So I took this same route on EgyptAir on December 10th of 2002. At the time Egypt Air was using the 777-200. We took off from JFK at about 11 p.m. and when the sun came up, the flight attendants strictly made everybody keep the window shade down for like four and a half hours and it was very upsetting to me. I kept opening the shade only for the flight attendant to tell me to close it again. I will say the food was good on those flights.
Yeah, Egyptair was operating with the 777-200 before and I missed aircraft type unfortunately. US catering is amazing. Honestly said that was the best food I have ever experienced during a flight. To handle the Egyptair's cabin stuff regarding the window shades is not easy indeed. To film the whole flight in both directions I had to cover the window to ensure filming. So I covered the window with a t-shirt. The crew tolerated this because the cabin remained dark enough.
Thanks a lot Andy, I tried to upload it on 4K, but RUclips didn’t accept 250GB file for upload unfortunately. 128GB is limit, so I had to decrease the quality.
Hey again. I just wanted to share something very cool. Air Canada itself is now initiating 6 flights each week between Cairo and Montreal. The carrier is 787-9, and while it is still waiting for approval, Air Canada operates between these two destinations nonetheless! I hope I get to spot that Air Canada in Cairo International Airport soon! Would be amazing. Let me know if you do in the future.
That sounds interesting. It was my goal one day to fly from Cairo to Canada once. Egyptair operates between Cairo and Toronto. Montreal sounds more interesting and I didn’t fly with Air Canada before. I am interested in but I can’t tell you when. At the moment the circumstances are not easy, especially for European.
For sure. In the news regarding this, they did advise everyone to avoid non essential travel regardless of this new enhanced connectiom between Egypt and Canada. Hope things get better soon.
It took a very long time, around 15 hours. Originally I have rendered it in 4K and took over 24 hours. Due to RUclips size limitations, I couldn’t upload it, so I rendered again in lower quality.
Very good, love to see it! Egyptair's B777-300 is comparatively better than any other Egyptair aircraft I've tried. I haven't flown this route but I have flown on Saudia Airlines 777 between Jeddah and Toronto. I love those long flights on 777s and 787s.
What I can recommend is Egyptair’s B787-9. You will enjoy this flight. You’re right, to enjoy the 777s or 787s only in long haul flight. Hopefully one time I can enjoy a long haul flight with MS’s Dreamliner.
It is by far easier than you think. I was use a GoPro 7 Hero black. I attached the camera to the window with a suction cup. The GoPro's battery normally is able to record a little over an hour in 4K. The camera was plugged into the socket throughout the flight. That’s all.
You won't. JFK is big indeed, but you will arrive at Terminal 4. That is not the biggest terminal and everything is signed out well. Also you are going to face a lot of employees. Believe me, you can't get lost. It is easier to get lost in Cairo. 😂😂
@@GuidanceX hahaha u are so hilarious what u said made me feel comfortable . Maybe what i said is a little bit silly but i didn't travel before and u know we get nervous about everything that we try for the first time so when it comes to travel to the US surely I will be worried btw I will try the tourism visa soon and I hope I can get it if u have any advices for the interview plz share it with me 😊
I am travelling with the German passport, so I have different requirements to fulfill. I know what you mean. If I do something for the first time, I have headache, nausea and a couple of things more. But I can tell you that you don't need. Hopefully you will pass the interview and find yourself with the visa in your hands inside the plane to JFK.
One month after my flight, Egyptair made an equipment change from B777-300 to B787-9. Then Corona appeared and aviation almost came to a standstill. Since the slow restart, Egyptair has been flying to New York again with the Tripple Seven. That's right, it's a dry airline.

Ich finde die sitze für den preis klasse
Auf jeden Fall! Die Preise für diese Strecke hat sich zum Glück kaum verändert über die letzten Jahre.

Why is it with the window shades? Brightness? Heat?
Window shades?
Great video! Thank you for sharing this great adventure and the view along the way! All the best!!!
Thanks man👍👍👍, it was a pleasure for me to make this video
what a sound !
ge90
it's roaring
Yes, the GE90 as it’s best👍💪💪
Even at 1080 the video quality is excellent! Audio too for the beautiful GE90 startup. 🥰 That SQ A380 though, what a beauty!

@@GuidanceX It's perfect :)
Even at 1080? Do you realize 95%+ of folks watching this via tiny screens? 1080 is serious overkill...
Next week you can be a witness of a full flight from Cairo to Newark, 11 hours in 4K.

Me too. I look ahead with confidence that everything will slowly return to normal.
Amazing what oil can do for a parched desert landscape...
Look at the Emirates in the 80s. How oil can change everything is best seen there.
@@GuidanceX Roger that!
very good job men
Thanks man👍👍
Guidance, When will you be able to fly Egyptair to JFK and back again?
At the moment it is not planned due to pandemic circumstances. But in mind I’d like to make a long haul flight with Egyptair again.
@@GuidanceX You should try flying to Newark, NJ (EWR) on their B787-9
I will do it soon, end of September.
@@GuidanceX Just so you know, They rescheduled the NY JFK flight from 9:20am to 3:10am (now 4:10am because of daylight savings)
Yes I know, that happened in March. EWR schedule is 5:10am. For the return flight to Cairo jetlag is guaranteed.
How long did it take for this video to render?

Nice video, how did you mount the camera, how did you manage its battery life for 10 hours what model is it, if I may ask?

I'll do this in a week.
Nice, have fun. 👍
I hope I can travel from Egypt to usa 😭 but I'm sure I'm gonna be so nervous once I arrive at jfk airport 😂😅
You do not need to be nervous, the passport control was relaxed.
@@GuidanceX I just feel like I will get lost inside this airport idk 😂😂😂

I thought they were only flying 787-9's from JFK-Cairo. It being a "dry" airline is a deal breaker for me.
One month after my flight, Egyptair made an equipment change from B777-300 to B787-9. Then Corona appeared and aviation almost came to a standstill. Since the slow restart, Egyptair has been flying to New York again with the Tripple Seven. That's right, it's a dry airline.
@@GuidanceX I don’t get why they reverted the equipment change on the NY JFK route
I don’t understand a lot of things what Egyptair is doing. Aircraft selection for specific routes is one of them.
@@GuidanceX They use their B787's for Cairo to Newark Liberty flights now.
Yes, that is a very good decision.
BS
Yeah.
Huh?
Hey.
