I've been cooking red beans and rice just like this. Watched one of your other bean videos to get an idea of how to use the instapot. Found out quick that those red beans need at least 45 minutes! I laughed when you set it for 50 minutes. Your videos have helped my wife and i expand our dinner options. Thanks for what you do!
You’re absolutely the best I come to your channel everything I want to cook. My wife passed away almost 2 years ago so I had to learn how to cook thank you so very much.
Omg this is crazy because my mom bought me the same instant pot for a housewarming gift and I really haven’t used it a lot and I came across your channel so glad that you’re using it to cook a lot of food with so that’s pretty cool gonna try some of your recipes thanks again 😂👍
My husbands favorite!! I sure will be trying this out! I was wondering if you have a cookbook out with all your instant pot recipes!! That would be great or if you have a way to print them out! I love them all and I find myself writing them down and I don't always put all the instructions.. I thought if you had a printable recipe it would be nice to have them kept in a folder! I would love to buy your book if you have one out!! Thank you so much for all your hard work!!❤❤
Aw, thanks! I love hearing you are enjoying my recipes so much! I don't have a cookbook (yet). You can print all my recipes off my site though amindfullmom.com Each recipe card has a print option :)
@AMindFullMom I purchased an 8 quart Instant Pot for my wife and I a few years ago, she has since passed on. In my understanding, a Pot that big needs at least 1 and 1/2 cups of liquid which means the ingredients have to match. For instance making beef stew or split pea soup. I thought that if less liquid was used a possible burn notice would occur. Maybe I'm wrong. If I am let me know. Thanks.
I like that you included discovering you forgot to add the salt. I loath green peppers. Wonder if anyone makes this with red, yellow or orange peppers.
Enjoy your videos as always as a small suggestion you can put ham hock in the red beans first perhaps make the ham hock ahead of time. Take the skin and bone out and put the meat back in it then do everything you suggested this will bring the taste above and beyond with the flavors. And by the way, you look the exact same from six years ago and you have a serene voice with a lot of charisma. Keep up the excellent job
If the dry beans have been soaked overnight, then for how long should we high-pressure cook them? P.S. i just cooked one of your other recipes and we enjoyed it home. It seems your recipes are easy to follow with basic ingredients, which is what I am totally looking for! Thank you!
So happy you found my channel! As for the beans, if soaked, I would decrease the water to just 1 cup (from 3 cups) and cook for 40 minutes instead of 50.
This looks great, but I'm half Cuban and it is blasphemy for us to put rice next to beans. We mix them together like mud. Thanks for all the great recipes 👍👍👍

Simple and very good! Greetings from Houston TX! 😎🥂
So happy to enjoy!
Every recipe you put out looks amazing. I wish I had someone to cook for as I really enjoy cooking but have too many leftovers.
Thanks so much! Most of my recipes can be halved or frozen to enjoy at another time as well, in case that helps you :)

No you are correct that an 8-quart needs 1.5 cups of liquid. This recipe has 6 cups of liquid so no need to worry. @@steves3760

Feel free to make with any other pepper :)

I CAN DO THIS!!! Thanks to you....
Love it
What’s with the pancakes?
I have zero idea what you are talking about?
When you talk about the sauté feature, there is a shot of what looks to be potato pancakes in the instant pot.
I see it now🤦♀ @@brianhenderson7150
Oh goodness, I see it now. Bad editing on my part! Sorry!
The pancake shot throws me off lol 😂 love it!
I totally missed that!! SO sorry!
@@AMindFullMom I love it! Let’s me know you actually create the videos! Your recipes are good too!
Thanks so much :) @@NezChic
Yep 50 minutes = start up and the cool down. 😊 adding a little more time. ✅
Boom!
Great recipe and i have 4 different pressure cookers
That's great! I hope you enjoy this recipe in one of them ;)

LOL! Well it is delicious mud for sure!
Not only are you a fantastic and mindful cook but you're a very attractive woman.
Thank you.
There is no such thing as Cajun Red Beans and Rice.
There is now 😂
