My mom said that to my dad a lot, and as a way to get back at her I would steal her weed and throw it away. I'd also help my dad out a lot and ignore her when she asked me to do chores, and specifically only do the chores my dad asked me to do. Same here. My dad has been working hard for 15 years to take care of me and my brothers. He dropped out of high school, went to an online college and did his best to find a good job, and now he makes six figures. He can't spend any of it on himself though. Because of my mom, he's deep in debt. She stole money from him, broke things he needed to replace right away (such as work laptops) caused probably thousands of dollars of damage to town and rental homes that he has to pay for, destroyed every car they've owned during the marriage, and on top of that, he has to pay for a lawyer to divorce her. He still made time to help us out and make sure we were taken care of though. He's my hero, and always will be. He didn't deserve the shit my mom put him through, and if I could now I'd slap her and every other parent like her.

Tbh when I watch these kinds of vids I realize how much my mother and my dad are doing to raise a child like me… when I watch these vids I suddenly feel guilty of all the times when I accused them for being bad parents when I’m reality they just want to raise me in a way that I won’t be an asshole when I grow up and the gratitude for that is clearly lacking for some kids nowadays.
