From Barcelona beach to the top of Park Güell! There's so much to see and do in Barcelona. After all of our travels we've discovered that it's best to hire a guide and get a personalized tour. Here are our recommendations if you're planning a trip to Barcelona.

Skip-the-lines tours are always worth it. They're easy and you're guaranteed entry. Plus the guides know how to manuever the crowds and highlight what you need to know. It's always nice to get insight from a local, too. This tour was short and sweet and then we were allowed to linger in the temple as long as we wanted afterwards.

It's good to study up a little before your visit, because once you're there the majesty and details will overtake you in awe. The tour guide was great, but I found this pdf to be really helpful.

Again, skip-the-lines tours are always worth it! Everything I said above, but I'll reiterate that you're guaranteed entry. There were so many people outside the park desperate to get in and begging to take the spots of any group no-shows. Apparently, they limit the amount of people they let in every day so get your tickets beforehand! It was be so disappointing to miss this. We had a really nice guide that showed us around and then we were allowed to explore on our own afterwards. Park Güell is huge so give yourself ample time to explore.
Side note: Find a restaurant at the bottom of the hill before you make the ascent. There is very limited availability at the top. It's a steep climb so just take a cab! There are a few entrances so have them drop you off at the Ctra. del Carmel, 23 for best service :)

Best. Location. Ever. Within walking distance of everything you want to do. Restaurants, bakeries, cafes and even a Starbucks right outside the door. Clean and quiet neighborhood. Need I say more? We always prefer an apartment to a hotel and this one exceeded our expectations.
Food:
Everywhere! But especially Tapas Tapas tapataparestau... and Barnabier www.barnabier....
