  • Tulunadu in the Sangam Literature The earliest reference to Tulunadu is found in the Sangam literature, where the people of this region are termed the Kosars. However, there were the western, eastern, northern, and southern Kosars, thereby implying that the Tulu people were one of the Kosars.
Bhoota Kola, or Holy Spirit Worship, is an ancient ritual form of worship prevalent among the Tulu-speaking community in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada districts in Karnataka, and Kasaragod taluk in Kerala, historically known as Tulu Nadu. It has a close resemblance to Theyyam, a ritual form of worship common among Malayalis of the North Malabar. The coastal Karnataka is known for two art forms, namely Bhuta Kola, a highly stylized version of the ritual dance of the spirit impersonator, and a fine tradition of Yakshagana, creating a world of divine and supernatural beings with all the paraphernalia of costumes, make-up, music, dance, and dialogue.

@@CJ-ud8nfthis confusion happens when you don't know about tulu Or malayalam Or tamil. He compared tulu culture and tamil culture. He did not compare tulu culture with Tamilnadu culture like you did. When you say tamil culture, it includes tamils from India and srilanka too. When you say tamil Nadu it is limited to Tamilnadu and ingores srilankan tamil culture.
In way do you think kerala is similar to Tulunadu? The letters of malayalam are adopted from tulu. And Theyyam? So you think, theyyam is exclusive to kerala alone? Tamil Nadu has its theyyam too. And food culture? The southern tamilnadu, coinbatore region, and the entire srilankan tamil food culture are similar to that of kerala's and tulunadu. And Onam? Even though onam is not celebrated in tulu and present Tamilnadu. It was a grand festival even in Tamilnadu before vijayanagar empire. It is just like 700 years back that festival lost its significance.

      @yinyang8254 2 месяца назад

Yes no one is pure genetically linking a favorable clans to tamil society and misleading people by the Dravidian word links as if its only in tamil and totally ignoring native Karnataka and Kerala..
Tamil people creating a cleft into the society by their pride and differentiating and favouring people of particular portion of Karnataka shows their cheap political intentions...
As a person knowing both sides I know the political mindset these people have.. please be aware ppl...this is going too toxic...here Kanadigas totally ignored the kannada/Tulu society of tamilnadu and simply minding their own buisness...whereas the opposite happening in tamilnadu.... making division among people by language..
      No one is pure here.
Any uneducated or overproud Tuluva/tamilian too get mislead by this..and think against Karnataka, kannada.already I have seen this happening ..but Tuluvas should understand that we all are linked somehow..and by pride we can't change history..even halegannada,Kerala culture are is more related to Tulu than tamil related to it..
Here intention is to highlight tamils alone are the root of everything...this claim is done because of many literature works and assumptions of tamil scholars already made..this is still not proved..but people are imposing this constantly by making their assumptions to greater levels..fact is unknown..so they using this opportunity very well.. creating more theories In a authentic way.tamil is also a well preserved language from sangam age support this..but kannada lacks such things and not well documented comparatively... totally ignoring others and proving themselves is somewhat very mean.

The information provided in this video is not correct, the evidence of the oldest rulers of Tulu Nadu is of Alupa or Kadamba Dynasty who were vassals of larger Chalukya and Rashrakuta dynasties which ruled over large parts of ancient karnataka, maharashtra and andhra pradesh, what can be assumed is that originally bhoota kola was a spiritual practice of tribals in the region which also influenced the ruling bunt / nadava people who were related to alupa dynasty & the practice also extended to worship of local heroes over time,,the worship of snakes (naag aaradhane is separate from Bhoota Kola) & was a practice of the bunt / nadavas, the bunt / nadavas were influenced by the kadambas from banvasi in north kanataka & also other influences coming from north, though there is a mention of mayur sharma of kadamba dynasty contacting the brahmins in Kanchi, having said it is possible that the tribals might have some connection with the groups mentioned in the sangam literature,

    Adi Divyan /vayanaattukulavan theyyam
    Divyan/thiyyan
    Daivam/theyyam
    Thiyyans god's are theyyams
Centuries old thiyyas theyyam thottams do mention the meaning of the name thiyya as divya/divyan (in english it means divine) several times in the theyyam rituals
Thiyyas are shaktheya hindhus from kerala thiyya means divyan/divine and theyyam means daivam/ deva and in central asian and Chinese language also the word thiya meens divine/deva or heaven and the ritual performance of the divine is called theyyam/daivam And most theyyams are related with thiyya community of north malabar and thiyyas ancestor god is vayanaattu kulavan/aadi divyan/aadi thiyyan and ancestor godess or kula devi is Arya poomaala bagavathi and sree kurumba bagavathi is also an important goddess of thiyyas almost all sree kurumba kavu and temples in malabaar is related with thiyya and they also worship muthappan an aryan god of thiyyas a mixture of Shiva and vishnu as one divine soul theyyam in all parts in the country and many of thiyya theyyams do mention Arya word many times in their theyyam thottams like Arya nation,Arya land, Arya god,Arya king,Arya daughter etc.. and the nearby hindhu communitys around north malabar area also adopted theyyams from years and gentic studies by indian government authorities also saying thiyyas have an out side origin from south india and thiyya played a huge role in the spread of kalaripayattu, Ayurveda and theyyams in malabar kerala and the ruling hindhu party in india BJP (bhara thiya janatha party) also named after this community 'bharathiya means divine people of bharat' it use to glorify the people of bharat.
And the word 'thi' also means in Malayalam 🔥 fire(agni) the purest thing and its colour is orange which is a sacred colour for hindhus
and in central asian-chinese vedic hindhu-bhudhist mixed religion they used the word Thiya to glorify their gods like Dàzìzàithiān (Shiva), Dìshìtiān (Indra), Dàfàntiān (Brahma), Jíxiáng Tiānnǚ (Lakshmi), Biàncáithiān (Saraswati or Bharathi)
and scy-thians are also an indo iranian tribe lived in central asia and in anciant greek also thia means divine/god/ goddess and a goddess called theia also in Greek methodology and many gods also carry 'thia' name in ancient greek religion.
In the Vedic tradition, soma (Sanskrit: सोम, romanized: sóma) is a ritual drink of importance among the early Vedic Indo-Aryans.The Rigveda mentions it, particularly in the Soma Mandala. Gita mentions the drink in chapter 9 It is equivalent to the Iranian haoma(alcohol drink)The relationship between humans and the deity was one of transaction, with Agni (the sacrificial fire) taking the role of messenger between the two. Strong traces of a common Indo-Iranian religion remain visible, especially in the Soma cult and the fire worship and animal sacrifice is also part of early vedic tribs

Because Tamils are jealous of not only Sanskrit Hindi and other north Indian languages but also other south Indian languages with nauseating references on greatness of only Tamil language day in and day out.

    O Tamilian fanatic man
    World most fanatic people are
    Tamils, like sansrit adoring people
We are the first, we are the first
Tap your shoulder your self 😂
Dravid language is mother of all South Indian language it’s not Tamil,
    Tulu has unique identity
    Tamil people don’t have daivaradhane,
    Kerala & tulu have daivarasane
They have Muruga, piercing of hook, body punishment, They have karagattam male female dance which is very very different.

Tamils are not fanatic, we have archaeological, literary and genome evidence for what we claim. Because you want to hang on the fanatic theory where there is no archaeological , no literary evidence , you can't call Tamil fanatics.
