30 seconds into this video lubricate the oil filter has nothing in the world to do with lubricating the engine when the engine starts the oil pump circulates the oil through the engine lubricating all moving parts before the oil passes through the oil filter
Yep, fill that oil filter all the way full of oil, then turn it sideways to install it and pour most of that oil out all over the bike. That makes a lot of sense.
If you fill the filter to the threads and turn the filter horizontally to screw on you spill a lot of oil on your bike.
