God motorcycle jackets are never going to die. One of the best piece of clothing out there cause it makes you look so badass. I really hope this trend never dies❤😘
It will never die so don't worry. I still have mine that my mom bought for me when I was a sophomore in h.s. back in 1988 and it still fits and even better I would never get rid of it.
@@JoseCastillo-vi1pk I just bought my first Schott Perfecto last year. The brand Schott makes such quality jackets that on the yearly factory event sale I bought 3 more jackets aviator rancher trucker casual and of course the perfecto that I have become a collector. Love the motorcyclist style and it looks like an American revel symbol that will last for ever. if I can describe it with one word it would be QUALITY
Never even once mentioned in the video the practical purpose of the leather jacket and why motorcyclists wore them. They provided very good abrasion protection during crashes. If you slide on the road at high speed, a tight fitting leather jacket wouldn't tear through keeping your skin intact and protect from road rashes and scrapes. Todays they've evolved into 2 categories. Fashion motorcycle jackets and purpose build motorcycle jackets such as Dainese and Aplinestars which also have impact protection meant for race tracks and streets.
I am 6.5 ft tall around 220 Lb broad shoulders and long arms and 36 waist can’t figure out what jacket what is durable and life time lasting every day winter jacket to go for with schott 🙄
Random fact: There's a world record for the most world record titles. It belongs to Ashrita Furman, who's held more than 600 Guinness World Records in his lifetime, ranging from heaviest shoes walked in (323 pounds) to most baseballs held in a baseball glove (26).
It is strange that Schott is unable to acquire domestic leather. Doesn't the US grow COWS like crazy? - Late-stage capitalism logic? - Does export-prices price them out of market?
Ofc they can acquire it, they just choose to pay less for, for example, Pakistan leather. Same quality, 5 or 10 times lower price. Large part of their brand is made in USA so it would be a big hit to their marketing if they moved production overseas.
@@axeavier that's not the problem, that is fashion in a nutshell period. For example Levi's Jean's are great in every way. Slap a Parada Label on them and you can charge $500 more.
@@IceColdKilax When you have a high end label, chances are the stuff isn't mass produced assuming it's in a high end shop where you're paying 1k+ for anything. Levi's on the other hand are no longer what they once were. The quality is dodgy, sizing is inconsistent and they're made just about everywhere else. But that's neither here nor there. This jackets made here hopefully should last several life times, are made by people that hopefully are being paid well as opposed to pennies in some other country and are crafted with quality. You're completing disregarding all of that in addition to stuff like stitching, grades of leather and everything else.

We do but many can't afford
Nice

Geez that price for one jacket is enough to bike a used motorcycle, probably a jacket included
To be fair, its made in the Usa, it have good quality. You can't compare to fast fashion brands jackets made of plastic.
d3n true, but I could probably find that at a flea market tho
@@MandoThingz you probably would get bad craftsmanship and fake leather

The real question is how do we get Takayuki Yagami's biker jacket tho. The lapels on that thing so kakkoii
In 0:32 what is the name of the model? Is it 118 for men ?
Yes. They also have the 618 which is a slim fit version of the 118.
@@AlexanderMason1 thank you
It is the one star 613 because of the star and the under arm football gussets
@@chrisgarcia5091 no I just looked again this is definitely the 118. The 613 is way thinner.
The 118 has snaps on the collar and no star, it’s the 613 for men
