Don't think so, I have a good friend that sells them. He posts a good number of new ones WEEKLY that he has sold. And he is only 1 of about 10 salesman there., He's doing great. The dealership I just got the latest one from (2 months ago) is moving them like crazy.
I agree, regardless of whatever brand you ride it’s kind of stupid to buy a new bike frankly. There are so many great bikes that are two and three years or even older with low mileage. You can buy at a fraction of the cost.
Yep. I just picked up a 2021 Street Glide Special. I probably saved almost $10k. I purchased my 1st two Harley’s brand new in the late 90’s. After that I only got used.
While I agree, I still keep an eye on the new stuff, and pray people buy them so I can have something to buy 10 years from now. I’m afraid the used market will suck in 10 years at the rate we’re going.

@DennisMerwood Triumph is doing pretty good, actually. KTM needs to get their things together but I don't think they will disappear as a company. Bad Management, same as Harley.
If Lexus Automotive said "We are no longer building Lexus cars, if you want a Lexus, you have to buy a Toyota, and make a Lexus out of it....and it's going to cost you more!" Lexus people are not going to do this, they are going to buy another luxury car plain and simple. Harley Davidson just gave the Honda Gold Wing, and the Indian Challenger a brand new customer base. If the Limiteds aren't selling, then the obvious option is to make less of them, or make it a special order from the manufacturer, but you don't throw away your flagship motorcycle. This is the same mistake Dodge is making with their Charger models.

@@JohnnyMan316 unfortunately this is the way of life. Everything goes up. I don’t think Harley increase prices just for the heck of it, but to continue to pay for overhead. I did 2 plant tours of Harley and not only are their employees are happy but the equipment is state of the art. Harley is a for profit company so the cost is passed on to the customer. I don’t know any company that drop the cost of their products. Take a look at Honda and Indian price increases.
I love my Harley’s. I also have a Goldwing and it’s a very uncomfortable bike if you have any height. Indian’s vibrate too much at highway speeds leaving my feet and hands numb when I get off them. Harley down the highway with 100,000 miles on my 2017 trouble free.
I doubt it, it is a whole different market with the young preferring retro, and sport bikes. Newbies are buying Groms. Unless HD decides to compete, they are toast or government bailout.
Unfortunately, with the number of bikes that are going into production now, it's not gonna be enough to offset negative numbers. I worked under contract for them, and i can tell you the quality of these bikes has gone down and there are many design flaws.
I just want to thank all the folks that buy these bikes new. I look forward to picking one up in a few years for pennies on the dollar with only a couple grand on the odometer and $10k in accessories.
You are quite correct. Purchased a 17 Road Glide brand new. 3 miles on it. Dumped 8K in accessories to try and make mine look different. Everyone does this. JD Powers valued my bike retail at 16K. All I could get for my bike that had 36K of money invested counting the 28K purchase price was 15K. I lost 18K on a bike with 4000 miles. Screw HD. Now I see Honda Gold Wings with 20K MILES, 5 OR 6 YEARS OLD selling for 20K easy all day long. They hold value. And this is a stock bike. No 10K in accessories.
I’m a retired Harley mechanic and the things that the public doesn’t know is unbelievable, there are so many warranty jobs that Harley made people pay for thousand of things that were paid for but should have been covered under warranty that’s just one thing the company did and there’s more you just wouldn’t believe they do and are still doing, I don’t know what happened to the company but they sure don’t care about the customer anymore, and they have priced me out of the game, no way I can afford a new Harley , it’s ashame but I’m done with them
Love you stuff. Just left the Valley Harley Davidson in Tridelphia West Virginia, was there for four hours. I got out the door on a 24 black/black road glide for 27,714. Again out the door. Plus a 650 gift card! I’m very excited to ride my first Harley this season!
For one motorcycle?? I bought 4 H-D in past few years for grand total of $10,600. All nice bikes and still own plus they are still worth what I paid or more.
I currently ride a '22 RG (love it!!), with about $35K invested (Bike, fees , taxes, and upgrades). I was considering moving to a '24 Road Glide. I had an opportunity to ride a '24 RG (rental) this summer, out in the desert in 106 degrees. I was very excited with the performance and handling. The bike never felt hot or over heated.. I went to my local HD dealer (were I bought my '22 RG) to talk numbers. The'24 with fees, taxes and cost of upgrades (intake, exhaust, tuner, amp & speakers), out the door was $37K. My trade in value was $13.5K. That's $20K negative equity. I am really struggling to justify moving to the '24. If I do pull the trigger it will based purely on emotion and the love of riding vs any sound financial consideration.
I have a 2019 road glide ultra that in a year will be worth some bucks lol only kidding I’m keeping my bike it is awesome and when the time comes I’ll look to buy another used bike with low miles and save 10 grand again.
I still feel that they should have like some sort of heritage line to where people don’t want all the electronic garbage can get just a straight up motorcycle
@@thelost_woodsI bought a police model. All the safety features and the 114 with no stereo. Dealer kept trying to upsell me because they couldn’t believe I didn’t care about infotainment.
Sad that Harley is doing away with the limited models. Harley is doing this, not because of sales, but to create another package for the Street and Road glides. They will come up with a limited package that when said and done will cost more than what it currently costs for a limited.
Harley should have never got rid of Buell- Buell, the company & the designer could have taken the company into the future (ICE, electric & sport bikes) appealing to a younger demographic, while keeping the Harley brand smaller & nostalgic. @@gordonwrichert8240 Erik Buell, is 74 I think. His former company, EBR was bought in bankruptcy going on 10 years ago. That owner got ahold of the Buell name again at some point and has been trying to build the brand back. He definitely stepped off in different directions with the cruiser and Baja. He is in the price brackets that are likely to stay limited sales. We'll see I guess. The cruiser sure got a lot of buzz so maybe it will be a hit. I'm fine with my old xb so not their target audience unless they also get ahold of the XBRR engine in a streetable form.🤤
They are out of their minds with the prices. Maybe they should start making all of their parts in the USA and be a real made in the USA motorcycle again.

