I'll be putting out an intermediate and an advanced version of this! Most of the detail will be in the routine page, but these will give examples.
Some of these videos are older videos I made a few months ago. That's why the style and camera quality is a bit different. Back then, I did everything on the front camera of my phone, hahaha.
Come to think of it, all of my most popular videos were done on my phone. What did I even buy this camera for?? Haha.
I’m a big fan of this whole progression. It feels incredibly fulfilling to make it to the next stage of each exercise. Thanks for all the content you make Hampton, it benefits so many lives!
I love your channel!
Youre like a cool sibling!
You are inspiring me to be a better human.
Much love! Keep doing what you do.
Hello my bro what part of the country you from 🙋♂️🤷🏼♂️
Hey Hampton! Can you please add how we have to maintain the breathing along with the workout?
Thanks in advance and Have a beautiful day!!
Who needs a coach when you got this fella
plot twist, he IS a coach! >:D
I KNOW RIGHT?!💙
I mean you are odin, you dont even need this fella.
So they can tell you if your form is correct... I think very important.
This dude is awesome, seems like the Real Life version of One Punch Man; even brushes off disrespectful or rude comments.
He probably has a better insult but probably holds his words.
"check it out, its free." Sweetest human being
So sweet that he steals most of his content from Paul Wade without giving him credit.
@@MR-yb8od Man! There is no copyright on bodyweight exercises. Most of these have been known for decades, if not for centuries. He is presenting them in a way people like, so no need to be jealous... I am sure your dude Paul Wade will be just fine...
No, there‘s no copyright on bodyweight exercises. But if you copy nearly exactly the same routine and make good money of it, then at least mention your sources. That is just fair.
@@MR-yb8od I credit him all the time, including in the routine page. I've also e-mailed him when the content was taking off and asked for his permission to spread his exercises to more of the world (because they helped me so much). He gave me his blessing and encouragement. I can show you the e-mail, if you like?
I have tremendous respect for Coach Paul and I've communicated with him off-and-on. Please let me know if I can give you more information on this.
@@HybridCalisthenics this response.. lol. You are so nice that it's becoming unreal.
Anyway, I guess that's what makes you you, but pls don't explain yourself to the likes of him (or anyone for that matter). Just not worth it
After having such a bad mental health spiral I found myself not able to even stretch. These exercises has helped me so much! I actually am able to walk around all day, jump and other basic movements i felt impossible when so low. Just moving my body, drinking water, eating well, and reading im doing okay which gives me hope. I'm so grateful to have someone who understands that you can't start out doing so much at the beginning. I have so much hope in my heart just because someone told me oh you can't do a push up now? No problem! Thanks I doubt he will see this but it has helped alot
That’s awesome 😊❤ so lovely to read this - I’m just coming out of a recent bit of depressive spiral myself, and hoping to do better at curbing or minimizing the next one, and knew that getting physically active again was probably an important first step. It’s so encouraging to find this guy, who seems genuinely interested in and able to help, and to see comments like yours that give me more hope for restarting my own efforts in a realistic and approachable way. From one periodically depressed internet stranger to another lol hope you’re still doing well ❤
You’re both doing great. Thanks for sharing. Love to you ❤
Me too 😊 found him encouraging and positive and chill also thanks to the two of u I know I’m not alone now 😊
I love these exercises. At age 71, these exercises are helping me so much. I love your attitude (no ego) and so encouraging.
Makes me happy seeing old folks caring about their health keep it up man health is the most precious thing anyone can own.
Nice, hows it going?
You now 72 and your doing his advanced one now

If Hampton was an anime Hero, he would be the kind old guy with a sad backstory, which trains the main character.
He is Saitama disguised as a chinese.
@@kingbassk83 was just about to say One Punch Man for sure
@@kingbassk83 Does this mean I'm going to go bald?
@@HybridCalisthenics haha. I guess you are wearing a wig (jk). But I really think your videos are inspiring, the only problem for me is the change.. from slacking to actually do something because I'm embarassed when my wife says:"what are you doing?" I can't say: "Saitama showed me...." More mental problem then physical. How do I overcome my wife?
@@HybridCalisthenics i think having long hair already covers the role 😂
"Do a wall sit for a minute or 2"

No but seriously thanks
But you did something, and that's great! 🎉
Lol I did the whole 2 minutes on my first day as a beginner
Same here
@@melodiczone4598damn bro nice job
@@melodiczone4598 People are different you could be already skinny or are just more athletic in general people dont realize just being a little active makes your endurance much higher than someone who sits most of the day.
I appreciate that you don’t just cater to advanced moves. I have a chronic illness and it’s so much harder to find exercised adapted to somebody with reduced mobility or fluctuating mobility
Fr. one time i was looking up bodyweight tricep workouts for beginners and almost every site had HANDSTAND PUSHUPS! HOW THE HELL IS THAT BEGINNER? I still can't do those
We all need a friend like you
You're wrong brother. We all do, right here. 😇
Gladly, we all do have a friend like him. He is Hampton :)

