I've edited the description multiple times and yet, the link for Clu's video seems to keep taking some people to a DeadMau5 Masterclass advert. Now I will forever have beef against Masterclass for giving me this grief.

Burnout CRASH already exists, though I think it *might* have escaped the lootboxes, haven't bothered to check it since it's a weird top-down mobile spinoff nobody asked for.
I never understood the criticism of traffic checking. Weaponizing the cars on the road to destroy your rivals is so unbelievably satisfying, and you still have to dodge oncoming and intersection traffic, large vehicles, and level geometry. Burnout Revenge is like crack, and I wish it was on PC officially. I of course do wish 3 was on PC as well.
My favorite thing about RUclips, is how 2 different people can make a video about an identical topic, and have both videos be so very different from one another. This was a fantastic vid Ray, I've been dyin' for another Burnout for years now.
That's one of my favorite things about gaming on RUclips. I love finishing games and being just as excited to watch other people's views on it as I am to move on. Your video was definitely what encouraged me to get another playthrough of Revenge completed after all these years.
I thought I was the only one too. I found Revenge as the successful successor to Takedown and I loved takedown as well. Burnout 3 was my favorite until Revenge showed up and then Revenge, for me, usurped that throne. but not a usurp but rather next of kin.
I could listen to you talk about the nature of tracks and cars being obliterated to pieces to Beast and the Harlot for hours. That timing was perfect. The song intro building up behind you talking about how the competitive nature of the series differentiates itself within the genre; climaxing into the vocal shout of the first verse phrase at the tail end of the build up to your thesis sentence for the tracks, and the way you pause dramatically before you finish the sentence with emphasis on the basis for your thesis on beat with the opening phrase of the verse; the verse riff chugging away in the wake of the aforementioned as you describe with great satisfaction the lethal nature of the shortcuts; and then the melodic arpeggio chorus comes in, and you pause dramatically to deliver the single word "verticality" before your verbal spectacle evolves into the spectacular conceptual luster of the unique encounters, in kept time with the wandering phrases of the melting guitars... it's perfect. Then the solo comes in and you're just exerting ethereal word play mastery over the empyreal catharsis of the calculated chaos that is the vehicular destruction and its repercussions... the solo flairs to an end and you shift gears and floor the gas into presentation, right before transitioning into a montage showcasing how great explosions sound. Wow, just describing your video is the most fun I've had all week. I've never appreciated the use of a song so much. Whether purely coincidental, improvisation/capitalization on happenstance, or intended and constructed this way from the ground up - that was celestial my man. You are a wizard of visual audio splendor.
I grew up on Burnout Revenge. That game taught me patience. As a little kid in rage mode going for my new highest score of takedowns. I would get so upset when I didn't hit my goal, i would rage. The game taught me to calm myself down and focus. I found the game so rewarding as me and my brother watching would sit in silence with burning anticipation on the inside as each takedown was closer to my goal. I even remember i was so happy to break 40, then 50, then 100... I don't remember what my final score was or what happened to the game. But it is a game I've always hoped for the proper return of. You did the franchise justice by making this video. Thank you.
One of my favourite gaming moments was in Burnout 3 when I was on the oncoming lane with an AI in the same car as me right next to me. He was steering into me, I was steering into him, no lateral movement. Then we approached a bus and I very slightly let go of the left stick so that he was on a collision course with the bus. We kept going at full speed until we reached the bus. I barely made it past while he stopped dead in his tracks with an amazingly satisfying sound.
The most harder takedown in Burnout series is Total Takedown. You have to takedown 5 cars in a very short time (probably the multi takedown time period is 1 second), but it can be done by aftertouch. Still it's a very hard multi takedown type to perform.
Burnout 3 will always be the best racing game ever made to me Just somethin ya just dont get with modern games y'know Edit: this was an amazing video take my sub my dude
I'll never forget the Series Unlocked videos. Getting hectic goosebumps watching the Super Series Unlocked vids, with the blue and red Super Type 1 scrapping at the end, tears well up every time I watch it. Burnout at its maximum potential.
The closest game I could think of that delivers the same high intensity action racing of Burnout would have to be SPLIT SECOND. Fast paced action filled with explosions and adrenaline pumping last seconds wins... honestly it really scratched the itch that Burnout left.
EA doesn't care about Burnout. They can't even get Need for Speed right. Right now, Burnout is as dead as Dead Space. Another big publisher needs to purchase the Burnout IP from EA, only then will we see Burnout reborn.
Maybe its time for EA to give up the NFS series and give it to another developer and publisher. The games were ok, but I think others could do the series a lot better.
