This is a remarkable tribute to martial arts. Not everything is about speed and flashiness. They way they calmly size each other up is beautifully done. Dawson’s relaxed confidence embodies the Jedi philosophy perfectly.
Bro this show wasn’t perfect but I loved Ray Stevensons character as well as Hayden’s flashbacks. I really hope they start giving projects to people that know what they’re doing. Andor was not only one of the best Star Wars shows, but of any show in general of that year.
Honestly, I don’t care about competitions besides it was balanced this series and soon it will become essential to what we have planned soon Liberation

Too bad the actor passed away. I found Baylan Skoll by far the most interesting and intriguing character in the entire Ahsoka show, even more so than Ahsoka self.
Ashoka let the skywalker arrogance get her on this one. Never pulled the second saber, so vastly underestimated Baylen. She tried to beat Baylen at his own style of fighting which she has never been suited for. If the goal is to stop them from getting the map, it’s just as easy to buy yourself time by sticking a saber through the scanning machine.
Loved the sounds of the sabers. This scene was dope. I really thought every light saber duel in the prequels would be epic I mean every last one lol. We did get some good ones tho but not every one lol
3:04, 3:32, 3:47 these moments touched my heart ❤️💔🥺 Ahsoka and Sabina are worried about each other, it is clear that they have managed to forget about the disagreements that existed between them before and began to value each other, a master-apprentice connection appeared between them. perhaps you could even say that they treat each other like mother and daughter, from a certain point of view. Very nice to see this. It’s noticeable that the writers put effort into writing the characters and their relationship. and of course it is worth noting that Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo did a good job of understanding and acting out their heroines. Bravo! 👏
hm, it would be interesting to see what would have happened if she had shot at the orb while holding it in her hand. She would have destroyed the orb and her hand..
Me: Ha, this old man doesn’t know what he’s gotten himself into. Ahsoka is a clone wars veteran. Nobody can beat a clone wars veteran 😂 Also Me:…… Hmm? Huh, come again? Baylen? A clones wars veteran too? …….. uh oh 😐
I don't know enough about the choreography that went into this. Everyone in the comments keeps mentioning martial arts and kendo. However, what I'm seeing from Baylan is primarily a more medieval-European fighting style, as if he was using a heavy broadsword. Again, I don't know for sure. Personally, I always thought the sword techniques in Star Wars were more Japanese inspired.
If only this show was done the right way... I didn't like this fight as much and I dont think it ages very well. It has more potential to be what a lightsaber fight is supposed to be... also I havent seen the Acolyte (I wont) but We needed Daphne Keen in this show to portray Ahsoka's physical strength and skill no cap
I don’t think they should even be compared. What is brilliant about this scene is the way they are sizing each other up very slowly. The way Dawson actually embodies a calm flow state is perfection. I view this scene as a remarkable tribute to martial arts and old samurai films. We can’t just be wowed by the flashiness.
I've learned that in this show every character that ignites their saber first in a duel is always the one who loses. Take snips here for example
Except Obi against Anakin
@@mchunter2266that’s not in this show though?
I like how when Baylen activates his lightsaber, it made the same sound as a Sith lightsaber.
Because he's a sith...

My lightsaber will make 3 queef sounds. Then it activates
How have I only now noticed that, that sound is only heard for red light sabres 😅

The Kendo starting positions before they attack at first make me so happy.
The stances definitely brought me back to my old kendo days.
Ice cream usually makes me happy
I love the different fighting styles across this show.
That crazy 360 turn baylen does with the lightsaber @ 1:40 is 🔥
An absolute acrobatic tank
My favourite move of the next decade.

I didn't like the show, but Ray Stevenson gave all that he had, that much is clear. May he Rest In Peace.
2 season warriors fighting with a lot of training

No she didn't take a second saber because Baylan has too much pure strength for her. She wouldn't be able to block anything with only one arm.
I do appreciate that Disney Wars gave us cool new colors in live action: Dark, Orange, Yellow, & White. Just wish the choreography was better.

So sad that we won't get to see the end of Baylan's story.

She can kick vaders ass so easily, but not him that’s crazy

And yet the only normal fencer here is Hayden. It's a shame that he was not allowed to open up because he would have exposed Dawson as a nonentity.
Qimir vs baylan skoll a dark jedi
Still confused how she lost

Not bad compare to kenobi fight. But not good compare to the prequels. The fight lack of... speed I guess. And cinematography doesnt help.

tbh in this show lightsaber scenes pretty slow. Story of acolyte is a like a shit but give the devil her due lightsaber scenes were dope.
Terrible editing, cuts come way too fast you can’t follow the choreography
Тут нет того, за чем вы бы захотели следить. Именно поэтому монтаж так сильно пытается это скрыть.
A lot of posing not much action
Disney owns Star Wars so no matter how good you may think this is, it still sucks.
