Its a fastner clip from an aircraft cowling mate. It would be rivited with 2 rivets in the holes you showed and on the other side it would hold a fastner. Also known as just-fastners or quicklocks. A sort of screw that you have to turn 1/4 to lock into a catch. Im a helicopter engineer and i know them from our Sikorski's that still use them today. Happy hunting bro!
14:15 Turnlock Fastener, possibly off a plane. They are used to close up panels on the aircraft. The two small holes would be where rivets are put through to fasten the tab to the aircraft.
22:32 after all my research, it is part of an Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. It came from one of the motors called Allison V-1710-39 V12. That’s one of the 2 motors that are on the P-40 Warhawk. It was the meaning(bedoeling)(geen idee hoe je ik Engels schrijft) for extra hold(steun) on the motor for staying on the plane! Or it could be one of the machine guns on the plane, called: 6 × 12,7mm-M2 Browning-machineguns. Also for holding the weapons steady on the plane! The thing you had in your hands, is very unique! That’s a small peace of a plane, but a big discovery! I hope this would help! Greetings. Rob van Belgie✌️
Fantastic Day and the best Findings for a Hard work... You deserve the "cool fruits" of a hot Day... 🤗👍🏻 Thanks for sharing and always nice Findings again 🤗👍🏻
Nice Lieutenant bar. They were made of sterling silver hence the sterling mark on the back. Usually the solder holding the pins on is fairly strong. Good find.
Nice video love the first LT bar en belt buckle I have also problems with mine pin pointer that he Peeps when no metals Are around and I have to hit HIM to keep HIM quiet Good luck next time
Hello Nick, that looks to be a pretty great spot for detecting. If there was a plane go down there you should come across airplane parts or debris do you think? Awesome video!
Yes, it's a really interesting location! I did, i found a lot of aircraft parts there, from planes, but also from a V1 Rocket! There is a big crater where the plane crashed, i will go there some day again to search for more aircraft parts! Thank you for watching! Gr Nick
Waar kom je eigelijk vandaan lijkt me geweldig om met iemand te zoeken die net zo veel voelt voor de geschiedenis als ik hopelijk is het mogelijk om ooit samen te zoeken
Helo again ! Honestly...I didn't realize when this video got to an end...! ;-/ "Heavy" vegetation (THIS 'kind' of vegetation looks similar to that from "my" location/zone...;-/) and not a soft weather ... but...another great expedition/exploration of the WW2 places/relics ! Better angry birds (...magpie ?) than angry insects...! ;-)) Those M1 Garand clips...and the other WW2 relics...could indicate the place/zone of a...heavy firefight...?? British (rimmed) .303...Lee-Enfield or Vickers MG ? Not long time ago I found a 'destroyed' 7.92x57mm Mauser round: the only "thing" I could read from the headstamp was...P315 / S* (I know...brass...) . And, indeed...that 'First Lieutenant bar' is the "diamond of the crown" (maybe that officer belt buckle is from the...same person...?!) !! ;-/ All of these...together with the (german ?) bullets, US foxholes and rations ("just" rations but also awesome WW2 relics...) and... could give us the "picture"/"movie" of a US defensive position AND a...heavy firefight ! This location (where you also found THAT dog-tag of US Benny Bellamy soldier...?!?)...I think...it 'deserve' more...attention ! ;-/
Haha, thanks! Yeah.. i don't like all those plants.. more plans means more insects! Haha, indeed.. might have been a woodpecker! Indeed, British.303! :) Nice, p315 = Märkisches Walzwerk G.m.b.H., Strausberg bez. Potsdam, Germany! Yes, that Lieutenant bar is amazing.. belt buckle could be from the same person indeed! There was a little bit of fighting there, but most of it was just waiting there to go to the front. I've never found a lot of fires shell casings there. Yes, i will go back there soon as possible! :) Gr Nick
hi great video i just got a WW2 german dog tag and i cleaned the dirt out of it,i know this will sound silly but is that ruining history if im taking the dirt out?
Awesome awesome finds love the lieutenant Pin and the US Belt buckle never found either of those 😀 😀😀 I also got bitten by an ant while hunting it was just awful and painful 😫 Were I live we call them pee ants 😂😂

WOW!That American bar it's a very nice piece of history.Congratulations!Would be nice to make another giveaway and maybe win something...like a shell casing.Because my "collection" it's small i only have 3 shell casings,a MG 42 ammo box, a romanian VZ 24 bayonet in a bad condition,a Mauser K98 bayonet that i tell you in a previous video,(i cleaned it and it's very shiny,i cant still see the eagle stamps on it),some romanian coins,a WW1 shrapnel tube and a square piece of rubber marked 1943(don't know what is it) and that's all. P.S:Nice bird 19:43

Nieuwe batterij in je pinpointer en het probleem is verholpen.