Yes, I'm aware of the Paradise remaster. To me, it's just EA milking another classic game franchise to death. Because why spend $100 million developing an all-new $60 game, when you can spend next to nothing selling what is essentially a 10 year old game with updated '4K' resolutions for $20 ? Seriously, Microsoft are offering the same '4K' service with their Xbox One X Enhanced program, and they're not charging a single cent. You can buy a ton of used Xbox 360 games for $2 to $5 each, and play them in 4K (and in some cases HDR) on your One X. Don't be fooled, EA are and have always been smart and cunning. The real fools here are the silent majority of gamers who continue to support the toxic culture of pre-ordering, microtransactions, pay to win, day one DLC, cash grab 'remasters', and whatnot with their proverbial wallets.
No manlove or anything... but definitely my fave tuber at the moment and has been for a while. Great work as always mate :D The fact its Burnout... a bonus!
That final track at the end really brought me back. I could recall with painful realism, back in early in the early 2000s christmas eve, playing Burnout 3 all by myself in the dark of my room. Specifically the overpass level. Damn that was one hard. I miss games like Burnout, hopefully someday someone will make a game just as good if not better.
Revenge is one of those games that makes you tempted on occasion to break out into fits of maniacal laughter at the sheer carnage you’re capable of wreaking.
I only ever had a PSP and my go to was Burnout Legends, so basically a portable Takedown. Didn;t know that the soundtrack was more or less wholly from Revenge though! 'Today' and 'Shotgun' were my jam!
yeah it took me until I played revenge to realize it's the same soundtrack lmao but the opening to legends is probably still my favorite with 3 being a close second
Oh my...what an amazing piece of a video retrospective. It actually made me want this game. The editing, script, pacing as well as all that passion you've put in to making this, as well as in to this game - everything was spot on, damn, Ray! Tho, one thing stand out for me, which made me like this video even more. It may be rude to think this way, but I don't care, as in this video I saw in you...myself, but much more educated, smarter and skilled. I mean, the amount of love and appreciation you have to this game, one can not only see it, but also hear it, in your voice and the way you have presented and expressed your opinion on Burnout Revenge (I don't want to say that you can even feel it tho, as it sounds wrong and I'm sure you know why), which I'm sure is one of your favourite games in the whole genre at least. The way you've talked, or told (bad English) about it, is the way I talk or tell etc about my favourite games, or at least seek to do it as well as individuals like you, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who've felt this way after watching this video...or a vidoe on, let's say, Spec Ops, or...yeah. Well, what can I say - keep the quality up and higher!
Edit: >tries to find Burnout Revenge on Steam - "no result" >goes to wiki page > *Platforms: Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox* ... even more edit: *GASP* *someone* actually liked my comment, sweet
They should release a compilation pack of burnout 1, 2, 3, revenge, legends, and dominator remaster and I'll buy that shit so fast. Imagine going from 480p to 4k.
Burnout 3: Takedown is literally my favorite racing game of all time, and I don't like many racing games. I got Tony Hawk's Underground about a year or so ago for my ps2 and I feel similarly about it, but nowhere near as much. I also really, really like the music in Burnout.
Burnout 3 needs either a remaster or a reboot. This game was so many of our childhood's, plus the amazing soundtrack was just icing on the cake. Not to mention there isnt any games out there (except beamng drive on steam) that satisfy my crashing sensation.
This video makes me emotional, I’m so glad there are a lot more people out there who are still passionate about a game from my (our?) childhood. It’s a shame the series and studio had gone, and the spiritual successor was too good to be true, Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout: Revenge were my two most favorite Playstation 2 titles, hell, my favorite racing games, period.
Im on your side, for me the Burnout Revenge was the best.. I spend my whole childhood invested in that game, and what really wins me is the Car design in the Burnout Revenge.. Its all well made and oddly realistic for an unlisenced cars.. The car didnt look copying real life cars and it looks absolutely fantastic, compare that with Burnout Dominator Cars
I just couldn't stop smiling at the end of this video, so many good memories from this game! Thanks for the 16 minutes of nostalgia induced adrenaline rush man!
I've spent over 11 years mastering and unlocking everything on Revenge with my cousin on an old Xbox at my granparent's, and unlike with most racing games, I never get tired of it. It's not only a great game. In my opinion it's an amazing experience Paradise couldn't totally beat.
