I think I found your American soldier Bennie Bellomy. He was KIA in Belgium in 1944. He was from Wood, Texas. That is his dog tag you have. Treat it with honor my friend. Also, the dime was probably carried and used as a screwdriver. We still use them for that in an emergency.
Im livinf near Raatteen tie, so if i ask for the landowner i can find those soviet Guns and propably finnish stuff but there is Way More soviet deaths In here. Like 23k and finns 2k.
Just awesome and as always a great adventure for us to enjoy. Thanks for sharing and keep cool out there in the warm Fields.Greetings from WW2HistoryHunter
Hello Nick!Very nice finds the unknown parts you found are from a tent pole and from the adjustment cord on either side of the pup tent, and the glove remnant is WW2 American from the utility Gloves I found a complete pair very deep in a foxhole in some clay years ago the cotton was gone but the leather was Immaculate they were made of 5 separate pieces if memory served correct...
Crazy how when you dig in continental Europe you just find all kinds of stuff. "Oh look WW2 ammo cans, ah some Roman villa roof tiles, ah a couple of 18th century musket balls, oh look a ww1 bayonet!" etc...
Groetjes, Jeroen
The short clips that you edit along with your finds make so much more personal. For instance the button. Seeing that it came from a winter coat where they wore it in the freezing weather. Besides trying to survive from the enemies bullets they had to deal with the harsh weather! 🗽👍 🌎
Groeten Bram
those gloves you find are quite possibly 60's or 70's , closest examples I can find are from Korea and Vietnam conflicts , so they may have been lost or discarded during more modern training exercises
History Secrets, I think at 13:30 and at around 17:20 you found parts of the poles for the US Army’s half tent, also known as the pup shelter. 13:30, the piece that’s top right, looks like it has some wood fibers on the bottom and a metal cylinder sticking from the top goes into the metal grommet of the canvas tent and holds the two halves of the tent up off the ground. Around 17:20, I believe that metal column is what would be the conjunction of multiple poles put together to get the desired height of the structure. This is usually 3 poles high. I know this Becsuse in 2016 when I joined the US Army, I used a tent very similar to what would have been used in the world wars.
Also, at 13:30, the metal things with a hole on each end is a hinge and the pin you found was what went through the holes. A pole was attached to each end and the metal cylinder at 17:20 was slid over the joint to keep it from folding on itself. This is so neat, I’m glad you shared!
I love this video! Thanks for sharing such exciting finds with those of us who wish we could be with you! By the way, the Mercury dime you found is still a great find in the U.S. today. Looking forward to the next one, Nick!
Nice expedition, dedicated work, various and interesting WW2 relics...as always ! ... ;-/ 8:11 : piece/part from a pistol (maybe a Colt M1911A1...or...?) ? Indeed...personal things (WW2 relics...) have a special...value, they are simply special ! ;-/ The story behind that object is "pushing" us to try to find the long way back to what happened there... ;-/ (who knows...maybe those were personal things of the Bellony US soldier...) . That german mine...and that (only one !...at least until now...) 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge case...hmm...!?! Again...I think that place / area still has some 'stories' to tell about what happened there in the Second World War...
Thank you so much!! :-D Looks like a part from a pistol, but too bad it isn't.. Yes, i really like personal items, totally agree with you!! Indeed.. something happened there.. was someone killed.. who?.. Yes, it's a really interesting, sad and mysterious forest! Thanks for watching! Gr Nick
Nou Nick je bent zoals gewoonlijk weer een bofkont fantasties je video toch wel lekker dat het alle maal te vinden is bij je in de buurt ik wacht weer met smart op je volgende filmpje👍🏻😃
Nick some absolutely brilliant finds. Congratulations on how your channel is going hope you can hit 10k subs before the end of the year. What do you do with your finds? Do you make any money on you tube and if you do do you use that to get metal detecting equipment or to preserve you finds. Love your work plz continue but plz try to upload more frequently like 1 vid a week I and many other people would really appreciate it. hope your having a good day
Thank you so much, glad you liked it!! :-D Yes, would be awesome for sure to hit 10k subs! I keep my finds, and never sell them, they are really special to me :) I would definitely use the RUclips money for my hobby.. but it takes a while before RUclips really starts paying ;) I'm trying to upload much as i can, but it's a lot of work.. i have to go to locations.. find stuff.. clean it.. film it.. edit, render, upload etc etc.. Thanks, you too! :) Gr Nick
What you found at 7:54 was a german experiment thant did not have success in the war which was the experiment of a 90 degree barrel to shoot around corners and they also experimented with barrels that shot at a 45 degree angle. Search it up on google.
Again a very nice video!! Awesome trip like always. I want to stay 2 weeks in zandvoort, and take my detektor with me. How is it in netherland, do i get in trouble for metal detecting? Or do i need a licence? Keep on digging, bro 😎 Greetings from germany Karsten
Thank you very much!! :-D Cool man! Metal detecting isn't a real problem, and It's allowed to detect on the beaches at zandvoort. Detecting in the dunes is forbidden ( protection of nature ) Gr Nick

Gr Nick
Cool finds indeed, I hope you'll get some nice roman coins there aswell, I just keep on finding them( in case you haven't seen my video but I haven't checked in a few days since I was on vacation in Brugge :D) and yeah the WWII finds were really nice, unfortune that the ZZ35 is exploded, the one I found was like new inside, and thats not just unfortunate for you but also probably the person whon triggered the fuse :D Gl&hh Luis

pigasus1, a still of the dogtag from This channel has been posted on PFC Bellomy’s Find-a-Grave page. Killed in the Battle of the Bulge Dec 10, 1944.
Matt Kustom Kostumes thats amazing. Idk if he’d have any family left alive but if he does I’m sure this meant a lot to them.
You're so lucky you live near WWII battlefields- if I did, I'd be out there searching all the time!

WW2HistoryHunter you kept this stuff
70ish years ago a soldier lost his ring and thought “damn my wife is gonna kill me.”
If he even lived to tell the story
10:51

Omg that part was SO funny lol🤣🤣
From now on we're calling this forest "bennies mythical forest" it just has so much historical and personal value....

My dumb brain: “pinnng”
Everybodies dumb brain “PINNNG”
That red thing is a smarty candy!😂
Those roman roof tiles where at that spot during and even long before the battle of the bulge! Really really crazy, if you think about that.
You should put the ring on and see if you turn invisible!
I thought the same 😂
