I've been terrified of playing Oblivion for years now because I'm worried it will sully some of my best memories endlessly playing this as a kid. These videos scratch my itch.
Yes, let's go!! Good to see you again! This is one of my favorite quests but in my first playthrough ever, I actually couldn't finish it for the longest time. There was a bug where if you used the Stark spell the game would crash. I didn't have internet back in 2006 so I couldn't update the game. Thankfully Bethesda eventually released a physical copy of Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine and along with it, I got the update that let me finish the quest.
Everyone is enthralled by Sheogorath, rightfully. But Sanguine and Clavicus Vile are clearly daedric princes you can get along with. I could even see Sanguine and Sheogorath trying to out-prank each other. And considering the player's equipment ends up in a chest I can totally see the stuff of the party guests be somewhere in the castle. Sanguine is more into the silly party fun without much harm.
Him saying "unless they are dressed for it" was the clue. If you put your character into fancy dress clothes it would have opened up new dialog to convince the guard to let you in. And that is a random "Daedra" not a random "Daedroth." The Daedroth is a walking lizard looking Daedra creature. I suppose a Daedroth is one of the possible Daedra that could be summoned though.
Sanguine's rose was bugged in my game, I managed to summon a limited number of daedra. After let's say 10th summon it stopped working even though it's been fully charged.
@@ShushkinSigh, normally you dress in the fanciest outfit possible, *with* jewelry to enter. The dialogue even hints at this. I had thought my joke was rather obvious.
@@mentalshatter Maybe, maybe it would have worked better verbally than text. 😆 Maybe it is just me not understanding English very well. I do my best and I practice everyday, however some sentences do confuse me sometimes.

“Looks like you are in some trouble. Since we’re friends I’ll look the other way and take care of that fine for you” 🙂
This was my first ever daedric quest with my first character, so long ago, but always a fun quest
It was a really fun one to play!

You live 😂 I was getting worried ❤
I’m here!! 😂 thanks for the continued support my friend! I appreciate it!
Bet the devs didn't think someone would just go past the door in the dinner party by just waiting till npc opens it. Even I didn't think of doing so.
Babe, wake up! New bard’s ballad dropped!
😂 love it!
@@ABardsBallad glad to see you back tho! Your one of my favs

So did you go back to jail after completing the quest and returning to the city? I paid the thieves to have my bounty removed but it didn’t work.
If you listen closely, you can just barely make out the crying of the Oblivion Clothing Artists and Designers.
What?

@@Shushkin Yeah, that and it doesn't help that I wrote that while kinda annoyed as, to me, dressing up is ¾ the reason for the quest. My bad (sorry).
😂😂😂 I like it!