Burnout 3/Revenge are some of my favourite games, but I don't go back to them as much as I'd like. The main thing that puts me off is the sub-HD resolutions on the original releases, which makes it hard to see what's coming up. Thankfully, the bright yellow corner arrows help that, but crashing into a vehicle you couldn't quite make out is inevitable. I'd love to see a new Burnout game, or even a remaster of 3 and Revenge for this reason specifically. My crackpot theory for the series' disappearance is that EA put all their chips in with NFS, and didn't want anything to potentially compete with it, especially due to the higher cost of game development come gen 7. Then again, the whole Titanfall 2 release debacle shoots holes in that theory. Anyway, amazing video! It really captured the magic of these games. I like that you're taking the risk with some variety content, keeps the channel evergreen.
To me it feels like Titanfall 2 release confirms this theory more than anything. Maybe we'll get Titanfall 3, but then there shouldn't be anything competing with Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront according to EA.
Fuuuuuck, that ending when Shotgun dropped... Felt that rush for a brief golden moment. Forza Horizon has become my favorite modern racing series due to the freedoms it allows, the massive rosters of cars, and the feeling of excitement races can illicit, but there is *nothing whatsoever* that has the same reckless, unhinged feeling as the Burnout series. I've dumped over 3,000+ hours into Burnout Paradise (there's a gigantic story I wrote over on Gameranx's channel pertaining to their BP: Remaster video all about it) and it's one of those games that never truly feels like it'll stagnate, purely because it's the best at what it does. This is a masterfully edited video, and you give me hope for the future of the series. Thank you for doing my all-time favorite series proud. I can promise that if another game comes out, I will happily do everything in my power to crush your beautiful hypercar into a semi truck. Or vice versa.
Chemical-Drift the score for this track remains on my Spotify playlists to this day. And honestly I’d love to hear his thoughts on Forza Horizon as a series, not just H2’s hot wheels
A video of this status and quality with the same amount of love that I have for burnout equates to an instant sub. Will check out your playlist as I play NFS Hot Pursuit next time.
I would love to see you go through burnout: paradise. One of my favorite games of all time, and would be awesome to see your take on it's gameplay decisions
Just dumped an ungodly amount of hours on Paradise City Remastered. Love this franchise and would love to hear you provide a retrospective for each game! Fantastic stuff as always!
Aw man, this was such a nostalgia trip for me. Cheers for doing a video on this series! It's seriously a forgotten gem at this point, as much as it pains me to say that
I love Burnout too but the IP is _still_ owned by EA, I'd rather the franchise stay dead than see it become another one of EA's microtransaction/lootbox-infested monsters. I'm glad it's not around to see the horrors of today.
don't forget about the entire playlist being infested with shitty mainstream crap we get nowadays in Burnout game with all of those predatory anti-consumer practices, which I cannot imagine how gross it was without risking myself losing remaining bits of my sanity
I want to play revenge so much, because of that shitty traffic which came during important races in Burnout 3 Also, the radio talking about the race you were having, and the traffic that you will encounter, was such an amazing point, was so cool!
I really dont feel the same about traffic checking. I liked the more puzzle like feeling of ALWAYS being on the edge of disaster. Just give me Burnout 3 HD and I'm happy. I don't think they'd be able to get the music though, which was such a big part of what I loved about 3.
Yeah, while his take on Traffic Checking is interesting, I'm not sure I was or am on board with that idea. I like the road to be open for a ways (when you know it will be) and then let's go those extremely dangerous near misses. If they were ever to make a new game, let's take out traffic checking and keep the awesome shortcuts!
I don't mind traffic checking, but did prefer the challenge of 3 more. If Paradise was able to retain its soundtrack with the remaster, then I don't see why 3 wouldn't.
This video is nearly 2 years old and I can't stop watching it. Burnout is one of my favourite franchises and we've been long overdue a remake/remaster or even sequel to Burnout 3. BRING BACK BURNOUT! Edit: Before anyone comments about Revenge, it's not a sequel
Like him ending his tale at the end of junkie xls today gives me and maybe many of us joy reminding us of the past and how we enjoyed our child and teenage hoods as he reminds us of the games issues but highlights the beauty of the game.Thank you raycevick
Burnout 3 Takedown is the GOAT. No other racing game comes close to the amount of hours I put into that game. Gahdamn imagine if Criterion Games escape the clutches of EA and create something their heart is in.
and they seem to be doing a pretty terrible job, atleast if what Danger Zone 2 is to go by. What a terrible, uninspired mess, that is. If it's good for anything, it's a good reason to not let those "ex-Criterion devs" at Three Fields Entertainment redo anything Burnout-related...
Takedown is my personal favorite honestly. I spended hours after hours playing it. It’ll be in my heart forever. And the soundtrack... oh boy. And I love the song from the intro.
Burnout 3 Takedown is one of my top 5 games, not just racing games, _GAMES,_ of all time. I play it today and have just as much fun as I did when I was a kid. I remember accumulating over like, 350 recorded hours in that game, which was a HUGE amount of time for a non-JRPG game back then IIRC before all this games as a service shit. I never got to play revenge but it looks like fun, I might try to find a copy later. Man, I miss this franchise, it's so hard to find any game like it these days that is of anywhere near the same quality and level of fun, especially in the sea of racing sims that I just really do not have any interest in playing unless it's in VR.
