Well done Lexx for sorting that situation out - I find Etsy Customer Services pretty unhelpful and every time I have needed them like yourself end up doing all the leg work to resolve the matter. The platform is attracting the wrong crowd I have had numerous issues the last year, that I never had before. I do not think I had a bad review from when I opened the shop in 2015 to last year now three reviews have really knocked the shop back - One for an item from another shop! One you could not make up was that the game I sent 'looked second hand' - it was a game from 1978 - they complained it wasn't new 🤦🏻♀One from a scammer who tried to do a Barclaycard chargeback - now thanks to them have a reserve on the account, Etsy don't give a **** about you getting 1 star reviews for all this. Some people using the site have no idea it is "supposed" to be handmade and vintage. It has totally lost its way......

" a few" is an understatement. These are scammers, it's their "job". They just didn't wake up like that today. You can also hold on to gold nowadays as the price is going up. Today he paid less than the value he can sell it in the future and surely this guy got more than a bangle from the site as he scammed others. Being kicked off the site doesn't mean he won't find a way back there or in other sites.

This used to happen frequently when I sold my vintage on etsy - one of the multitude of reasons I moved over to shopify.
Well done! I can't stand these people who try to con sellers on the ebay & etsy sites. They rely on bullying smaller sellers. So nasty when you are an honest person working hard to make an honest living.

I’ve had this on EBay recently, thank fully turned out ok for me but very time consuming and leaves a bad taste. Well done though.
Well done for staying one step ahead! I recently got some serious scam vibes from someone who contacted me wanting to buy a designer item through my eBay. They messaged me back and forth for hours trying to haggle me down on price due to some minor signs of wear visible in photos and clearly stated in the listing . I eventually agreed to a discount (but a much smaller one than the ridiculous 70% off they’d originally asked for!!) Then they said they’d pay me hours later when they had the money. Just knew it was going to end in trouble so stopped the whole thing before it went any further!
So much is feeling familiar with your story that now I’m wondering if your ‘Steve’ is actually the same person who has just moved on to eBay now!

ooo those law programmes you watch are having a good affect, I have a friend thats an ex lawyer she jacked it in as to stressful she now works at the charity Animal Aid i volunteer in! the things she tells me is mind blowing but its also nice if i need advice to! you have saved others from being scammed good on you, i like story's like this! some folk really try it on I should be more like you :)