@@walkingwolf8072 even if their interested young people can't afford to buy a motorcycle because homes are so expensive now due to many factors. Main reason being international corporations started buying houses off the free market a few years ago and even paying more than fair value so they could turn around and "lease" them to the government to "house immigrants" that are here illegally and legally. If you decrease the supply of any product there is demand for the price will go up fast. This helps illegal alliens and hurts all Americans. In fact what may bring about a surge of two wheels is that the four wheel options are starting to price themselves out as well but the two wheel options may freak many out as it's going to be the stand up type of scooters and not gas engine options.
been building up my 2023 FXST black(at no extra cost) A 2 INTO ONE Trask big sexy exhaust, a 119 C.I. from Screamin Eagle black engine accessories, had my dealer do the work so my warranties are Harley compliant and drag bars. What I wish Harley would make a simpler blacked out Breakout, no electronics to lower cost and less foreign parts. Would be nice to see a bigger RevMax in a soft tail style frame. Thanks for the news.
I'd like to see them do a m8 wide glide. Raked out like the breakout. Wide trees, 5gal tank in flames, normal 180 rear tire with Standards fender, some mini apes.
Im glad I bought my 2019 road glide special this year (bought it used with 13K miles on it). I looked for a long time before pulling the trigger. I wanted a very specific look and it couldn't be bought as a factory bike from Harley. That concept was a 2019 or 2020 Road glide special in Scorched Orange. It also had to have the tour pack and lowers added. I was specific that I wanted the Special because I wanted the blacked out parts, and also wanted the stretched bag look. FInally pulled the trigger in august and have really enjoyed the bike for touring. We put 5K miles on it in 2 months. As a bonus, it also had the Ohlins suspension front and rear, Klockworks windshield, and Stage 2 audio with minimal engine mods. Yay for me..I have no desire to move up to the 24+ models. I personally dont prefer the all digital gauge package. I like the version I have with the analog gauges AND the screen for map, etc. If they go thru with the concept of a base model Road Glilde/Street glide, and then "upsell the packages" I think its a win for the harley biz, but NOT for the people who want to buy them. Cost will go up to buy the bikes and package them they way they want, AND they wont get that back in resale later if they want to upgrade to a newer model. Just my 2 cents.
I don't know why some riders like black on black as a color?!? Are they trying to make the bike the same color as the pavement so they don't stand out?? Isn't it better to be visible in traffic?? And you pay extra for this "color", ya right!
Thanks for the shout out, I am hoping they don't change their mind on the Rev max price cut since the election and tariff talks a have heated up. My info on this came just a few weeks before the election.
The lowers were around many years before the water cooled heads. Lowers provide protection. I’m going to wait and see what happens in 26. If there’s no new limited I plan to buy a 24 Limited.

The really funny thing is that when someone predicts Harley Davidson’s demise, all you need to do is ask them for a date and to put just $100 behind it, and they can’t shut up fast enough.
Pricing and no limited are big reasons I'm keeping my 2021 Road Glide Limited. All the new tech is cool, however not cool enough to make me want to step up and buy a new bike!
I agree with some of the people in here start making our parts in the USA again what is wrong with that people in this country need to go back to work and stop working from home or living off the government
Not every job requires being on sight. Most production in the U.S. is run by a few highly trained operators and kept running by a few technicians. The old days of hundreds of people on an assembly line are long gone and not returning
@ that might be true for cheap commodity type items but not for quality precision parts. There’s a reason we’re all willing to pay more for precision engineering from highly union European factories
Don’t forget false profits are obtained by layoffs which are then tabled as increased revenues to boost their stocks from the savings of wages unpaid via layoffs.
@DennisMerwoodI hope this is sarcasm. My local dealer who I previously worked for and still have friends there, recently laid off 50% staff including 90% of sales team who are only commissioned based.
I've been riding for about 13 years now. I've had 4 motorcycles. None of them have been HD. Part of it is just that I tend to be contrarian, but mostly, it's been the cost that has kept me from pulling the trigger. It's hard for me to justify paying 30k for a HD when I could get a comparable metric for half that or less.
The limited isn't going to sell because they haven't changed to the new body style. Why would you buy a limited that looks like a 2020 model in 24 or 25. Now you have to pay more. For the add ons . To make your stg rdg look like a limited. BS!!
Because the new bikes are ignorantly ugly. I was planning on being on the market when i heard there would be a redesign, then i saw them. Im not at all on the market.
Maybe they need to focus on quality first. I bought a 2023 street glide. Had it 9 mos. Ive been riding 52yrs. No newbie. First thing the shifter broke off. Then even though it had nothing added from factory the charging system took a shit. They had it 2 mos. Got it back and the lights pulsed. Still charging issues. Kept it 3 weeks and got it fixed. Then I got caught out in the rain. Bike shut down. Turns out water was running down inside the fairing and shorting it out. The handlebars felt notchy in turns at times. Head bearing was bad due to over torque at factory. Still had factory bars so it wasnt me. I sold it at a loss. I didnt trust it to get more than 50 miles from home. Defeating the whole purpose of having a new bike. 1936 miles on it.
Maybe they should build their parts in America where they should be in the first place , I’ll keep riding my old bikes and don’t give a crap what HD does

