Wrestling is WAY older than 2000 years and to accredit it to any one given culture or civilization is intellectually dishonest. The oldest artistic depiction of wrestling comes from France 15-20,000 years ago with other mentions of wrestling dating to 10,000 years ago in Mongolia and China. Not too mention Egyptian hieroglyphs from 5000 years ago
