A trucker helping another trucker ahh that's the way it was in the old days. Now its dog eat dog ever one for his self these days.Good deed my friend GODSPEED
I wish drivers were still that courteous. I'm a new driver and I didnt know any if the companies so I started driving for Swift. I could never get anyone to help me simply because of that. Most drivers just want to bitch about Swift but they don't offer any help if they ever ask.
It don't have to be that way. I helped two drivers the other night chain up so they could get over Bozeman Pass. Neither one knew how to chain up. I helped them and never took a dime. We still help each other out here in Montana.
Bud reefer in a Kenworth....drop and hook, gotta love it! You're the right kinda trucker, humble, and helps a follower driver with load locks. Pay it forward American Truckers!!
When I used to drive trucks I kept a handheld gas powered stihl blower in the sidebox or under the sleeper. Anytime I had to do a trailer sweep out I just crank that blower up and blow all of the dirt, dust and debris out of the trailer in a minute or so. Super fast and always got the trailer way cleaner than a broom, which uses up your energy as well.
Found this by accident...dont know why but that was a quick 30 min. A+ for the load bar gifting. Pay it forward my man. Tomorrow I'll buy the next guy in line a coffee for that. Also, makes me wanna start truckin'.
Brings back a lot of memories, but I was never lucky enough to pick up in the day time. Most pickups were 2 or 3 am. Picked up a few times when the temperature was 0 or below.
You are such a Gentleman JBG, By giving that guy your load lock. Me and the guys at work see your videos on are lunch time all the time,Please say Hi to all the Mechanics at City of San Diego Miramar shop for me. Thanks and GOD Bless You.
i drove trucks when 13 years old by watching my dad and uncle i'm 52 now and i love your videos so keep them coming (JBG)..my handle is the BONECRUSHER from Fayetteville Nc You are a great person so keep them videos coming my friend.. be careful and be blessed
I was there in 1977! Inside the warehouse the forklift driver had hollowed out a little lounge right smack in the center of stacks of product. He pulled a triple-stack (maybe4?) out of a seemingly innocent row of product, swung 180 and invited me inside. He then backed into the space so the OUTSIDE looked as seamless as it overdid. BUT inside, there was was a cooler of beers, chairs and a table. Cold Bud was served-up fresh! The good old days. This certainly rivals "The Beach" inside the GM Camaro/Firebird plant in Van Nuys, Calif. Fact, not fiction, fellas!
First time watcher .. very impressed .. I have uncles ,cousins and friends who drive a big rig .. with out you guys the world wouldn't know what to do .. Thank you .. and please be safe !!
I love your video man I am thinking about getting into trucking after my contract ends in the military and this gives me a lot of insight into how it is. Thank you.
great setup for backing that trailer. We use peoplenet too I love it :). I've been off for 2 weeks for xmas, I already miss driving. Never thought this would be the case a year ago lol
New subscriber have been watching both you and Long Haul Larry for some time now.. Although I did drive an 18 in my younger days, I worked 34 years for the EL, CR and Norfolk Southern Railroads. With all the regulatuions you have to put up with, I don't know how you do it!!
I enjoy your video, I'm laid up and not driving because of a hernia operation. I miss driving, but thanks for doing this. I would team with you if you ever go otr hard.i love the Lord too. Bless you brother!
I agree if Budweiser wants a clean trailer for their beer, then they need to have a washout service, they can charge the companies less and do it right there, for five minutes of work they can be like the airlines and make millions on unneeded charges. Go Blue......
I have done this 100s of times.. One of my favorite loads.... @ 14:07 ~~~ Dynamic Transit's dark red Peterbilt coming in .. The last company I worked for..
I remember the first time picking up a load here. I had to leave to fill the tractor with fuel and sweep out the trailer. It was busy that day and took a long time to get out of there after live loading.
Bonnie Hamilton thank you for everything Johnny B Goode love your videos keep them coming thanks so much for all the time and effort thank you have a merry Christmas
Brian but it’s true, he’s a gent for sure but come on man, what would you explain to me when Dubai, a desert, Egypt, a desert, all of a sudden gets snow fall??
Brian morons like you are the reason the name changed to “climate change” the numbers add up. You should know how much numbers matter if you know GCWR and GVWR you definitely should look in on the numbers for climate change you special snowflake
I drove over the road across North America and always helped a fellow driver who needed help. I needed help a few times and always tried to repay the favour. Us drivers need to stick together when away from our families and loved ones!
AB PAYS VERY WELL.. I used to know a lot of guys that worked there .. used to you could drink beer on the job thats the brewery workers.. they would be drunk every day.. now I think they let them take home so many cases a month or something
Thats great bro. Can I suggest that you stay out of debt and put some money in the bank? Driverless trucks will be here very very soon and you dont want to get caught with your pants down (financially) when that happens.
I’ve thought about being a truck driver but don’t know if I got that in me but one day I think i will try.... it does look like a beautiful day , I can’t wait for the sun to shine on me and the rain to stop pouring ...
gotta love Budweiser!! have to drop empty, come back to gate get Bobtail WT, go back get your loaded trailer, bring that back to gate, verify ld locks, get loaded trlr weighed, and pray you are not overweight!! if so, you have to go back to a dock and get load re-worked. spent 3 hrs at one in Virginia. trlr was over loaded! been to st. Louis plant 3 times, in/out in 30 minutes!!
I agree 100 percent. Everyone should have the same routine.....landing gear down (check) pin pulled (checked) airlines and pigtails disconnected (check) lower airbags if needed or possible ( check) pull forward slowly and watch mirrors incase of the unlikely event the landing gear fail ( 1/100,000,00) chance, but it happens. Being a creature of habit makes for a safer driver.
Lower the air bags after pulling ahead a foot, dropping the air bags immediately puts unnecessary pressure on the fifth wheel and the pin. You might know this, just trying to help, safe travels☺
With both the trailer and the truck brakes set, that trailer is not going anywhere, especially in the few moment it takes to walk around to drop the landing gear. Some talk about good habits. IMO, paying attention to what you're doing each time is better than a mindless habit or routine.
Back when Arrow was still a thing...All of our equipment had their empty weights on the side. I'm sure they still wanted their own paper trail of the tractor weights, though. Plenty of times that I'd come into a shipper and they'd ask what my empty weight was and I could tell them at a glance.
That’s where I’m from St. Louis Missouri I live in Florida now I don’t miss it St. Louis I getting bad not like it was a good place to live in the first place
It is an ok place to visit, if you just go to see the Arch, Six Flags and i was fortunate, enough, to see/hear Metallica @ The Arena, in 1991 or thereabouts and a few years, later i saw/heard Neil Diamond @ a different venue. Good times, although, i was not raped, on either occasion, darn the lick. Rest, in pieces, The Arena. Cool venue and the Acoustics were great, but, the steps were steep, in that place. As steep or steeper than the Arch, it seemed like. Also, I-55 Speedway (Pevely, Missouri) is not to be missed, if in the St. Louis area. One of the best Dirt Tracks, either side of the Mississippi, in my opinion.
G’day JB and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 good to see and hear you again I have subscribed look forward to watching more of your videos kind regards John
i drove over 3 million miles without a preventable accident and only involved in 1 accident by being hit by a out of control car, no injuries. i was forced to quit driving july 2017 because of conjestive heart failure after 28 years of life on the road, i miss driving so much, i really loved to be driving down the road, so i moved to philippines and spend my time with my wife and little girl and soon our son will be here in april. be safe out there driver.
Pay it forward. I like that. But you know driver ain't travelling with $4...or even $10. But, with people you like you, he has every opportunity to learn.
Budweiser in Fort Collins Colorado require the interior of the emptied drop off trailer be pressure-washed.... pre-loaded trailer it is then weighed out on a digital readout scale... it gives the gross vehicle and the axle weight all at the same time!
Wish every driver was like you. You sir have all my respect.
Johnny is a Christian. He has to help another in need 👍🏽
Am most impressed the way you helped that driver out. You're a real gent.
John knows God will have his back no need for money!