Yeah, I think I clocked over 400 hours of B3 myself, between me playing to unlock literally everything (the only game I did that with) and doing the party modes like crash and passing the controller around in takedown mode while we were all drinking. Who could last the longest? Have another beer.
I know isn't it great? You unlocked stuff by playing the game well, not by dumping hundreds of dollars of microtransactions into the game. Different era, man.
350-400 hours??? You guys are legends!! And there I was jumping up and down and telling friends that I had put like 78hrs of playing time on Takedown and forcing my friends to play the game.. man I thought I was the only one who played this game for 78hrs.. but this was back in 2010-11.. and I stopped playing it. Now that I saw this video, makes me wanna start playing Takedown again!
Paradise is still my favorite in the franchise, even if it doesn't seem to be looked on as fondly. The sheer degree of freedom it allowed was simply wonderful.
I never got on with open world racing games of any type, and Paradise was no exception... but I loved driving around and doing every non-race event instead. The billboard smashes, the jumps, the stunt areas, road rage events, all hours of good fun.
The main issue with Paradise was that it lost the arcadey feel that 3 and Revenge had when it switched to the open world layout. It was cool for a while, but after a few hours of playing you start to realize how little substance the open world had. Not just that, but the progression felt really unrewarding compared to previous titles. In burnout 3, whenever you unlocked a new car, you couldn't wait to try it out, and you felt accomplished when you finally got the top tier cars in each class. Not only that but the world tour system made it satisfying in that you could feel your progress as you earned the next stages of events, as well as the fact that you could just jump right into the events from the menu without any fuss or hassle. There are cases like this where an open world actual hinders the game instead of making it better.
Burnout Revenge was amazing but it was missing a key feature from Burnout 3. SINGLE EVENT! Now I know that there was world tour but I just loved playing road rage for 30 minutes. Some people have gotten over 300 takedowns. But in revenge your only given 6:24 seconds if you don't get totaled. But in all revenge is a love hate relationship. But hey that's just an opinion. Great video Raycevick!
Burnout 3 was my childhood. I will never forget the days me and my best friend spent on this game. I listen to the soundtracks every now and then, they formed my taste in music.
I'm not much for real-world-style racing games. They can be fun, especially in a real arcade, but they're not something I go out of my way to play. Burn 3 was the exception to that. From my first race I was hooked. The sheer adrenaline of pulling off dangerous stunts to be rewarded and the aggression of the driving made the game unlike anything I had played before. It was a blast every time. I wish I had played the sequel, but sadly I hadn't kept up with the series enough to know it even existed. Thank you Raycevick for broadening my horizons.
That's the closest high-octane feeling I've ever gotten to a Burnout game since Revenge. That game was nuts, love how the tracks got more and more utterly destroyed as the race went on.
Split/Second was probably one of the best post-Burnout racers. The adrenaline rush you could get by throwing a 747 on your opponents, blowing up an entire dam, crashing down a whole building, with an awesome soundtrack and set design was just phenomenal. It was just released at the worst possible time for a racing game and the dreams of a sequel were totally shattered. I will always remember Split/Second for those unique moments.
Aaaaaah, that boostmeter extention sound and getting all the boost back within takedown and just zoooooooming throught competition, just some soundeffects that are intrigated to my mind, since they are just sooooo good. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done imaginery sequel-ost about Burnout :D I think i'm one of the few people that didn't like Paradise, something just felt off. But I hope there would proper sequel in the future. At least we get new game with "Crash"-gameplay in the future.
Me too man, In burnout 3 and Revenge you don't feel like you're driving a car but some kind of steel monster that eats cars, it's meant to be straight forward and dynamic, just pick and go, the open world thing and the NFS modding and whatnot just reminded me that i'm just a jackass driving poorly. Might as well just play Most Wanted again. It's all in the Atmosphere, and in revenge it was almost inhuman.
I've always wanted a crash mode editor. Like you pick a junction, place all the trafic you want in their different starting points, set the path they'll drive through the level, add power ups, and place your car. Then you can play it and even share it online!
I always loved the ST for burnout 3, watching this video makes me wanna go find a playlist on spotify and go through the whole playlist throughout the day, absolutely love your videos 😁
100/10 mini documentary! My whole family used to play this game in weekends and summer break! I loved the little f1 cars that were super fast. Thanks for the throwback. I subbed 😎

