, the nation's, the world's - GOD's. Society used to be able to manage that in a more tangible - and VASTLY less offensive fashion - than it does today. not so sure what the two murderers would prefer themselves. a life in prison where they are somewhat protected from an angry mob wanting to kill them, and somewhat supported in fighting their own demons - feeling the guilt that is eating your soul day by day for the rest of their lives will happen if you’re in or out prison ...
I know they've been held in custody for long and the ones looking over them say they've made progress, but I wouldn't want to risk letting them free to roam. Clearly something mental was going on with those kids. I wouldn't want to chance something setting them off and once again leading them down a path of torture and murder.

Well, the good news is the chances of any of us being murdered...much less by children is pretty low! I think its something like 1 in 20,000 or something in the United States in a given year. The chances also drop considerably once you make it out of your twenties. Thank goodness I'm almost there!
I was ten years old when this crime was committed, the same age as the two boys who killed Jamie. I was horrified back then and it made me sick to my stomach. I understood it was a horrific, cruel and tragic crime and it has always stuck in my mind as one of the saddest, most awful things I have ever heard in my life. I believe this event left a wound in the hearts of all who heard about it and that wound will never go away.
Me too; I remember going to school the day after the news of this horror had broken, looking around at my boy classmates and thinking: "surely no-one here would do such a thing, how could they have?!" This is why I will never accept the argument that they were "just children and didn't know what they were doing" - if we were in the same academic year as those monsters were, and were sickened by what they did, then they also knew that was they were doing was wrong. RIP James.
he was NOT called Jamie by his parents, both his mother and father always called him James, the newspapers made the name Jamie up, it upsets me the news outlets didn’t even bother to respect this from the parents
Molly Burrell oh now that really upsets me too. How dare they give him a nickname his parents never used. I imagine that was just another horrible thing they had to bear. Blessings to them from an ex Liverpudlian.
It depends, people's identity comes from how other people see them. For example, if tomorrow the whole world suddenly collectively saw you as a weirdo, and there was no way out of that for you, you would not easily stay sane.
Most people aren't normal, they might act normal but they aren't which is fine we're all different. Now I think it's hard to say that 10 year olds that killed a 2 year old should be punished their entire life, they should get proper psychological help. Also, their parents let them out at 12 am midnight at the age of 10, who knows how else they were mistreated or not disciplined by those horrible parents. A 10 year old doesn't have the proper capacity to deal with emotions properly. We let adult murderers free after 15-20 years why would you think a child needs to stay in jail for the rest of their lives?
Actually that’s not true at all, their brains are still developing and at that age they can absolutely be reformed. These days people want to lock people up forever and not help them at all, makes no sense. If they’re an adult and are fully developed it’s much harder to reform, but still not impossible.
Vault Life Probably abortion. Harsh but it's probably what they thought that very moment. Their fathers must carry some evil in their DNA or the men must have not experienced any affection, apparently not being nurtured or DNA creates a killer according to criminology.
Here in Germany the parents would be punished as well cause they have the duty of supervision until the age of 14. I think this would have been appropriate for this crime as well.
Quite the stretch. It's not like there have been any other neglected kids that go around kidnapping and killing toddlers. Some people are just screwed in the head regardless of their upbringing.
@@toro5280 why would this be quiet the strech? If your kid picks up stones and throws them around, maybe hitting a windows you will also be the one being punished not your kid. "Parents are responsible for their children", is a warning you will see on pretty much every construction side in Germany cause they know there are stupid parents.
It breaks my heart to imagine how little James kept trying to get up, and kept crying for his Mum. I can't come on this site anymore. God Bless You, Angel Baby James.
It makes me sick that they were being comforted by their mothers while being interviewed, when baby James was being tortured to death hoping his mother would show up and never did.
Vando Varela I wouldn’t love my child anymore I’d send them to jail and never love or talk to them again they tore another baby from a mother both innocent
Happy- Unicorn I understand, but honestly, if this situation makes you not love your child anymore, that’s because you never really loved your child. Is hard to stop caring for people we love, even when they do wrong. We may not support what they did, I agree, but creating a hate straight away is just not common when there’s love involved.
Bruh sending a ten year old for life is plain wrong. Everyone deserves a second chance. They had a abusive household, do you have no sympathy? I blame the parents! People at that age still deserve a second chance.

