I remembered there was something about Porter from Season 1 but I couldn't recall what it was...
But when they referenced this I was like oh yeah damn it, I forgot how suss he was!! Lolol. 😂
I when you watch this again, Brennan looks a little relieved when Murph took Emily's attention away from Porter in that moment when he didn't look surprised at the cafeteria part. Lolol. Soooo good.
Also wasn't the corn cutie stuff never resolved in the end? I can't recall. I mean it didn't link to Kalvaxus in the end... Did it?? I can't recall now. If someone could refresh my mind on that part please that would be awesome 😅 lol

I'm not even mad, just simply elated. I forgot to be actually suspicious of Porter, bc of the ongoing jokes by Emily of him being a bad guy. This was played so well
Guarantee the cadence on that "make on insight check" from Brennan subconsciously fueled Emily's irrational distrust of Porter for the rest of the season. No idea if that was intentional on Brennan's part, but if not, I bet he had no idea that this would lead to a season-long wild goose chase
... i mean, that and "he wasn't surprised" strongly implied he expected a fight in the cafeteria.
In hindsight porbably because it's an adventuring academy and crazy shit happens where people die all the time, but that was a pretty strong indicator.

@@MenachemSchmuel now… I could be wrong, but isn’t there a class feature of barbarians at a certain level that they can’t be surprised? I know this isn’t how that’s ordinarily applied, but in a world where classes are a real thing it wouldn’t surprise me if barbarians’ faces also don’t register surprise

@@tim.noonan From my understanding, they would have been filming ACOC and fantasy high: sophomore year roughly at the same time. So whatever happened in ACOC would have informed fantasy high. Some fans have theorized that Fig's suspicions were related to Calroy.

At this point I don't know what I want more out of Junior year; Porter continuing to be completely non-important to the main plot or for him to be a secret big bad that comes out of nowhere
Maybe somewhere in the middle just to screw with Fig. He's got the worst luck imaginable, and keeps accidentally being exactly where bad things are happening.
I feel like if he is gonna be the big bad, it has to wait for senior year, and that he’s really been behind all of the other shit going down every other year.

@@lucasgray1492 Last time I check they didn't say they are 'planning' season 3. They said something more like "we have an idea for season 3", so no one really knows if it is in production or not.

Got some bad news for ya, buddy...
Brennan manages to spin little tales out of tiny details he sees the players latch onto. I think that porter will come back if theres a third season and turn out to be the most nicest guy ever and fig (possibly with Aydas help) will have no choice but to say, "I trust you"
Or better yet, we find out FH Senior Year that Porter is the Big Bad and Fig gets to do the biggest I TOLD YOU SO ever....

Honestly, I was thinking either he or Jace might wind up being the person who smeared Sandra Lynn's name.
There IS something suspicious about those two. Remember the night Raugh met Kalina? Well, Raugh said Porter gave him some special barbarian healing even though Raugh specifically said he wasn't all that injured. I think during that "healing" is when Porter and Jace intentionally infected Raugh with the Kalina plague and that's why he met her that night. After he accidentally found Adaine's mom talking to Jace, they had to make sure Raugh stayed quiet, so they gave him Kalina vision.
@@lazychickqueen4734 Ragh literally had 1 hit point for the entirety of the fight after the Bad Kids had a long rest. Riz healed him with a healer's kit and that's the only healing he received. He did not get a long rest with the rest of them. He was incredibly injured but he was downplaying it because that's his character.

I love that Emily probably doesn't genuinely believe Porter is actually a bad guy but sticks with it because that's what Fig would do.

I know it's kinda unrelated, but I totally forgot about "THE ROCK GOT LIKE, SAD, OR WHATEVER", and I fucking love that line. Getting improv actors to play DnD together was a genius move.
I have a theory about porter. So in season 2 Gilear and fig are talking about Sandra Lynn, and Gilear mentions Sandra Lynn’s old adventuring party that she left Aguefort to go on a campaign with. She had a love triangle with a married couple (classic Sandra Lynn) and then was kicked out of the party and then fig asked if she knew the person who did that and Gilear said it wasn’t his story to tell but hinted that fig knew the person. Now I’m not saying this person was porter but god it would be a good plot line. Cause fig just always had a feeling of distrust. And he might feel guilty for kinda blacklisting Sandra Lynn from any new parties so he’s making it up by being nice to fig. Even if they don’t do a next season I hope they have a huge q&a wrapping stuff up lol

I had 100% forgotten that Fig had a run in with Corsica Jones (about the security crystals) and that if she had only asked the right question or put 2&2 together that one of the missing kids was a "Jones" or WHY Corsica wanted those security cams up and not damaged...