Why is Beast and the Harlot playing in the background?
btw im a god at this song on guitar hero 2 playstation 2 editoni
@@joshdoesthings7836 I think all these songs are on the game's sound track.
I want prototype back..
Do video about that.👍
Yes another person that loves my favorite burnout!
I really hope that the Burnout Paradise remaster was testing the waters for a new Burnout. A man can dream.
It would be nice if they remastered revenge
I only hope so

If they’re not going to make a new game, atleast remaster Burnout 3: Takedown already! Hell, I’d be satisfied with just the Crash Mode on it’s own.
You should check out the game Danger Zone, it's essentially just burnout crash mode. Really cool!
Critical Nobody hell yes dude, by far that game was my most played game on the ps2 next to max payne when I was a child.
Critical Nobody hay god, how you doing?
at least make it available for the xbone like it was for the 360... and i think id prefer just a straight port cause once u start remastering theres always a chance of fucking something up... but dont get the hype for crash mode... its all about 2-player split screen road rage

MrSnaztastic burnout crash is good fun, cut it some slack!
Considering what's going on right now, EA might end up killing lootboxes for every publisher.
that mobile burnout game was actually really good though. They should try to port burnout 2 or 3 to iPhone/ipad that would be a good idea
Stop giving them terrible ideas

I...I had bought more than enough copies to give to my friends and I still have a couple extras
Holy moly, Revenge is someone else's favourite Burnout game too? I thought I was the only one!
Writing on Games I had it on Xbox 360 back in the day, and I thought it was incredible. Also had a killer soundtrack too.
We are but a few, but REVENGE IS THE SWEETEST!!!
_YASSS!!!_

I heard it and immediately lost focus for a second tbh, and then started jamming out
I grew up on Burnout Revenge. Thank you.
There are PCSX2 and Xenia Canary patches that disables the road rage timer so you will able to score takedowns higher
For those who might not know - the sound design overhaul in Revenge's 360 port mainly comes from it borrowing a *lot* of sound files from NFS Carbon.
That quick ending montage with the nostalgic soundtrack almost made me cry
One of my favourite gaming moments was in Burnout 3 when I was on the oncoming lane with an AI in the same car as me right next to me. He was steering into me, I was steering into him, no lateral movement. Then we approached a bus and I very slightly let go of the left stick so that he was on a collision course with the bus. We kept going at full speed until we reached the bus. I barely made it past while he stopped dead in his tracks with an amazingly satisfying sound.
Never have I agreed with a videos title more!
Dude this guys ability to write and argue his points is actually amazing
I still love playing burnout every now and then, it scratches an itch that other games just can't
You said burnout. I clicked the video. It's literally my most favorite racing game. Revenge and paradise

