    I visited Sagrada Familia and it's definitely worth the time. It's an incredible, but also bizarre building. The video gives you an idea of what it's like, but the only way you can really appreciate it is to see it with your own eyes.

    I think it's a gorgeous building, incredibly ingenious & unique. I would love to visit but too old to travel nowadays. However I will enjoy videos of it when it's completed I'm sure! I'm very happy they actually are completing this!

    Conceived by a genius, built out of unwavering faith by members of Catalonia's large Sacred Family. I am a bit puzzled by the building licence episode at this stage of development. Has this been verified?

    I think the great Cologne Gothic cathedral in Germany took about 400 years to complete as did a lot of the other big cathedrals -even St Peter's in Rome took hundreds of years.

      Construction in Cologne was interrupted for several hundred years, but then finished in the late 19th century.

    And people call this achievement? Imagine if you spent the same energy of helping the weak and weary, imagine if you invested the time in harmony and peace and healing the reality, but nope. you spend all the money and effort on egotistical vanity projects which serve no purpose at all except the inflation of your own sense of greatness. Biggest pile of manure ever.

    • @kaloarepo288
      @kaloarepo288 3 дня назад

      What absolute nonsense you spout - you do realize that projects like this one , inspired by the same enthusiasm as inspired the great Gothic cathedrals also exercised the extremely valuable building and artistic skills that have been so important to human development and the enhancement of the human psyche. The Gothic style of architecture, for example, was a breakthrough in construction techniques that hadn't existed until that point -being able to cover an immense interior space of such incredible height - by using the principle of the flying buttresses outside and then being able to use that lightness to install vast expanses of exquisite stained glass. The stained glass alone extended the skills of the glazier to new heights. You do realize that all these projects have flow on beneficial effects even in the strictly functional realms. After all, even Jesus himself declared, after that woman was criticized by the disciples for having wasted valuable perfume on the feet of Jesus, responded " The poor are always with us." If you use that usual banal cliche "why wasn't it spent on the poor?" well then virtually nothing that is uplifting and long lasting will ever be built -nothing! Why do people expend so much on beautiful gardens? The tourism income generated, over the centuries, of great sublime projects like this one, has been paid back the original cost probably ten times over. Imagination deficiency problem detected!
