This show actually came out way before legends the first season came out in 2004 and the foutth 2009 then after one of the main characters "died in the show" it was over till 2017 when they came out with a 5th season and showed that he didn't actually die. Which is crazy because me and my uncle always believed they were gonna make another season and show he didn't actually die because in the end of the fourth season they never actually showed his body and when the 5th season came out 8 years later in 2017 we were so hyped it was my uncle's and I favorite show I have watched every episode and every season at least 7 times 😂😂R.I.P. UNCLE AJ
No way. I cant believe they used the Joliet prison in this show. My uncle lives like 10 mins away from there and the history behind it is awesome. Very good choice for a set!
Good thing the judge so willingly grants the criminal's request to place him in the exact prison he wants to be put in, or this would have gone very differently.

You'd be surprised. Prisons have Special needs yards (SNY) now & put rats, sex offenders, dropouts & anyone else they deem "unsafe" to be in a general population unit. There's tons of gangs now that have formed on those yards/units. In a general population yard though, you're right! Nobody like that would be IN a gang, let alone run one.