7:17 one of the rarest events in gaming: a Total Payback. Loved when that happened.
oh yeah! trueee
The most harder takedown in Burnout series is Total Takedown. You have to takedown 5 cars in a very short time (probably the multi takedown time period is 1 second), but it can be done by aftertouch. Still it's a very hard multi takedown type to perform.
On xbox u can unlock an achievement called "Stack the pack!" by doing a Total payback.
Man the trophies they gave you for performing these? Oh, so good.
I still play Revenge on my Series X to this day. Incredible game even by today’s standards. Insane sense of speed and adrenaline.
You, Gvmers, and NakeyJakey give me hope about video games and RUclips in general.
Burnout 3 will always be the best racing game ever made to me

I'll never forget the Series Unlocked videos. Getting hectic goosebumps watching the Super Series Unlocked vids, with the blue and red Super Type 1 scrapping at the end, tears well up every time I watch it. Burnout at its maximum potential.
i havent play lakeside gp , its so hard
I still have the soundtrack on my telephone :D
Takedown was my intro the series. Great game.
The closest game I could think of that delivers the same high intensity action racing of Burnout would have to be SPLIT SECOND.
Fast paced action filled with explosions and adrenaline pumping last seconds wins... honestly it really scratched the itch that Burnout left.
I LOVED SPLIT SECOND, such an underrated gem. If I remember right, the developers were making a sequel before they got shut down by Disney.
*drum-n-bass playing loudly*
split second had a lot of problems but god I loved that game and its premise
Remember playing the Demo and enjoying it, think I'm part of the problem though because I just never bothered to grab it on release :(
@@TheMarc1k1 If you still have a PS3 or Xbox 360 I'd highly recommend it. You can find it for like 2-5$. Totally worth every penny
You're the only person who voices my same opinion on the series favorite. I love Revenge and couldn't find nearly as much joy in Paradise.
Ertan Soner perhaps a riot is in order, to shut them down for good!
So, did you not see them remaster Burnout Paradise, or...

Never thought I’d get this motivated to fire up my 360. I remember playing this on a 20” flatscreen downing coke and pizza. Great content.
Revenge is one of those games that makes you tempted on occasion to break out into fits of maniacal laughter at the sheer carnage you’re capable of wreaking.
Awesome + Gold = Perfect
(Only Burnout Revenge players will understand.)
YES.
Soundtrack and gameplay are just a masterpiece of this franchise
I grew up playing just a few games, and Burnout 3 was one of them. Road rage mode is still one of my all time favourite gaming experiences.
I played this so much on my PS2.
Hey Ray, Clu's link in the description is broken. Just a heads up!

Burnout was the perfect balance of oldschool NFS arcade racing and FlatOut 2. Destruction and high octane racing.

Thought I was the only one who still remembered this gem, thank you for recognizing it :)!
I just couldn't stop smiling at the end of this video, so many good memories from this game! Thanks for the 16 minutes of nostalgia induced adrenaline rush man!
I think this was during the era of good soundtracks in games. I still to this day listen to some of the music off of playlist like the ones in this.
This video is one of the best you’ve ever made. Thank you.
Appreciate the love, Legosi.
I've spent over 11 years mastering and unlocking everything on Revenge with my cousin on an old Xbox at my granparent's, and unlike with most racing games, I never get tired of it.
It's not only a great game. In my opinion it's an amazing experience Paradise couldn't totally beat.
Oh man, the nostalgia of going to blockbuster and getting this game for my gamecube and ps2
The copy of dominator I bought second hand still has the hollywood video sticker on it lol
Burnout legends on the psp was my favourite, the rival races were the most intense
yeah especially the one on island paradise against the hot rod
I loved paradise, I remember singing paradise city for the 1000th time while going full send in a motorcycle
Another great thing Burnout 3 had was awesome soundtracks. To this day I still listen to that playlist
There was a Burnout Revenge HD edition that still holds up pretty nice to this day
Do you mean the Xbox 360 version? If so, then I may have to try it myself. Cheers!
To me it feels like Titanfall 2 release confirms this theory more than anything. Maybe we'll get Titanfall 3, but then there shouldn't be anything competing with Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront according to EA.
Load burnout 3 into pcsx2 with 8x resolution scaling, you'll be in for a treat trust me.
or revenge for that matter, both are god damn stunning on PCSX2

