Zac Efron should have had an oscar nomination for this role. He did the full gamut. Changed his voice, changed his physical appearance, changed his regular acting style, nailed the performance and the story was great to back him up.
I actually looked it up because everyone said roids but actually he had a car accident and had to have his jaw reconstructed the roids are definitely there but the drastic change is actually due to a serious injury
He's not black or trans
The "Oscars" are a joke. Hell all awards are a joke. If you don't fill a narrative, you get squat.

That fat face is 100% hgh. Its notorious for causing 'fat face'. If there was 'car crash surgery' its an excuse (I've never seen a jaw reconstruction cause a massive jawline, especially when you can afford the best surgeons available).
Saw this in theaters. Walked out in near tears by the end. Anyone that has been affected by suicide will find this movie hitting you hard.
I saw it in theaters as well with my brother. Afterwards, I saw one of those who watched it crying while coming out. The Von Erich story is one of the saddest stories in wrestling.
I cried watching this. I knew the story but can't believe it was real.

I agree, being A promoter should’ve been his second job after his fatherly duties. You should’ve told his boys to calm down and check up on them every once in a while.
Well in reality he actually had brain cancer and he took his life Kevin said this on dark side of the ring

There were 6 Chris, the youngest. Chris tried wrestling as he loved it but didn't have the build as his older brothers, so his wrestling career didn't do well. He d*ed by self deletion as well. Disgraceful, they didn't add him, just another slap in his face.
He was on the way to having the build of a smaller Kerry but with his asthma, I think it was, it caused him to injure a lot easier.
He wasn't added because the movie was tragic enough having 4 brothers die
I’m a man. Don’t cry for movies but shed a tear at the end of Logan. This got to me in a way I can’t explain. As somebody who has lost a brother it just hurt and got me mad and sad. Great movie if you have feelings and love a good story.
Logan was very emotional for me especially because i've watched him from the very beginning and grew up with him all the way to his final moments. I'm sorry for your loss, wishing you all the best 🙏
They should make more movies like this that deal with real life emotions.
I’m almost sad when men say they’re a man so they don’t cry… it’s 2024.
I cried watching this movie my older passed away in Oct 2022 from suicide it hurts so much its raw. My heart goes out to Kevin von erich it really does. The line he says at the end of the film it hits harder then any punch I have ever taken. "I'm not a brother anymore "

The Iron Claw was such a great movie that should’ve gotten multiple Oscar nominations.
Loosing a brother is something I can't even imagine, but loosing 3 of them by suicide that's something else. That will leave you a scar forever

Only knew about Kerry when he was the Texas Tornado feuding with Mr. Perfect for the IC title, never knew his story till I became an adult (foot included).
Zac is one of my favorite actors who came from one thing and proved they are capable of anything. What a wonderful performer who made something really special here, I hope to see him in many other amazing movies in the future!

Literally one of the best movies I’ve scene in the past few years. I’ve rented it twice on Amazon cried both times while watching with my family it’s so honest brutal and raw of a depiction how their lives must’ve felt while struggling in the wrestling business.
Loving the new format. Can see about movies you don't wanna see but wanna know whats it about.
But do be careful with copyright from studios. Many youtube channels have been affected by copyright strikes. Hope you are taking precuation for it.

The most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever heard Kevin say was when he said “I used to be a brother, now I’m not even a brother.”. I think for anyone who has a sibling and has had even a small scare where you thought you might lose them is heart breaking and you find you’re self thinking of EVERYTHING you need and want to say to them.

I only got one brother out of 7 siblings. Is something about being a brother, it's a different level of connection that's hard to explain. It's such a profound love that is damn near impossible to recreate

There were 6 brothers; Jack Jr, Kevin, David, Kerry, Mike, & Chris. Kerry, Mike, & Chris committed suicide. Jack Jr died when he was electrocuted & drowned, & David died overseas. I’m surprised Chris wasn’t mentioned.

My best friend took her own life because her father forced her to be an atlete when she wanted to go to a vet school. I never forgsve her father for that.

I remember when everyone was asking why Zac face changes and how is jaw line look different and he couldn’t tell people it was for this movie out of respect of this story. So he had to eat all these peoples comments

Scripted. The winner is pre determined, and they don't really want to hurt the other guy. The stunts are real though, and couldn't be performed by normal people.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I am aware of the real Von Erich family. What I don’t understand is the disappointment as if Pro Wrestling is real, and the fights and outcomes weren’t scripted?!?!?

Wrestlers are basically highly athletic actos that do their own stunts. Actors get Oscars and Emmys, while Wrestlers get championship titles. It's a way to recognize they're good at what they do and people like them.
