I was walking on a path near a castle in Salzburg and spotted a coin on the bottom of a hill next to where I was walking. Picked it up thinking “Oh a Euro. I can buy a soda or something” turned out to be an Austro-Hungarian 20 Heller from 1895 lol.
Man. The amount of killing that went on in Europe is staggering. Centuries and centuries of violent history. This videos make me really sad. Thank you for uncovering this.
That’s crazy man! I’m in America, and on my grandparents property there’s a range from WW1 that the troops trained with rifles on. I really only find 30.06 rounds and that’s about it other than some wire and a few fired cartridges.
Yes, it was a really cool experience! :-D Oh, that sounds really interesting.. maybe there is still a dump out there that you haven't found yet! Gr Nick
I wonder if that was a position that the Germans abandoned with those cases of ammo left behind, or if those cases of ammo were buried on purpose? I love your videos and look forward to the next one 😀👍
Hi Nick, love your videos.A lot of awesome finds. I found a Mauser K98 Bayonet without a detector because i don't have one.I dig a hole to plant a small tree and found it.Love WW2 relics.
Hello Digger 🤗👋🏻 I know about this crazy feeling to get a very big Signal... So i found them not buried in little packages... It was a whole ammo box, full of k98 strips, stg44 strips and in paper packed mp40 ammo.... A hard work for the authorities in fact and i really more like the big signals where, for example, about 10 iron crosses were dropped (no story, real happening). So i wish you for the next great Signal, a couple of dropped badges. Nice Video and i wish you good luck for more huntings and always nice Findings 🤗

Hello Nck, that is quite an ammo dump. The most Ive ever seen in one hole! Something must have happened and they got ditched. They did seem to be really deeply buried dont you think? Do you suppose they were left on top of the ground or buried in a trench or foxhole?

Which rifle is that ammunition for the lebel?
Wat heb je met de kogels gedaan?
Terug gedaan meegenomen of aangegeven bij de EOD ?
Aangegeven bij de politie :)
Gr Nick
History Secrets Oké! :)
What happens to live ammunition after its handed to the police?, is the primer removed, if so are the rounds then donated to museums or sold off?
Old ammo like this will be handed over to the police, and will be destroyed. .
Sometimes they are deactivated and saved.
Gr Nick
Did you try firing those rounds?
Arya probably not it’s very dangerous to fire anything from ww2 or ww1 that has been dug up
@@ryannugentthe idea alone, that some ww2 ammo is capable of exploding now is exciting isnt it😂
Arya yea
I’d say more so explosives rather than ammunition but I still wouldn’t recommend loading them up into a rifle and attempt to fire it
How are you moving these rounds?
I do metal detecting as a hobby but i don't know where to look, how do you find you're spots?
I just go into an old forest and start detecting, see what i can find :)
Most of the times it's being lucky, close to big cities and borders.

Where was this filmed? I mean how the heck did you find Dutch, American and german ammo along with musket ammo?
were is this?
Will the bullets explode?
Maybe if you throw them in the fire
Do you sell these since they are old
I wish I would have your luck 😉🙃

19:47 appears to be a flange for some type of knife or dagger.
Indeed.. mysterious item! :)

Veel gevonden veel mooie dingen pas wel op met al die life rounds
but what exactly are live rounds like you mean loaded with gunpowder?
Rounds that are not fired :)
History Secrets yeah true dumb question because i have one live round and should i keep it or give it to the police 🤔
I have a feeling those balls are not from a musket but more likely a shotgun, looks like about 36 call anyway, the seams in the bullet affect concentricity and would be undesirable even to musket users, with what little we knew of balistics back then, we did know that.
How do you find that
Awesome video again. I hope it wont take long till your next☺

Why did soldiers drop ammunition?
Can the Live Rounds Explode
Ok. What are musket balls doing in this discovery?
They were not found in the same hole :)
The ground where they fought in WW2 is old, so that's why you can also find old stuff from before WW2.

Live rounds? 7,5 French M24/29 for MAS 36 rifle and M24/29 MAC LMG.
Why are there musket balls on a ww2 battlefield? Was there another war that had a battle that took place there?
The ground where i find WW2 relics is much older, so that's why we can find stuff from long before WW2.