I’m fat- like really fat, and looking for a place to start the slow journey back to being in shape. This video is exactly what I needed to see right now. Thanks, Hampton! Have a beautiful day. :)
You got this, friend! It’s a new day and I’m happy for you!
Good luck! 💖
all love, all power my friend
Keep us posted on your journey Scott, you got this, with Hampton's coaching!!
You can do it my friend..
I love how accessible you make this, how much you focus on living well and being happy, how you push people to remember we’re all different and have different needs. I’ve never seen any fitness type person as inspiring as you.
Tomorrow marks 4 months for me with the routine on your website. Haven't skipped a day and that's probably the longest consecutive period of time I've been able to stick to an exercising routine. I heartily recommend it to everyone. it's made me feel a lot stronger, healthier and just all around better. Thank you for the amazing work you've done here!
That was motivating to read. Thanks for sharing!
Feel like giving us an Update? 😁
Any Progress ?
Sorry to disappoint everyone, I happened to get caught in a longer period of illness that I'm still recovering from which kinda messed up my routine 😅 right now I'm just going out for walks and fasting to keep my head in the game and managing my weight, but I'd definitely say that the time I did spend doing that routine made it far easier to get back on my feet and I'd like to get back to it again soon. I still recommend it just as much as I did 8 months ago.
@@zao6240 did you gain muscle ? Or lose weight?
i love the fact you always give backhand reassurance with the ''dont worry if you cant get down this low, work on it slowly'' too many people will try rush things thus creating injuries
This is the beginner positivity I need to get in shape! Love your content!
The first real beginner beginner workout
So true
Lucy Lismores "true beginner" at home workout is also quite good. She explains each exercise as she goes and it's a follow along workout.

Man the more I see your short videos, the more I appreciate the editing. Perfect cuts, very informative speaking which fits into each cut. Very good!
I'm really glad you like them! A ton of effort goes into them. This was an older video. I try to do even more on my newer ones :)
yhh
I've been doing this everyday for a few weeks and I already am seeing some great progress. I feel more confident, Thank you!
It started with your videos that made me realized I didn't have to be in top tier shape in order to feel better about myself. Can't quite explain it but you just have a way of transforming the ordinary into healing. 🙏🏼Grateful.
This is also a great warmup for more advanced athletes.
But at 67, I could do an easier version. What I can! Thanks Hampton!! 🙏❤🙏👵
Good thinking Sherryl! Maybe cut the number of reps in each set in half and start there? Good Luck! 👍
omg this dude has such a... a... like, gentle aura lol
It makes me so incredibly happy that you don’t say “if you can’t do it try harder” or make people feel bad about needing an easier starting place. You don’t make fitness unattainable or say people have to buy all your sponsored items to achieve their goals. I am definitely subscribing.
I have to say, I started following you about 3 weeks ago. I love how you give variations from beginner to advanced. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 No equipment needed. I go to the gym 5 days a week for a few hours a day. I’ve used quite a few of your suggestions to improve grip strength to how to get deeper squats! Thank you! And thank you for making it so ANY and everyone, who is without injuries, can start a healthy relationship with being active and stronger.
Stay positive and have a wonderful day!

