This movie is about embracing Yin AND Yang both… Light & dark (Ocea & Mae), accepting that light & dark are not “good or bad” or “right or wrong,” but just another natural polar opposite as up & down or cold & hot. EVERYONE has a dark side within; a bright light WILL cast a dark shadow. It’s just nature. The movie explores a cult of witches that tattoo themselves with a yin/yang symbol repping their appreciation & embrace of that balance. The witches were a private culture minding their business, embracing their powers like any tribe would practice its own religion. They use the force as a natural talent to its fullest, open-minded potential and we empathize Qimir’s ideas that the Jedi are the bad guys; like cops abusing their power. Making rules, limiting potential… Forcing entry into this witch tribe’s home & literally stealing their children in the name of “what’s best for them” like Child Protective Services. I knew yin/yang would flip in the end, & Ocea would end up being the acolyte. I promise if you re-binge every episode, you will enjoy this a hell of a lot more.
Image if we had a show or better yet a movie trilogy about Revan defeating the mando forces in 3976 BBY and then turned to the Dark Side by Vitiate becoming Darth Revan. then the trilogy after is about The Eternal Empire with Satele Shan, Darth Malgus and Lord Valkorion. Fans would go crazy seeing the Eternal Twins cut down Jedi and Sith left and right as them dominate the galaxy. End Game level of a cinematic fight Could have Revan be redeemed by his own great grand daughter Satele Shan (a real power house unlike Ray) and they destroy Lord Valkorion and the Eternal Empire together!
This was an incredible duel (and I think it's one of my favourites). The actors did a terrific job with their roles. Kudos to them. I just think it's a shame that the overall story was terrible. The character of Master Sol would have been amazing if it was utilized properly.
The show definitely isn't perfect, but it does so many things so well that I honestly really hope we get another season. The portrayal of the Jedi, Sol's complex character, the dynamic between the Osha and the Stranger, and the unbelievably cool fight choreography genuinely made me excited for the last few episodes. (They referenced wuxia, and kendo, and aikido, and all the other martial arts forms and media that inspired the original trilogy!! I honestly don't care about inconsistency in the lore, I'm a DC Comics fan, a little bit of contradiction doesn't scare me.) Honestly, just get someone to revise the dialogue a few more times and I think this could be up there.

The choreo is good, the casting is good, the set design is good, and I even really like the use of forested environments (which, while bog standard in sci fi thanks to British Columbia production costs, are always fun no matter what).

That helmet, never seen one soo effective in battle . Thing shuts off your lightsaber.
Yah there’s an entire lore of the material used. It’s a shame that show was so trash that it turns the mask a joke.
End Game level of a cinematic fight
Could have Revan be redeemed by his own great grand daughter Satele Shan (a real power house unlike Ray) and they destroy Lord Valkorion and the Eternal Empire together!
This duel between Sol and Qimir is decent just like all the other lightsaber duels in this show.
Honestly one of the best in the franchise, the choreography definitely beats a lot of the prequels
If you dont know pls dont talk
This was an incredible duel (and I think it's one of my favourites). The actors did a terrific job with their roles. Kudos to them. I just think it's a shame that the overall story was terrible. The character of Master Sol would have been amazing if it was utilized properly.
They used nerve agents, nukes, atomics, shapeshifting alchemy, and weather and weapons on me.
Qimir's biceps are good too
I'm not exaggerating when I say this has been my favorite of all the SW shows. I didn't think it was possible to replace Ahsoka as my favorite but sure enough. Acolyte pulled it off.
@@blasterare12 AND HIS BICEPS ARE SO GOOD. I'm glad someone said it because I was scared to but... he's perfect. Honestly I hope the show doesn't get cancelled because if I don't see more sith Manny Jacinto doing choreo and walking around shirtless I'm going to be distraught!!!
@@eddie6198 Yeah no, it's honestly thematically pretty strong. Even the people I've seen who hate it are like “...Okay, Sol's arc is extremely compelling.” Sol and the Stranger represent really real and understandable reactions to scenarios that, while fictional, are meant to be paralleled to our own. The choreo is good, the casting is good, the set design is good, and I even really like the use of forested environments (which, while bog standard in sci fi thanks to British Columbia production costs, are always fun no matter what).
@@eyeballplanets ew lol when did starwars become twighlight
Me : have you heard the tale known as the tragedy of Master Sol??...
Me: He died. The end
One of the best lightsabre fights