What about the Tri Glide? Are they keeping the old front ends, or swapping with the newer? If they do change to newer, why wouldn't they with the Ultra's? My prediction..they will keep them all, but with 121 motors!
The new bikes handle and operates so much better than the Rushmore bikes and it just makes sense in my mind to be able to add the accessories to make it what you want I mean they already have the long haul package which has the sundowner seat and a bunch of quality of life stuff to do the long tours and with the King tour pack added on you have the option to remove it when you don't need it and those accessories come in right at the same price as a limited

I love the bikes and would like to get a touring model but the stick holding the carrot gets longer and longer going from just out of reach to forget about it. Hopefully the find a happy medium between price and value. I would have loved it if only they kept the Standard models of the SG RG and RK, shaving off some of the "gingerbread" would have helped to get more people in the door on the touring frame and they could have stood to have helped dealer service departments to make some money from the people who bought the Standard who wanted to add stuff like tour packs and radios and what not. My wife is still a little timid about riding with me, but wants to take a chance on it and I'd like a bigger bike, so a SG or a RK stripped down would have been a good start for us, but is all but off the table in the form of a new bike at this point.

Harley-Davidson this is what happens when you make the same bike every year there's only so many people that want to ride a cruiser turning sucks on them
Harleys have been expensive relative to the competition since the day they came out back in 1903, more or less. The quality is obvious, with the paint, powder coating the engine finish and the overall build quality. It reminds me of Porsche.
I haven't spend a single penny on anything Harley since the move to Thailand. I can get another brand since they are not made in the USA. Just an FYI, Indian dealers are offering way below market value on Harley trade in's because -- and I quote "We can't get rid of the Harleys that have been traded in".
We traded out of a 22 pan america once the problems started. The rev max was fun but the rest was a wreck. Bad wiring, buzzy engine, computer problems. The 23 fltrxst 117 we have now is a much simpler bike and a lot better to run. My infotainment system dont run my engine and that is important in many ways. I enjoy the ride after the new saddlemans seat that puts me more like a hiway king. Upright with enough footpad to get my legs behind the knee a bit. Very comfy with a slow engine pulling along. My 117 is not twin cool but I dont ride in heat and do not wait in stopped traffic so one less complication. With all the m8 issues fixed it is the last great air cooled road glide. But it wont last. Nobody will be buying it to fix up years from now. Every new bike is a tissue to be taken out, wiped on the road a little and thrown away. Every 24,25 etc is worse with the computer now running everything and harley keeping the tools hidden from regular people. If you can wait dont buy a bike for a while. If my RG had not lost half the value due to recent harley mistakes I would have listed it months ago. Thanks

Every manufacturer is going to be raising prices, not just Harley.

Screw HD.

They wouldn't have to be concerned about tariffs if they were still made 95% here in the USA, supporting the American worker instead of screwing us out of work. The other 5% was made by our friends in Japan. F Jochen the Destroyer.
Ahh them taking the ultra and raod glide and making it a package from what i seen it looks like they've been pushing that route this year anyway cause of the daytripper and what not thats been on the site not to surprising but makinging them close to 30k if not more cause of tax and all fun stuff no new rider or old rider gonna wanna spend that now days with how much everything is i own a indian springfield darkhorse i dont know if thier going same way but if so im happy i got it when i did cause i wont by another American bike for how high they are going anymore
And the bags full of budlight too
Answer me this. If H-D can bring a technical marvel of the PanAm to market and is a full size bike with all luggage for a competitive price even when made in USA, Why is the standard touring bike MUCH more expensive? A radio isn't that expensive to add and all of the R&D and tooling has been done for years..
The reason Harley isn't selling is because they've priced themselves out of the market.
Harley-Davidson this is what happens when you make the same bike every year there's only so many people that want to ride a cruiser turning sucks on them
Raising the price will ruin them.
Thanks
