I'm into long war 2 for a year now, it's a great and engaging game, but it's been looooooooong! good thing is that you develop an attachment for your characters and the death of one is an epic moment.
i do agree on the fact that it is not possible to complete, but mainly its because you dont know when or why you lose. I have played Long War 2 3 times, well first time i stopped because i changed some of those settings like not created equaly and lowered the difficulty (i just dont enjoy playing on higer difficulty, and if im not ejoying it, why the hell am i playing it) but other 2 times i lost because the avatar project (i think) was copleted. There is no indicator of that whatsoever, and in my opinion it really hurts the gameplay. I dont know am i supposed to rush it or im fine on time. Especially in my last game where i lost it made no freaking sense why i lost. If you have played vanilla XCOM2 you know that when avatar project has all the points it starts a coundown (30 days i think) and if in that time you do some mission or destroy a facility you take away a point and the coundown is canceled. Well before i lost like 5 days ago (in game) i completed the alien portal mission, so that would have taken away a point right? Sorry if this seems like some angry rant of mine, just wanted to share my toughts
bro I'll tell you why you lost it's because you were so far behind that you never even liberated a region it's literally your first real main objective
I am loving the long war mod for enemy within and xcom 2, when i get it to work even though it can be really difficult but once you learn its mechanics and get use to it, it is really good!
agasarang my best guess is that it has something to do with when I hit that old gypsy woman's dog with my car. One curse and several years later, and here I am. But I'm happy you're watching! 😊
the biggest problem that i had with xcom2 was its stupid timed missions. After hearing about this mod i thought i might give it a try.But now i realize that the game is gonna be like total war series ..nah no thankx.side note:i hate developers for making those timed missions. It took awy the tactical approach that the game had.
actually is better for the tactical approach to have timers. Forcing you to move foward and taking risks will prevent people from exploiting the same super safe tactic over and over and over again....
@@ElConquistadork Well, If you are used to play Openxcom with mods Like the Final Mod Pack Long War 1-2 really feel Like they could use a bit more content haha
i thought the base game was decent length, all my characters fully upgraded and all research and upgrades done. long war sounds boring to me of doing the same fights over and over again
Does it make Xcom 2 harder? ...I wouldn't mind a mod that makes Xcom2 just a little bit easier. It seems a little too hard for me. Slightly easier than the easiest difficulty (which I still get my ass handed to me on) would be great. If anyone knows a mod that just lowers the difficulty (not cheat mods) please let me know.
Else you could try to figure Out how the Comfigs Work, that way you could have Armor in your soldiers by Default or increase their Aim/Will/HP which will make the tactical Gameplay more forgiving and easier And for the configs themselv you only need the a txt Editor, tho I prefer Something Like Notepad++
Thank you for reminding me that I still need to finish my Long War 1 campaign. XD
The original Long War mod is the #1 reason I've never bought XCOM 2. For me, XCOM 1 + Long War is literally the perfect strategy game.
I would read your Harry Potter fan fic just because of how much you praised the Macho Man Randy Savage dragon mod.
buckeyeinblack I'll make it happen: stay tuned!
buckeyeinblack Bill the Conquistageek deserves his moment in the sun.

3 minutes of video and i still know absolute nothing about the mode, great job
oh no. you'd better go find someone else's videos to watch.
@@ElConquistadork i will, but sry for my rude comment. You have your fans and they will appreciate your work better than me
@@sodomagomorah8110 an apology on the Internet! Well, holy crow. That actually made my day a little brighter: thanks!

The calvin and hobbes reference made me smile
Dekarowski25 they’re two of my favorite people 😉
Any game that makes you feel like Calvin deserves 10/10.

is better long war 1 or 2? which have the best quality??
Phil, still can't believe you don't have 100k+ subs. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!!?

Could we do a crossover where Bill the Conquistageek meets Crispyjim, Bazooka, and Jebbie? They can solve mysteries!
Enjoyable review!!

It makes sense from a real world perspective. A guerilla force can only sustain combat for so long before reinforcements come over and destroy them.

@@kionashi I agree with you. It makes the VIP rescue missions more realistic

Sick burn.
I love long war as I just love xcom but the game crashes so much to where I have to restart my PC and that just kills the mood for xcom
koolerpure ugh--that sucks! Especially if it happens at a critical moment. I'm lucky: I haven't had that issue.
Phil The Conquistadork My game mystriously crashes when my soldier misses that crucial 98% shot. Devs should really look into that.

Nice vid 👍🏾
To call this a review is misleading. Literally learned nothing about the mod from this video.
Well, bye.
