Hello, I have this monitor connected to my laptop (windows 11) and it doesn't display the screen fully even after placing the resolution in recommended settings. The display is stretched out. Can you help me with this?
it'll be the same as the PS5 footage, the image will be stretched out. But you could always play it in the original 16:9 aspect ratio which is what i would recommend. you'll have the black bars
Hi , im looking for some suggestions. I'm in need of ultrawide, 29inch will be a sweep spot for me. Concerns are - they are mostly available in 2560x1080 resolution giving out 96ppi. 1. Will that be easy on eyes ? 2. at arm's distance is text pixelated ?. Are you able to read text (for 6-8 hours a day) at that distance comfortably ? Also, i'll be using it in grayscale mode and in split screen. so what options do you suggest ? Should i go for VA (as major use wll be in monochromatic mode) or IPS. Budget is a concern. Also, typing this from 15 inch 109ppi laptop screen. so u have an idea of the kind of upgrade experience i can have.
I have this one pretty much i like it and am buying odyssey g5 ultrawide in 6 months or so should be interesting, When u get use to ultrawide u would never want to go back to normal display
Yeah I feel you on that ! The only display that could steer me is 32-inch 4K OLED 😅 The G5 is a solid choice, I haven’t reviewed their ultra wide, but have done one of their recent G55C monitor
should I get this or the 600WN? I mainly will use for productivity , I do like the usb c port , but I can get hdmi to usbc adapter , why should I get this and not 600WN ?
Thank you for the unboxing and the review. I'm about to buy that monitor and your video was very helpful. One thing though and correct me if I'm missing something. Did you run FH5 on your PS5 ???
You’re welcome and I appreciate the feedback ❤️🔥 And no lol FH5 was ran on my GAMING PC 😏 but I do use the PS5 controller when I game on PC or PS5 of course
Sorry the W doesn't stand for White. It's the lineup (Work or I guess professional workplace). And Q refers to the last latest models. Current latest model are R model monitors. And S model is close to release next year.
Just saw this video on Amazon. Great review. Wish this monitor had a powered USB-C port. That's the only shortcoming IMO. Will still go ahead and get it though
If you want even higher refresh rates, then yes I would look into other ones. I’ve done the G8 OLED and LG 38WN95C, they both feature usb-c but are more expensive
I’m not entirely sure but i believe the PS5 stretches the images but does it in a way where it doesn’t look overly stretched. Since its 29” and lot very wide, it doesn’t look too bad at all
is there a monitor like this but just slightly higher resolution like 1440p or even 4k? looking for some monitor thats leaning for better accurate colors for editing, while medium gaming spec max like 144hz is enough.
The G8 OLED comes to mind for 1440P. Closer to 4K the LG38WN95C. Both of those monitors feature USB-C. Keep in mind these are a lot more expensive, and I’m only going based on what I’ve used and reviewed before. This was my first budget ultra wide monitor review, so I’ll start reviewing them more often.
I am thinking of buying this monitor. It has a great price, and it seems to me that it would be good for connecting with a mac mini and with a ps5...,.'m not a demanding user. What do you think?
The monitor has a max refresh rate of 100Hz, so only 100FPS. Depending on the game you play and hardware you're running, the game might push frames even higher, but the monitor would only be limited to the 100.
@@FIREWOLFTECH thank you sm for the info, could u possibly post a tutorial on how to setup the monitor because I have it but have no idea how to set it up (with all the wiring and plugs) because I got it a while ago
@@Nami5283 I only had the monitor for a little bit for a review. Connecting it is pretty straight forward, connect the power cable to the monitor, and the last step is to connect it to either your PC or Laptop using DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB-C which depends on which device your connecting to of course
For macbooks in order to dock your laptop and use the display with the laptop close you have to have the laptop connected to power. Some displays have power delivery through the same usb-c cable that connects it to the display which means you only have to connect one cable. Since it doesn't have power delivery all it means is that if you want to use your monitor with mb closed then you have to connect two cables, one to connect it to the display and another to give the laptop power.
it basically means you have to connect your mac to its charger and then connect mac with the display using another c cable. if there was power delivery, the display would charge ur mac, while simultaneously using both of them, just with one cable- the monitor power cable.
29 inch ultrawide is still pretty sharp and clear for 1080p resolution. Any other ultrawide above 29 inch with a 1080p res, you would start noticing some pixels if you squint your eyes enough. Any other uwide higher than 29, I would reccomend higher res. Minimum 2k res. Well this is my preferences but if you want that bigger screen space but doesn't want to go broke and doesn't care much and if you can tolerate the pixels. You can find bigger monitor but this one is great enough for everyday works.

Thanks for the feedback.
These wallpapers are from wallpaper engine
Is it possible to play with the lighting of the screen?
is it perfect for hardcore games/Software for editing posts and creating videos?
Thanks for highlighting that the usb c port does not charge the laptop. Any alternatives to recommend with usb c charging?
It actually does charge
Got one for my Mac Mini M4. Is this a good pairing? For work and college (criminal justice) hasn’t got here yet.

They're basically the same except for the USB-C so if that's something you don't need or want, then go for the more cost effective option 🔥