Imagine being one of those 30 people that saw a bleeding james that day and knowing that you could of saved his life if you just spoke up, that must play on their minds every day
The tears started pouring down my face once I saw the size of the tiny coffin. That is an absolute cruel thing to do. As someone with a 2 year old brother, I CANNOT imagine any reason why anyone of any age would do such a terrible thing to an innocent child.
Have you met kids? They have no moral compass and are still learning empathy, that's not a sweet little kid to them. It's just a smaller human, children are cruel assholes.
I know children who would kill younger kids. Children of ages through 2-17 can do some disturbing things for their own satisfaction. Sociopaths, and murderers, the way the kids are acting like they are the victim. I’m very disappointed that anyone would do anything like that to a 2 year old. The evil smile of an “innocent” 10 year old. That poor little baby.
At this point they might as well release Venables' details. He's reoffended at least twice, and violated the terms of his release more times than we likely know about. Every time he fucks it up, a lot more money has to be put into fixing his mistakes. He clearly doesn't care about what he's been given, and I'd say take it from him and see how he goes then.
Wasn’t one of the fights completely fabricated and the other instigated by a drug addict who was no doubt going through withdrawals making the skirmish almost unavoidable in one way or another? Nvm I was confused and was thinking about the wrong thing, sorry.
Totally agree, the lack of punishment has left these two as narcissistic little psychos. This is how the British legal system works, punish the victims and 'reabilitate' the criminals and yet they wonder why people re offend. The legal systems pandering to scum is as good as guaranteeing more offenses.
@@monkeymagic00001 Going really hard on punishment over rehabilitation doesn't really work either though. Rehabilitation can work if it's done right (though it rarely is). Maybe I understand the optimism when they were 10, but they're closer to 40 now. Past the age of 18 at least they should've stopped getting any privileges.

YES THIS!
@@katemaloney4296 but no one would expect that from little kids
The case remains unsolved to this day
Even worse, when people try to make excuses for these killers because of their age… And look what happened years later.

His name and identity doesn't get changed.
People turn up to his house and they actually kill him.
You'll have the people that kill him in court.

That what you want?
Should the people that killed him be excused and pardoned because "they did a great thing for society?"
Does that mean other people can go around killing previously convicted people?
Will all of them be pardoned for being a good part of society?
Would that make people prone to being accused, falsely convicted and getting killed?
Total anarchy ensues. Someone kills their neighbour because they wanted to but at court they'll claim "No, Sir. He was in jail before for murder, I was justified in bringing this criminal to justice."

How can you possibly not only bring these children up around leisure but also give them a completely new life with a new identity and future!? They’re killers. No matter what age.. they decided to ruin there lives when they thought it would be fun to murder a toddler. RUIN there lives, don’t GIVE THEM A NEW ONE.
*Their* lives.
@@Marlene55M .oh ffs you can see the poster spelt it right once not the second time its known that spell check overrides your spelling accidentally sure you can read over and edit. But what's the big deal.
not so sure what the two murderers would prefer themselves. a life in prison where they are somewhat protected from an angry mob wanting to kill them, and somewhat supported in fighting their own demons - feeling the guilt that is eating your soul day by day for the rest of their lives will happen if you’re in or out prison ...
We live in a civilised county. Revealing their identities would probably get them killed so yes they should remain anonymous
I know they've been held in custody for long and the ones looking over them say they've made progress, but I wouldn't want to risk letting them free to roam. Clearly something mental was going on with those kids. I wouldn't want to chance something setting them off and once again leading them down a path of torture and murder.
One of the most disturbing cases in history
I literally couldn’t even finish watching this.. I clicked out as soon as he said “he wouldn’t stay down” I could only imagine the fear and pain that poor little baby was going through..

Rest In Peace, James Bulger. Praying for your family til this day and I hope they’ve found some sort of peace. Unfortunately your killers got 8 years in jail and new identities. But don’t worry because one of the killers (Jon) went to jail for 14 years because of CP. You would’ve been 32 or 33 years old. You had so much life to live. Rest In Peace, you will be missed forever and always 🙏🏽
I’m surprised tho 30 people didn’t question why they weren’t in school. May James Rest In Peace.
Update on Jon Venables: he was given a new identity with the understand he will not get in trouble again. He was arrested 3 times, first offence bar fight second, having pictures of child images, third arrest cocaine.