Jokes on you I'm screenshotting this
Forgive my ignorance but what do these do to the body? I'm starting off by doing 20 pushups and 20 squats and lastly 1min plank every 3 days of the week to grow stronger and do more consistently but I'm confused on what to do now?
You seem like such a nice person Hampton, like literally just seeing the beginning of your videos can brighten up one's day :)
Yes Hampton, one day I hope to fill my life with friends like you 🙏
So freaking true.
I don’t even need workout advise but you seem like the chillest nicest person ever
You genuinely give me hope. I'm terrified of raising my son in today's world, but, you're a reminder that the good still outweighs the bad.
I love how nonjudgmental these workouts are and how accessible they’re made to be
im 16 now. i used to do these home beginer workouts now i mostly train mma with a bit of weightlifting and cardio.
What do you mean by resting I am also looking to strt
Do you do these everyday or have some resting days?
The world needs more people like you spreading kindness, Hampton :)
Oh man I’m so gonna use this. I am a composer student and when I get focused on a project my body functions shut off until it is done. The mentality being “I don’t have time to do this” or “doing that is a waste of precious time” so I’m a very schedule-based and time oriented person. It can get quite taxing and stressful when my body won’t let me sleep because I could be working. My psychologist wants me to set alarms to take breaks and my mum wants me to exercise more instead of sitting down all day working. Hopefully these simple routines help me take decent breaks!
I know it’s a while since this video has been uploaded but I am extremely overweight and hated working out but now I really want to work out because of this video so TYSM! Most people expect beginners to do normal pushups and squats for a while. You’ve definitely earned a sub!
I literally said "I needa start getting stronger and fitter" and like clockwork I turn on my phone and see this notification. God answers prayers😭
Dude I’m telling you it’s the FBI agent’s watching us, same thing happened here 😂
Not a coincidence that he's a follower of Jesus 🥰 lol
Same!🤌🏾💪🏾
I love this guy. He encouraged me to embark on a year of health this year. No goals, no resolutions, just small choices that will hopefully lead to gains by the end of the year.
Any progress? I expect if you didn’t give up you should have seen gains!
Progress?
I don't know what we've done to deserve you, but here you are, an amazing person !
Omg, dude, you stood up like it was nothing, didn't even use your arms! I haven't done that since I was a child! It surprised the heck out of me seeing you get up so effortlessly. Time to make a family workout routine! (Since I literally can't even go potty without an audience, kids are gonna be joining me whether I like it or not. They've been hanging over my shoulder watching this with me.) I just want to get to where I can stand up like you. I feel like a turtle if I lay down. XD you're like the Bob Ross of exercise.
May your heart be blessed and your hair blow majestically in the wind

youre such a wholesome dude. before i was really sad because im so fat and out of shape and all the exercises that were easy to others were so hard for me. ill definitely try these out, thank you so much
Just do as much as you can!!
don't feel bad abt it. You will get better slowly but surely. Just don't try to rush it for example eating way too little bcs u wanna lose weight. This will only cause problems in the long run. (:
thank you guys, it means a lot to me that you care
Good luck! Another good resource is Fitness Blender. You can filter their workouts (eg. "Low impact" category) on their website. They often show ways to modify common moves, like the easier way to do burpees, lunges, jumping jacks, that you can use in other workout routines.
I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia...but it took like 6 months of being in too much pain to move to get here. I need to rebuild my strength even though movement is still a bit painful. This is perfect! Thank tou, Hampton!
Did this man just get up without using his arms at 0:48 ?? Life Goals!!!!!
This is the type of guy who can convince the grim reaper to exercise.
This brilliant son-of-a-gun just stood up from laying down without the use of his arms. Mad casual like he didn't just pull a Matrix on his audience.
If you can hit the knee tuck target and do like 10 squats, it's easy. Use your momentum to go from a crunch position to a squat and then squat up. What's super hard is doing the kick jump by pushing your arms (that probably requires arm strength too)
im watching this at 4:30 am with coffe and cookies cause im about to start my day.... the cookie fell out of my mouth when i saw that 😦
Haha, I actually am learning to do that. It helps with pistol squat.
It's not too hard, I had to do that a lot when I had a broken arm lol
Subtle! I didn’t notice til I read your comment and had to go back and have a look! Impressive; no wonder he smiled when he was up. :)
I remember finding u on The App Which Shall Not Be Named, but I've since then deleted the app and found true happiness in genuine friendships. To this day, I still do some of your workouts that I saw on that platform. Thank you for your physical philosophies that have helped me find joy.
I think I've said this on another video before, but I just love your positivity. You just seem to genuinely care and empathize.
This is great! And I like the way you talk to beginners - or pausers that didn’t move a bone for a while. Not at all condescending or looking down to because you never know WHY a person became so lazy and a couch potato. For me it is a major depression since two years after the end of an emotional and mental abusive relationship, that I need to start fighting and try to get out of. Didn’t do any sport for two years, so my body is totally out of shape, minimal muscles. But this short clip motivates me to start slowly, bit by bit and get back to the me I once was.Thank you!
Hope things are going better for you now!!
i'm in a similar boat and despite losing weight, i have basically no muscle left! walking around more and going up and down stairs has been my go to, but it doesn't really work most muscles. i feel really sad about the time i spent on the sofa, but i had also fell into the depression after leaving an abusive enviornment. ik it's not a pretty thing to talk about, but i haven't found many people in the same boat!
Please check your b vitamin levels too. I recently learned deficiency can occur for many reasons and affect energy and neurotransmitters significantly. Also, 30-60% of humanity have gene variants that can impair conversion of synthetic b vitamins so important to get active form methylated b12 and b9 if those are low. I hope this helps someone.
I really like this guy. His info is so simple, logical, & smart. No over-the-top production gimmicks. And, he seems such a gentle lovely spirit. Beautiful nature...it shines right through. TY for the great pointers, Hybrid Calisthenics! The pull-up video helped me to FINALLY do a pull-up. 1st time in my whole life! Thanx!
