Just a reminder that Zack never intended to have a “MCU” that ran for 10+ years. He planned 5 main films (mos, BvS and JL trilogy) with spinoffs (SS, WW, Aquaman and flash etc) to flesh out the story. This universe was meant to be a self contained universe that stands on its own similar to Nolan’s films and how the comics are looked at. And yes flashpoint was always meant to take place after Zack has told his story to allow for the wider DC universe to take place and that would be the birth of the “DCEU”.
I do hope that is still the plan, somehow. If anything seeing as they did things differently from Zack’s vision of DCEU, I do hope to see Zack Snyder cuts of the main flims in the future

Man of steel + BvS are the essential ones. The first Wonder Woman also feels pretty consistent with those movies. There's some other good DCEU movies like Shazam and aquaman but they don't feel like the same universe as the Snyder trilogy and WW1
This Nightmare timeline has me much more intrigued about this version of JL than I was expecting. I assume the Nightmare reality will be an entire episode of the show, possibly longer. Kind of reminds me of Endgame in terms of the Heroes living in a reality where the villains win.

I think DC needs to improve their CGI villains. Doomsday, Steppenwolf & now, Darkseid. Marvel went through several processes to improve Thanos but I’m still hyped.