Well, the good news is the chances of any of us being murdered...much less by children is pretty low! I think its something like 1 in 20,000 or something in the United States in a given year. The chances also drop considerably once you make it out of your twenties. Thank goodness I'm almost there!
Good reminder to always protect your kids....even from those we think we know and are close to.
@Unsympathetic not the right time
I can’t believe the complete lack of punishment received by the pair
RIP James.
I understand your reactions. Human mind has pretty dark areas.
I was 10 years old also. Made me sick then, makes me sick now.
I've seen worse...
By kids of 10 to 14 ages killed with an axe 8 year old kid
he was NOT called Jamie by his parents, both his mother and father always called him James, the newspapers made the name Jamie up, it upsets me the news outlets didn’t even bother to respect this from the parents
Molly Burrell oh now that really upsets me too. How dare they give him a nickname his parents never used. I imagine that was just another horrible thing they had to bear. Blessings to them from an ex Liverpudlian.
I didn't hear them call him that in this show? Jamie Bulger was a Boston murderer, different person.
I'm sorry but if you murder someone at 10, that person will never be normal
It depends, people's identity comes from how other people see them. For example, if tomorrow the whole world suddenly collectively saw you as a weirdo, and there was no way out of that for you, you would not easily stay sane.
...and the subsequent life of venables proved this
@@MrRaulstrnad wdym?
That little baby must have cried so much for him mom throughout. My heart breaks 😢😢😢
You just made me weep.
I can't imagine what the mothers are thinking as they are sitting in the interrogation rooms with those boys. I can't even imagine...
Vault Life Probably abortion. Harsh but it's probably what they thought that very moment. Their fathers must carry some evil in their DNA or the men must have not experienced any affection, apparently not being nurtured or DNA creates a killer according to criminology.
Hulkerine100 That's the biggest load of BS I've ever read LOL. Did you get your knowledge from crime shows?
GKJ Most killers have been severely abused, it is just fact based. Normal, healthy people do not tend to murder. That should be obvious.
Katie Ted Bundy was normal healthy person. So was Stalin.
You need to educate yourself with more thorough research.
Here in Germany the parents would be punished as well cause they have the duty of supervision until the age of 14. I think this would have been appropriate for this crime as well.
I think they should do this in America as well
@@Eclipse1369 no that’s a stupid idea
@@longjumpingad3721 if parents are responsible for their children’s crimes as well there would be much better parenting
What completely breaks my heart is that he fought back. 😢

Yeah like any parent going to stop loving their ten year old 🤷♂️
Reindeer Fawn what it makes you sick? They still child and have a mother, mothers will love their Child’s.
I agree. They shd have been interrogated in a cold environment . Even that is a luxury compared to what they did to the poor toddler.

The tears started pouring down my face once I saw the size of the tiny coffin. That is an absolute cruel thing to do. As someone with a 2 year old brother, I CANNOT imagine any reason why anyone of any age would do such a terrible thing to an innocent child.
they were likely demon possessed . that's fairly normal for murders of innocent people .
Have you met kids? They have no moral compass and are still learning empathy, that's not a sweet little kid to them. It's just a smaller human, children are cruel assholes.

These two boys are mentally demented, they are Sociopaths.
Creepy

Totally agree, the lack of punishment has left these two as narcissistic little psychos. This is how the British legal system works, punish the victims and 'reabilitate' the criminals and yet they wonder why people re offend. The legal systems pandering to scum is as good as guaranteeing more offenses.
@@monkeymagic00001 Going really hard on punishment over rehabilitation doesn't really work either though. Rehabilitation can work if it's done right (though it rarely is). In this case, these guys were literally just given the ultimate "you can do whatever you want without having to face any consequences." for it. Maybe I understand the optimism when they were 10, but they're closer to 40 now. Past the age of 18 at least they should've stopped getting any privileges. All they've learned up to now is that no matter what they do, they'll never have to face any real consequences or take responsibility. That. Should've ended a long time ago
When I was 10, I was lying to my Mum about not having any homework to do so I could go out and play with my friends. These 2 were lying about a murder.....
