That was a really good video!! Some absolutely beautiful locations with amazing views! I can only imagine how long this took you to put together... WOW... GREAT WORK! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING, SAFE TRAVELS ROAMERS!
I'm so happy that you traveled through east Washington! I grew up there and west washington always hogs the spotlight, but east Washington has its own quiet beauty too: endless wheat fields that turn green for two months of the year, old farm equipment and silos, the rolling hills of the palouse, palouse falls and so much more! Since I no longer live in east Washington, it was nice to see the landscape of my childhood!
Brussel sprouts rock!!! 😊 Alex, you ROCK as a narrator!!! Meg is a marvel, cooking such great meals after traveling as much as you do!!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You are both so appreciated for all that you do to bring these travel vlogs to us!!!❤❤
Thanks, it’s really nice that people appreciate the work we put into these videos. It’s already worth it, but the kudos and props make it more worth it. 😊😊🙌🏻
👍 to Brussel sprouts. Beautiful video. Thank you so much. This production must have been difficult to edit. Just so many beautiful places. Your narration is thoughtful and entertaining. 🇨🇦
Another great epic video, worth all the popcorn friends 🫤. Great High Country Colorado vistas. Love to know the aspect ratio you're cameras are set to ?. Also an epic drone catch at the end, don't miss it, and.. 👍 Rock on 🙂.
Such efficiency - always bang on schedule the Slow Roamers latest epic goes live 😊! Time for sleep here in Scotland, looking forward to a cosy Sunday afternoon watching tomorrow. A whole 93mins? You spoil us! Happy travels, Alex and Megan x
Hey Rachel! Gotta stay consistent 😉😁. I didn’t know how I was going to make four individual entertaining roadtrip films so I just made one.😁 You’re gonna love it!
@SlowRoamers Thank you for sharing the hidden gems that you discover with us. Those 'nooks and crannies' are the places that I'm most curious about too. While I wish I could see them for myself, I'd rather visit vicariously than not at all. Your drone footage makes my heart soar. At times, I feel as though I've grown a pair of wings, and I'm gliding free over the most spectacular landscapes, my eyes wide in awe. They're not my favourite thing, but I would DIVE into Megan's brussels as they looked amazing! Loved your culinary creations in this video and the opportunity to see some of the process. Cottage cheese icing? Yes please. When you were driving through all the mud at 1:02:00, who drew the short straw and had to get out into it to position the camera? Loved every moment, thanks for a terrific video, in which every epic vista seemed to be surpassed by the next. Favourite moment? The views from Ben and Louisa's place - the light was incredible - a writer, artist and former hiker's dream 🙂, OR M's reaction to A's vehicle levelling pride and delight 😄.
😊😊😊Thanks Rachel for this thoughtful comment. I’ll be working hard to get the drone out as often as we can while going through Mexico, central and South America. It’s tough in the US if we’re not driving on back roads or gravel because the speeds are so great and cars so plentiful. There’s a whole new world of food coming to a screen near you. As we get into these new countries Meg’s going to have new ingredients to cook with and I’m sure there’s gonna be some new tasty creations. As for the deep puddle shot, I had to hike way around that and set up a tripod then hiked back and drove through. Meg often walks out ahead if I haven’t asked of her too much shooting yet or she’s working. We’ll be back to these places again one day, so it’s not the last time you’ll see them.😊
I call the western slope of Colorado home. I'm so glad you're able enjoy the million dollar highway after a good snow storm. It truly is such a beautiful drive. And that taco shop in Carbondale is my favorite. Safe travels and can't wait to see the next video.
lol, I think that sentiment is shared by a significant number of our viewers after watching our videos.😂 Glad to have another sprouts lover in the club!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Quite true, it’s a good mindset to have. If you wake up in the morning, it’s a day and you’re alive so it’s probably a good one. Thanks for watching Scott!
Looks like that National Park in Colorado is the same as some in Canada…they want the money but don’t necessarily want to give you all the access or even pay someone to collect the funds. Pacific Rim NP on Vancouver Island has always been a sore spot with me. They say you need a reservation fee to camp at Long Beach plus the camping fee even though it’s getting on in September and you know the campground won’t be full. You get there and there’s nobody at the gate to the CG to even collect money! Then you drive past the park headquarters and there’s 30 trucks there…What do those people do all day? We were out there in October, one day the campground was open with someone at the gate…next day it was closed and then looked to be open a few days later! One thing we found this time was they actually had a 4 hour paid pass for parking and walking the beaches BUT, the machines wouldn’t accept my new Visa card! We walked anyway….they got none of our money!
Great video, super nice adventures, I like the heating system with wood. Here in the Netherlands it will be forbidden in the city to heat your house with wood, because of the ‘toxicity’. Be careful with the wood burner, because you are only living once………. Greetings from the Netherlands.
All depends on how the brussel sprouts are cooked. Slow pan fry to a caramelized tasty goodness. Yes please! Boil the crap out of them like grandma did. Hard no! Fabulous video this week guys:)
I don’t usually watch videos this long but I did. What a great adventure. We live in Montrose and the San Juan’s and southern Utah have been our adventure spots for years. It was great to see the Wedge Overlook and Buckhorn Pictograph panel as we plan to visit it in the near future. Hopefully I can get some great drone shots after seeing what you do! Thank you for sharing your journey! It was an awesome video with great videography and photography. You set a high standard to follow. 😀😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍👍
You capture my imagination with your drone shots of the mountains, I have always been drawn to mountains. @@nancyschad2969I'm a brussel sprouts fan too. Ever tried cutting out the white core? (It removes all bitterness.) Everything falls to leaves then you steam them. And yes big time to the bacon. I like your other suggestions too.
So I am curious did you go with a 24” topper with you van? Also how high is your bed above the floor minus the mattress. I will avoid installing the bed until my high top is installed. I ordered my high topper from Mory Inc out of Quebec Canada.
We did a medium top which is about 12”. We went with the shorter top mainly so that we can fit the van into a shipping container to get her across the Darien Gap. We decided the height of our bed platform based on both of us sitting upright comfortably in bed (we have coffee in bed) and on the couch, when it’s in couch mode. I suggest making sure there is at least that much room from bed to ceiling, which obviously depends how tall you are.
Glad too see you back on the road! Hope the van is working well. If you're passing through SLC again and want a hot shower and/or hot tubbing, give a holler. 😎

Man seeing the 2wd van in action gives me some hope for my 2wd truck camper🤟🤟.
Oh yeah, just send it! 😁🤘🏼🤘🏼
My 2wd camper van weighs in at 8k #. She’s pretty sure footed as long as her tires are in good shape.
Have no fear!
We’re at almost 9k, it’s a lot of traction. Learn to balance your momentum and you can make it up a lot of stuff.
