My family were Jewish immigrants to Argentina so I really enjoyed this video! I appreciate your correct pronunciation and explanation of Yiddish. Thanks again for your excellent content.
It's a must visit for sure! I also wish that I would've brought more cash with me because I could've done a wine pairing with the tasting menu for only about $20 more, which was another great deal!
Thanks for watching! Yeah, there was some familiarity with the food for sure, but then it was taken in so many new directions. It was a really great restaurant!
I really loved this! The whole eggplant for the baba ganoush was awesome! The pastrami looks excellent, and you always have to end the night with espresso. But... What a great price!
Yeah, it was tremendous value! I love fine dining tasting menus, but it seems like they hardly ever fill me up, but I was pretty full after that dinner!
That food tasting menu looked delicious! Me & the gf love your food reviews / food blogs. You pick some epic restaurants to do your food critic reviews. Keep up the amazing work on you tube #food
Yeah, I didn't expect that much food too! Usually when it comes to fine dining restaurant tasting menus I'm often still left with room in my stomach. So I was really happy with how much food I actually got.
Thanks for watching! I think it might've been, but I wasn't positive, so I didn't want to say something that might not have been true. It was still pretty good!
'Mishiguene', the name of the restaurant, seems to be the Yiddish word for 'crazy'. ref.: 'Meshuga: Borrowed from Hebrew, meshuga (mi-SHOO-gah) means “crazy” in Yiddish. It can also be pronounced meshigeh, meshugeh or even meshugie.'
That's a great point! Unfortunately, I can be a sloppy eater at times and with food that good I didn't want to risk it falling on the table, so I moved in a bit closer to take my bites.
That's what I think that it probably was, but I wasn't positive, so I didn't want to say anything that could be wrong since I also knew that in the past that ice cream was a Turkish coffee ice cream. They do change components on their desserts pretty often.
I’ve eaten at Mishiguene (you should probably at least learn how to pronounce the name of the restaurant properly if you’re going to review it) a number of times. It’s good, but far, far from the a top 15 restaurant in Latin America when you compare to many of the restaurants in Mexico, Peru, and Brazil. They haven’t changed the tasting menu much at all in the last few years so it’s already getting stale, but if you can get a big enough group the chef’s table could be a fun experience.

I'm a tour guide student in Buenos Aires and you are helping me know some hidden corners. Great videos!!!
Thank you so much!
What a feast - and excellent, epic music choice!
Thank you! Yeah, "feast" is the perfect word to describe that meal!
Yes, loved the music, definitely fit the rather dim-lit ambience of this place!
@@sann5146 Thank you! I was really happy to find that music for the video.
I'm stuffed just watching this amazing pageant of food.
Yeah, it was a lot!
Amazing! definitely adding this place to my list when i visit Buenos Aires. $68 for 6 full courses is insane!

Excellent review. Excellent vibe. Keep pushing man 👍
Thank you! Absolutely! I'm going to keep on pushing!
Adding it to my forever growing list!
And it’s so cheap compared to the 50 best meals I had in Mexico.
@@Fufski Yeah, it's a great and really unique restaurant! It also helps when the Argentinian Peso to dollar rate is so favorable as well.
Thanks for this amazing review! Great restaurant pick! I really enjoyed seeing the different variations of dishes which are familiar in NYC.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, there was some familiarity with the food for sure, but then it was taken in so many new directions. It was a really great restaurant!
I love the show somebody feed phil! Your shows are along my favorite reviews!
Thank you so much! I'm a big fan of that show too!
i had a pleasure to dine there last year, indeed an exquisite experience.
Nice!
Glad you were able to get a table days later
Me too! I was just lucky I had extra time on my trip to be able to visit the restaurant again.

Thank you! I appreciate it! I'm going to keep on pushing!
What a experience that was… thanks for sharing! P.S. scarlet is definitely a good color on you 👔
Thank you! Yeah, it was such a great and memorable meal!
That’s a lot food! I don’t know how you ate it all. Keep up the good work.

What is the intro music? Great review! I subscribed
Thank you so much! The first song is From Russia With Love by Huma Huma.
Very jealous that beef burger looked insane
And noooo way you seen Bobby flay didn't you get a picture with him?
It was delicious! A picture would've been great, but I didn't want to bother him.
mabey the icecream was tahini flavoured? I am just guessing by tbe colour and intense flavour ? This was so much fun to see thank you!!

Looks great Andrew - I suggest bringing the utensil closer to your face rather than your face toward the utensil :). Feel free to disregard.

I'll never at here but I enjoyed the video anyway. 👍
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you so much!
Do you travel by yourself to these places? Really felt like you were right there!
Yep, it's hard for me to find others to join, but I still enjoy myself.
@@Jamesnu 🙂
How to make a reservation ? Their website is not available.
I ran into the same problem, but if you go to their Instagram page, they have a link to a website where you'll be able to make a reservation.
A tasting menu that includes coffee? Crazy
Yeah, it was really nice!
The ice cream looks like tahini (sesame) flavor

Me sorprende que no hayas ido a comer asado.. 😅
I actually got to go to an asado that very day for lunch. It was a competition held on Avenida 9 de Julio. It was fantastic!
What incredible value! $68 for such excellent quality food 😸 thank you for sharing this experience 😊
Thanks for watching! It certainly was an amazing deal!

@@Jamesnu, I wouldn’t even put Mishiguene in my top five in Buenos Aires.

I've heard the service at this place is horrible. Glad your experience did not confirm that.
It's hard to tell sometimes since I can only speak about my experience, but thankfully, it was a great experience!
$68 is cheap as hell for that food!!
It sure was! Since I'm back in NYC, I really miss the affordability of Buenos Aires.
This place has HORRIBLE reviews.
@workinprogress3609 I don't know what reviews you've been looking at.