This video has convinced me to play Burnout: Revenge. Thanks
Paradise, had MTX out the wazoo. What're you talking about?
don't forget about the entire playlist being infested with shitty mainstream crap we get nowadays in Burnout game with all of those predatory anti-consumer practices, which I cannot imagine how gross it was without risking myself losing remaining bits of my sanity
Thank you for making this video a reminder of this goldmine. It truly left me in crying fit of nostalgia
I want to play revenge so much, because of that shitty traffic which came during important races in Burnout 3
Also, the radio talking about the race you were having, and the traffic that you will encounter, was such an amazing point, was so cool!
"And all of this devastating but in depth design is decorated in superb presentation." That was a superbly written retrospective.
I really dont feel the same about traffic checking. I liked the more puzzle like feeling of ALWAYS being on the edge of disaster.
Just give me Burnout 3 HD and I'm happy. I don't think they'd be able to get the music though, which was such a big part of what I loved about 3.
Same. Traffic Check is the worst thing they introduced to the Burnout series.
Yeah, while his take on Traffic Checking is interesting, I'm not sure I was or am on board with that idea. I like the road to be open for a ways (when you know it will be) and then let's go those extremely dangerous near misses. If they were ever to make a new game, let's take out traffic checking and keep the awesome shortcuts!
traffic checking isnt bad
I don't mind traffic checking, but did prefer the challenge of 3 more. If Paradise was able to retain its soundtrack with the remaster, then I don't see why 3 wouldn't.
@@Blueflag04 yes it is wtf
All the enjoyment of weaving between traffic cars, gone

Burnout 3 Takedown is the GOAT. No other racing game comes close to the amount of hours I put into that game. Gahdamn imagine if Criterion Games escape the clutches of EA and create something their heart is in.
Three fields is doing exactly that
Nope 4s the best
and they seem to be doing a pretty terrible job, atleast if what Danger Zone 2 is to go by.
What a terrible, uninspired mess, that is.
If it's good for anything, it's a good reason to not let those "ex-Criterion devs" at Three Fields Entertainment redo anything Burnout-related...
uhhhh... Revenge
I LOVE HIS NAME, HIS VOICE, AND HIS PARAGRAPHS. They’re the most enjoyable things to watch.
Takedown is my personal favorite honestly. I spended hours after hours playing it. It’ll be in my heart forever. And the soundtrack... oh boy. And I love the song from the intro.
i loved how you ended this video, it looks liked a final scene of a movie
Different era, man.
same... weird how none of the sequels managed to be at least as good as Takedown..
The music in this game is just amazing, I’m still loving the soundtrack years later
Paradise is still my favorite in the franchise, even if it doesn't seem to be looked on as fondly. The sheer degree of freedom it allowed was simply wonderful.
People sadly don't seem to care about poor paradise city
Oh man, the background music really took me back in time. What a throwback.
I love the music choice The album “City of evil” by Avenged Sevenfold 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
(Beast and the Harlot) lol I thought it sounded familiar!
In Paradise you can stand still for like 5 seconds to end any event, which is a godsend when you don't really feel like maxing out the stunt runs.
I still love playing time trial and seeing how fast i can get a lap
Burnout 3 was my childhood. I will never forget the days me and my best friend spent on this game. I listen to the soundtracks every now and then, they formed my taste in music.
The problem with Burnout is that...
... It got burnt out.
Ba dum tss
Yyeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Jus-Just get out please
But it'll come back to get it's *revenge.*
What are your thoughts on Split/second? And would you like to see a Mashup of the two?
The routechangers were so badass. I wish we got a sequel.
Split second is one of the greats. Good memories of playing split screen with a friend.
Ridge Racer Unbounded has a lot of Burnout and Split/Second in it
Another great video, thanks very much Ray! I'm always stunned by the effort and quality put into these videos! Keep it up xoxo
Aaaaaah, that boostmeter extention sound and getting all the boost back within takedown and just zoooooooming throught competition, just some soundeffects that are intrigated to my mind, since they are just sooooo good.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done imaginery sequel-ost about Burnout :D
I think i'm one of the few people that didn't like Paradise, something just felt off.
I would love to see you do a video on Gran Turismo. It is a series that used to be revered as one of the best, but they have lost their way.
I liked Striker from BO3, Crash FM just had that early 2000s vibe
