My favourite ABBA song is one which isn't one of their most popular, it's also lead by Bjorn and Benny and it's called "Why Did It Have To Be Me". I would recommend it, it's so fun!
I had never been a really big fan of Abba's until my BF introduced me to them 30 yrs ago. He is a big fan of ABBA and the ironic thing is, he is a biker.
Yes! Love this! Love up tempo and upbeat! The girls voices sound so different here, really high. I think there is a synth mirroring them which makes it sound so different and cool.
Next ABBA suggestion: Thank You For the Music. Absolutely outstanding vocals, and it's totally unique, even by ABBA standards. It's almost Broadway musical sounding. Check it out, I'm sure you guys will love it!
Released in 1979 'Does Your Mother Know' was one of the first Abba songs to feature the Yamaha GX-1; it was Yamaha's first big polyphonic analogue synthesiser, and it was a beast! If you ever wondering how that rhythmic intro sound was produced - 1:30 onwards - now you know. Less than 10 Yamaha GX-1 were sold outside of Japan, one of which was owned by Abba.
A song about a seemingly under-age girl flirting in a club with an older guy, but acknowledging this and letting her down gently without being patronising or without judgement. Brilliant frim ABBA.
I remember when this song was first released we were doing a disco dance unit in gym class to this tune. I hated doing the dancing part because I was too cool for it, but I'd loved this Abba song and all the rest they were pumping out at the time. I never noticed what Does Your Mother Know was about until recently, many decades later. Fun fact: Abba started as a band with the two men, Bjorn and Benny. They brought their girlfriends in as back-up singers and the rest is history.
I DO REALLY LIKE ABBA AND ALSO THE BRITISH GROUP LIKE ABBA .......BROTHERHOOD OF MAN ...WHO ALSO WON THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST .........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what I love about ABBA. You never know what you'll get whether it's ballads, rock, upbeat pop, disco. They proved you don't have to stick to a certain sound, they covered all genres. They only thing you do know you'll get with ABBA is great catchy melodies
I remember hearing in an interview that when ABBA was first form, Bjourn was supposed to be lead singer but they realized the girl's singing together up front was gold!
SUGGESTIONS: Time for some 80's crazies suggestions again, here are my pick: - frankie goes to hollywood with relax, - dead or alive with you spin me around, (love this track) - pet shop boys with heart, - (Excellent music video) - marilyn with calling your name, Really hard to explain this genre of music but it was always my favourite even now.....they are still my favourite tracks from the 80's.
Love everything Abba!! I still think you need to hear "I Do I Do I Do I Do I Do"!!

Next ABBA suggestion: Thank You For the Music. Absolutely outstanding vocals, and it's totally unique, even by ABBA standards. It's almost Broadway musical sounding. Check it out, I'm sure you guys will love it!
ANYTHING from ABBA is awesome!! I miss the 80s - they were a very unique and fun time! ❤
Absolutely, but ABBA was 70s though
@@BRIDINC1972 That’s true!! Lol .. I think I’m like ‘Uncle Rico’ from Napoleon Dynamite - I’m stuck in the 80s! lol 😏😬👍
@@msgypsyqueen not a bad place to be stuck in 😊
You mean 70’s and 80’s
Think you’ll find they were 70’s,the very best decade for music.
I like the diversity of music you cover. Here are 2 that i think you should hear, one is "Time" by Coulture Club, and "One" by U2. Enjoy!
One of my favorites from Abba!!!
The thing about Abba, the most important thing, beyond the great songwriting and impeccable vocals, is that they make you smile.
Have you ever watched the movie MOMMA MIA? Not sung by ABBA but you get over an hour of ABBA songs. It is great.
I love the wide range of music y'all are open to listening and reacting to!
For another simply fun, goofy but also absolutely banging song by ABBA, you gotta go with their debut hit "Waterloo"!
A song you will love from the 60s is The Cowsills, the song The Rain, the Park, and Other Things
One of my favourite Abba songs! That bass, that chorus!
This is what I love about ABBA. You never know what you'll get whether it's ballads, rock, upbeat pop, disco. They proved you don't have to stick to a certain sound, they covered all genres. They only thing you do know you'll get with ABBA is great catchy melodies
It’s the Abba princip ,. Don’t copy yourself if you had a Hit otherwise you will be forgotten, well done ABBA
I remember hearing in an interview that when ABBA was first form, Bjourn was supposed to be lead singer but they realized the girl's singing together up front was gold!
Another AWESOME ABBA song. Please consider reacting to "Waterloo" next!
Second that.
Jay wearing a Duran Duran tshirt reacting to ABBA, well, it doesn’t get better than that.
SUGGESTIONS: Time for some 80's crazies suggestions again, here are my pick:
- frankie goes to hollywood with relax,
- dead or alive with you spin me around, (love this track)
- pet shop boys with heart, - (Excellent music video)
- marilyn with calling your name,
Really hard to explain this genre of music but it was always my favourite even now.....they are still my favourite tracks from the 80's.
Dancing Queen… the ABBA mic drop.
Rick Beato had a very interesting interview with Bjorn when he was in Sweden over the summer. A lot of talk about AI and music. Fascinating guy.
