- One of my favorite running jokes in all of Fantasy High is Fig's "relationship" with Goldenrod... I mean Goldenhoard.

the fact that the twist of goldenrod being bad could have been very impactful if one of the heroes had gotten attached to him but instead they just flirted and belittled him so they felt no pain in killing him and literally took a nap while doing so

Also he has to keep up the Maskerade even once he’s released from Arthur Augefort! He had to fulfill the whole thing before he revealed himself or else he would be super dead.

They technically went to aguefort first and then he killed himself so they had to find someone else. I feel like Brennan maybe was leading them there.

I like to think Goldenhoard being the Big Bad wasn't originally Brennan's plan, but Fig gave him so much shit he became the only logical choice to want to destroy them all.

i LOVED how fig and goldenrod talked, the whole student teacher love thing, i was crying...
What I find interesting is that Goldenrod correctly wondered if Adaine has a medical condition (anxiety attacks) 2:53. The Big Bad, someone who hates children in general, still is more aware of her condition than her own parents.
I feel bad about thinking Fig’s behavior towards Golden Hoard is so funny! It’s terrible and would be a nightmare in real life, but somehow it’s just comedic here.
Some of these interactions are cast in a different light after the finale.
Can you imagine if he wasn't the bad guy? We would have him being flirted upon by Fig and feeling very uncomfortable for the whole second season. This and Gorgug's "are you my dad" thing was the funniest thing
goldenhoarde actually acting like a predator putting fig under the frightened condition was such an eerie detail
I love how well goldenrod really played the “frustrated vice principal” character before being revealed as the big bad
