Hello there, and thank you for recording these long haul flights! I just have one question for your consideration. Do you have the GoPro 8 Black? The reason I ask is that little camera has the very best audio quality yet, and I know that you put a lot of effort into making these videos. For someone who's totally blind and loves flying, I really believe that the audio quality is as important as the visual quality is for those who can see the video, because it truly gives everyone the feeling that we're on board the aircraft with you. I hope you share my "point of view." (Pun fully intended.) Of course, the newest IPhones including the 2020 IPhone SE are excellent as well. An excellent pair of Bos stereo Headphones with Dolby Atmos makes it perfect, and when I activate my speakers, I can just feel the vibration of the plane, as we make our way from gate to gate! Now, all I need is a new chair with a high back and arm rests to complete the deal! I can't tell you how much I miss traveling, and I really hope I can start traveling again this year. Until then, I know with your help along with a few other "air-Channels" here on RUclips, I can fly the skies wherever I'd like! I hope you'll take my suggestion to heart, because right now, the audio is a bit narrow and compressed between the ears, because the older GoPro's mic just isn't in true stereo. Even the Black for some reason doesn't hold that stereo sound, but I've heard the 8 Black, and the mic that's included with it is in real stereo which is so much better for the ears. It's also the key reason why it works for people with Tinnitus. Keep up the good work!
Hi Heather, I'm really glad you enjoy the videos. This is something that has crossed my mind and I have looked at another full flight video which used the Hero 8 and I am very impressed with the microphone so I'm aiming to upgrade my kit for my trip in October (if it even goes ahead!). Currently I'm on the Hero 7 silver which has been absolutely fine but new season of flying means new kit! But rest assured I understand that the sound is very important.

I am watching this in 2020 during the quarantine. Oh how I miss long haul flights. Towards the end, they announce a website about visa-free entry for people from 80 countries. Looks like Doha will be on my destination list soon.

Funnily enough, no! But I have filmed a few flights where they have got funny about the window!
Personally I prefer to keep the shades (mostly) open. Otherwise I feel like sitting in a flying coffin.

I use a Go Pro Hero 7 Silver and I hook it up to a powerbank or use the USB charging on the plane... if possible!!

@@Sillyitineraries be aware of possible overheating if using the plane's power. A mega powerbank is usually safer.
