first thing you should do is flip those boards over to what is referred to as the Smily side up, which means looking at the the ends of the boards that grain/growth rings should be smiling at you and not frowning. Which translates to bark side down and that is what keeps the boards from cupping later and holding water as well as to avoid curling and pulling the boards away from their fasteners. After 50 years of building this is something i was taught by my grandfather and always used and it is obvious through the years that it makes a huge difference and prolongs the life of any deck built using wood by adding probably 10 years to the life of the decking. 👍

what type of hilman screws do you recommend for use with the Camo? i'm looking on Amazon and it has the option to customize the heck out of them! I'm guessing the brad head style, but what material, finish, length and thread would you recommend??
    Thank you in advance!

pt is always put in tight. when it dries it makes a 3/16 to 1/4 gap. youll end up with much bigger ones

I just do not see how shooting the screws on the edge with the camo will last. It just isn’t as strong as shooting the screws through the board top.
