This was a lot of fun! If you’re wondering why I didn’t drive the car in this video, it’s because the filming was quite last minute and I did not sort out insurance! Make sure to check out Antony’s channel here: ➤ bit.ly/sportzntouring
I'm sure I will be hated for this but as an actual owner, I see a severely missed opportunity. The car is beautiful. It handles insanely well and a few after market parts it can be on par with some of the best........however regardless what these videos show... 1. The car cost a fortune to beef the motor. Its subjective but to me the engine is extremely limited. That could have attempted a 2jz killer in this car but didn't. 2 . The car is way to heavy. 3. All of the z and g cars came with a high speed rear end. Most owners dont really need to go 185 mph. I would rather have a car that tops out at 145 but gets there in half the time. Even a freaking ls motor has way more potential with half the headaches. Nissan has a golden opportunity to create a porche hunter on the track without spending a ton. The GTR could still be a flagship without this killing it sales. People will hate on what I'm saying but its. 100% true. Nissan held back alot and shame on them
Gotta admit, I was expecting a teenager with a rich dad to own this car, the well-to-do middle aged guy was a real curve ball 😂 Sick car though and great vid 🤙
The replacement Z badges are a nice touch. Will be looking for one in a year's time in Pearl White. Awesome looking Car still and has been my choice for a long time. M2 competition is another stunning Car and is on my list but they hold great value and well over my budget. Z sounds awesome! 👍
Joel, the question is; "Are you a 400 or 500 hp driver?" In other words; "Can you drive a 400 hp vehicle and enjoy the experience?" Keeping in mind that things happen quicker, braking is more critical and 35 mph curves are just that. Sure, you can go faster and maybe stop sooner and easily do 60 mph around a 35 mph curve, but is it within your enjoyment level? Driving fast for a long period is exhausting and your Z can easily hold off most cars even faster ones. Even noise can be tiresome. My last thought is that somewhere along the line you're going to have to find out how good of a driver you are and then match the car to your skills.
I've driven the Jag and the thing I found was that when loading the car through corners the Jag rotates forward of your driving position. The Z rotates on your hip... Feels like your more connected in the Z. Plus, there's the fact that it's a pure RWD manual with the joys of heeling and toeing yourself... If that's what you're looking for.
It's The Last Of Us buddy😂 (Spoiler Alert) ever since I've played it that's all I keep seeing is the name Joel. Got nothing to do with you😁😁 great Content buddy👌👌

No hate here. I agree there's a lot that could be done but I'm not sure they could go noticeably further without lifting the price closer to 50-60k just because these are relatively low volume cars. I'm happy for the car to be more accessible at 40k new but open to development if you happen to have the cash to spend another 20k. The limitations aren't so much engineering but economical...
@@ufarkingicehole i was making a comparison to the supra... Great car but more BMW than Toyota... Maybe it would be an improvement but it's also £10-15k more... It's like I said in the video, it's a personal thing. Depends on what car you connect with personally.
@@ufarkingicehole bmw 6 cylinder apart from M3 E46 and Z4 3.2 liter which is the same engine the rest sound dead. only the M3 E92 V8 is a step up. Rest are nothing to shout about
Its mapped and has a different exhaust. The normal Z with just backbox delete only pops 2-4 times on overrun and sounds good with short tails. I have same car. The exhaust and map makes a difference. High flow cats makes it a bit louder. Mine is as loud as it can be for my area. Not trying to get bricked.
Short follow up: I'm looking for addition to my Z4. I can rock a 350 to 375 hp vehicle all day long driving highway or twisty roads. Sure, if I want to go fast in a straight line where the only skill is holding the steering wheel tight then I can see 500 to 700 hp. Keep in mind, it only requires 48 hp in our Z's to do 80 mph on a highway. (I have my sights on a BMW M2 convertible as my next car. I might not be able to run around your friends 270Z Nismo, but I know I can annoy the hell out of him in that car.) Cheers.
Haha. The 370 is even better in the twisties than the 350. It's shorter wheel base plus being lower and wider makes it a bit more agile... The M2 is a great car too and, as with all these things, you go for the car that you connect with 😁
Depends on what you want really. I've driven GT-Rs too and I find the 370z more fun with it's manual gearbox and RWD... If you just want to destroy people from the lights, then go GT-R. If you want to heel and toe, balance the throttle through a corner to counter understeer on fast roads, then go 370z 👍
they don't sound rice in person . the vq nissan engines and similar are very unique and get good feedback on sound. only cheap exhaust mods make them sound trumpety
I have short tails on mine. Back box removal. Doesn't sound rice at all. Sounds refined! No unnecessary pops and bangs. Just a pop or two which is natural. Thats the way it should have come from factory with the short tails.

£500 for a res delete. Someone got absolutely raped at their garage! Jesus
Where would you rank this car against the other recent drives, and why?

Hard as I didn’t actually drive this car. However, this is by far the most engaging and driver focused out of the recent ones
