Honestly the slope and angle to secure the timbers piece by piece give you little to secure you three to the building. There will be ample time. Dan build it on the ground clad it roof it and bring a crane in to fly it in place that’s the safest and fastest way to get it done. Stay safe! Dan 200 ppl agreed with me buddy!!! Be safe stay safe spend the money you only have one life and I agree with the lightening arresting idea make aure that’s integrated into the turret as it’s built. Talk to a professional about that aspect please you will need the correct gauge of wire and enough points of exposure to protect the structure there and all around the building.

Combined with its past of saving children this restoration has achieved an Historical level. It will be monumental when complete. Build the turret roof on the ground complete and hire a crane for a couple of hours and install it that way. Quicker and above all, much safer!
