...I saw "the Jeff Beck Group circa 1970 at Detroit's Cobo Arena - Great... TH' about 1989... probably,... as a favor to a nephew who could not get a date this show... & I'm talk's about , who needs a singer.. as an artistically sucessful but financially failed guitar showman / singer here in 2024, I am awestruck to hear this again... and I thank you!....
What an awesome concert - it's really too much, this amount of talent all at once. So sad both are gone. I grew up in Dallas and when SRV died, the whole city was devastated. Now Jeff is gone too and my heart is broken again.
Thanks for posting this. Enjoyed this comment section. I also saw this show at MSG, Nov 89’. 21 years old. Still have the T-shirt. Beck & SRV..what a combo! Great to re-visit a vibe that I only had in my memory since.
We were there. Some friends and I had seen Stevie Ray Vaughn before, but to see both Jeff Beck and him together was the best. I remember there was Tony Hymas, and Terry Bozzio. I've seen Stevie Ray Vaughn maybe 5 times. I'll miss them both.
I saw Jeff with Stevie Ray at the Oakland Coliseum, I guess it was this tour. It was awesome to hear both of these masters at the same concert. Those were the days! Great to see this, thanks. RUclips rocks!
Just watched the BBC doc on Jeff. So glad to see his brothers Clapton & Page give him the praise he deserves. He's probably the only guitarist I can think of that has evolved so much(still is) and still blows everyone's mind. Saw this lineup in the early 90's with Santana in LA. Incredible. No one can do what Jeff does!
@@smashdalde9713 Oh! God! You have to see Jeff Beck before you die. Seriously, a force of nature, as you can see and hear, here. Now he's matured and evolved, just masterful. A true blessing to see in person 🙏 I hope you get to.
I saw him on this tour. It was fucking amazing. Stevie ray Vaughn opened up. And he was on fire. Just incredible. They both came out for the encore. I'm going down. Just a great night.
Wow, I've never seen footage of this lineup before. Guitar Shop is not amongst my favorite Jeff Beck albums, but this makes me like it a whole lot more.
RIP JEFF BECK - My buddy Rob was at the show and shared this with me. I must have not been paying attention to have missed it. It's against logic how much he does with no guitar pick.
What's unusual here is that there's no bass player, just a three-some. Jeff is in the spotlight more than ever! (Literally and figuratively.) And the track 'Stand on It' is awesome, never heard that one live. Really cool 😎 And "Good by Pork-pie Hat" is off the charts, with a bluesy solo section! Terry Bozzio is giving 110%! Amazing 👏
@@knightfall9394 I think he means Jeff Beck often has great bass players. I saw this show and loved it, but I also like Jeff Becks usual bass player choices.
Eagerly awaiting the release of Guitar Shop, earning $6/hour on a loading dock. That wasn’t a living wage at the time unless you factor in the OT I was working. Saw this tour in Sacramento, the first of my many times seeing Jeff and the only time I saw SRV. Fantastic show! Seen Bozzio with and without Jeff a number of times since then, too

First tour he played ‘Where Were You’ on … There are so many things only Jeff Beck does, that one always takes my breath away-still.
Where Were You at Ronnie Scott’s, was so intense, nobody made a noise when he played.
What an awesome concert - it's really too much, this amount of talent all at once. So sad both are gone. I grew up in Dallas and when SRV died, the whole city was devastated. Now Jeff is gone too and my heart is broken again.
❤️⭐❤️
Jeff Beck is so great - every performance of him should have been filmed.
Such a gutsy guitar player, he could make his axe sing. RIP my brave brother, see you at the great gig in the sky.
Oh Jeff !!
You are /was the best !!!
You will be back again -master magic!!💝👊🎵🎸🎵
I mean, wa all love Jeff... but Terry Bozzio is just badass too. thx for this.

This is why we need more than 1 like each.

Thank you that man who held the damn video camera the whole set!
Jeff with Terry Bozzio on drums and Tony Hymas on keyboards. Oh! And Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble opened. It was a show like no other.
Did you see this show,then?.. fucking awesome.
@@smashdalde9713 -- Same tour, but I saw it in L.A.
@@tswrench oh,ok.Seen many legends over the years but not Jeff...so far.
@@smashdalde9713 - I've seen Jeff Beck 5 times, and he is the most gifted guitarist I have ever seen. When he's on...mind blown.

Amazing....saw Jeff last year after wanted to see him for years. So bittersweet now he's gone
I saw Jeff and SRV twice on this tour - St. Louis and Louisville. Both kick-ass shows. It was the first time I got a chance to see Jeff live.
So sad we lost the guitar legend Tuesday 🎸 may he RIP
This is off the chart. Man Jeff was on fire here.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was amazing.
What really went beyond was his encore when he played some Hendrix covers.
Just fantastic 👏

If I’d seen SRV and Jeff together I’d have lost it ! Thanks did posting 👍🏴
so much uniqueness lost with the passing of Jeff Beck
Wow, I've never seen footage of this lineup before. Guitar Shop is not amongst my favorite Jeff Beck albums, but this makes me like it a whole lot more.
I was 21 and at this show with a hot aerobic instructor who was several years older than me....what a great night/month
RIP JEFF BECK - My buddy Rob was at the show and shared this with me. I must have not been paying attention to have missed it. It's against logic how much he does with no guitar pick.
Saw Jeff in Tulsa on 9-18-19. This video is when he was 45. At 75 Jeff Beck is STILL killing it!!!!!!!
1400 views and no comments? WTF!?
I went to this and when they both came out it was freaking fantastic
This is gold
I was at this show.
"Slinky, super slinky... boomers double ball ends!" Incredible!!! Wow!
Balls Deluxe!

Not unusual at all, tony hymas is covering the bass parts just like on the album

Outstanding.
Awesome! I have a copy of this but the first two songs have the audio ruined..... thanks!
I can't play guitar worth a shit, thanks a lot Jeff!
Ha!I'm a hack too..when compared with Jeff.Doesn't matter, Vinny.Just have fun, keep practicing and you won't fail!
We all feel the same after watching this🤦♂️
The best, ever!He could play Hendrix, but Hendrix couldn't play Beck
the clip of Jeff and Stevie should be in the Smithsonian..
52:00 Two Rivers
did you film this?
Terry Bozio!
🖤
what were you doing in 89'?

Seeing back to back nights of this tour in Sacramento and Oakland.
30:31-30:34 “Get in tune, asshole!”
SO RUDE, probably blitzed. Hope he didn’t do the driving that night