Can u explain what abd why exactly he did that in the begining im confused
@@adonaimorton6782 What: He gave someone a load securing device.
Why: Because he felt like it and why the hell, not.
Who pays for those load locks?

My turn to be the old guy, all I had was a CB and am/fm. What a ton of electronics on the dash these days. Helpful I'm sure.

I remember taking a load of beer from Columbus, Oh. to Newark, Nj. in adry van. One of the best paying loads I ever had.
Hardly surprising, considering Beer is overpriced flavored Water, with a little Alcohol, in it.
Your a good man my friend. Everybody needs help sometimes. Glad to see you help a fellow driver!
One of the best truck drivers I've found yet!
You've got a great attitude. I'm not particularity religious so I hope this isn't offensive but bless you mate. World needs more of you.

NOT a scholar. Tell your denial of rising oceans to the people who are flooded out by the ocean. Stick to your driving and you'll do OK.

I like how you give credit to something that might not exist, instead of your damn Parents.
Man, it sucks so much has changed. When someone lends a helping hand now the default reaction is to pay them. Thanks for helping that nice guy
Boy I learn a lot watching you JBG

Landing gear is the first thing you do when you hit the ground for a drop. Never ever should a pin be pulled before the landing gear is dropped.
lol and then pulls up with landing gear down still.

You seem why to happy hanging around that Budweiser Plant JBG. Just saying.
Here comes the King, here comes the big #1 Budweiser.
Welcome to the oldest Budweiser plant in the USA, also some of the heaviest loads ever
It can only be so heavy with a tandem axle.
You made that backing look easy , I always do driver side and count 4 trailers and snake it sometime I make sometime i struggle
I never knew that any trailers on that lot had product in them. Been there 22 years and still learning.
In 1999 I made the million mile club twice now all I help is Lumber in Humboldt cal
So kind of you.
9:10 thanks for that trick! Will try that soon! Greets from Germany.

I always enjoyed picking up at that brewery.
I have 4 load locks and put 2 up and down that's what I did with coke it heals loads from toppling
Never been to BUD in St.louie but I have been to the one in Cartersville, Ga
I always hated that place; but, good on ya for helping that driver out. I would have done the same thing
I remember picking up from that place. Had to get re weighted so many times. They said come with a fill tank of fuel.
I hated checking refer units everyday making sure they where clean, 3/4 of fuel or more, and set temp 30 The main company was Butler
